Meanwhile, Keiran and Concordia found themselves out in an open Plain. It was a very vast area.
"Keiran, Concordia, you've just found yourself in enemy territory. The goal of this trial is to make it out without getting captured. You are going to have to utilize as many concealment techniques as you've developed however, you're not allowed to use any of the technologies developed by your Peristylia" my Dad explained.
"That's a pretty tall order!" Concordia complained.
"Not really Concordia. Think back to the Taurus Level we played in the 'Basics Of Survival' Chapter. This is that kind of scenario. We've just found ourselves in a situation where our allies can't aid us. We can only make use of the resources discovered and created on the spot" Keiran explained.
"I see" Concordia realized what Keiran was getting at.
"But placing us on a Plain is indeed a tall order" Keiran sighed.
"You're right about that. If the enemy is scouting for us through the air, we practically have no cover" Concordia sighed in exasperation.
"The first thing we need to do then is attempt to conceal our position from potential Aerial Scouts" Keiran said.
"Yeah, this is just like the training I underwent with my Mom in the Mountain Of Olympus. If I alter my Kraken Andromeda to a Rocky Nature, I should be able to conceal our position however I should avoid making massive alterations to the landscape. If this is enemy territory, the enemy would have maps of their territory and any major changes to their environment will alert them to our presence" Concordia warned.
"You're right" Keiran realized.
"We should try and make it to the Jungle. If there are any Jungles around here, we'll have better cover within them than out here on the Plains. We should be concealed from Aerial Scouts if we can make it to a Jungle. If there's no Jungle, we should try and find Mountain Regions. They make for good defensive positions since they can hinder the progress of any foes that attempt to pursue us on land and provide a great Scout Range" Concordia said.
Almost immediately after Concordia had spoken, she and Keiran noticed a group of Giga-Wraiths approaching through the air. She immediately raised a Rocky Porcupine Defense around herself and Keiran.
"So that's the enemy huh? Seems like a simulation of the Weaver Of Calamity's forces" Keiran noted.
"I'll keep my Porcupine Defense Mode as minute as possible. We should remain as still as possible and just let the enemy pass us by" Concordia suggested.
Keiran nodded.
The Wraiths appeared to be surveying the area. Keiran and Concordia remained as still as possible, concealing their positions while observing the enemy through minute cracks in the Porcupine Defense Mode. After about five minutes, the enemy flew away.
"We've got to make it as far away from the Plains as possible" Keiran suggested.
Concordia nodded.
Concordia activated her Kraken Andromeda's Surf Mode and the two flew as quickly as possible away from the area. Once in the air, they noticed a Jungle in the distance.
"There, we can hide over there. It won't be safe to move through the air for long if the enemy has Aerial Scouts" Concordia suggested.
The two descended at the mouth of the Forest.
"This is good cover" Keiran noted as he stared above himself once in the Jungle.
The trees in the Jungle had wide branches that blocked line of sight from above the ground.
"We have no idea where we're going. Are we even heading away from the enemy's camp?" Keiran wondered.
"Ideally, we should be heading in the opposite direction from which the enemy approached us. It is very likely the enemy approached our position while heading away from their own camp. I doubt the enemy would want to head too far away from their Main Camp though. They'll most likely be surveying the area in an omnidirectional fashion with their Main Camp acting as the Focal Point. If we head in the direction opposite to where the enemy approached us from, we'll most likely be heading away from their Camp. We don't know how vast their Scout Abilities are though so we can't afford to drop our guard just yet" Concordia said.
Keiran and Concordia ventured deeper into the Forest.
