We all stood still with our fiery dragons towering over us.
"You've been able to conceptualize form. Congratulations" my Mom said.
"Yeah…however it's static. The forms do not move" I said.
"Of course they don't. The body doesn't just move on its own you know? There's another reason Flame is considered the Element Of Fortitude. Have you forgotten its effects over atoms with regards to motion?" my Mom asked.
"It amplifies motion" I said.
"And there's your answer. 'Nerve' is another term for 'Fortitude'. At the same time Flame possesses the ability to amplify motion, to animate or simply put, the power of 'Vitality'" my Mom said with a smirk.
"Nerve? I see…the nerves of the body communicate external and internal impulses within the body to the brain. However, they also communicate directives from the brain to other parts of the body for coordination and movement" I said.
"Exactly, you've succeeded in generating form however you haven't yet generated 'Nerves' for the bodies of your Dragons and because they lack Nerves, they are lifeless and static" my Mom explained.
"I see…makes sense. So that's how a Sigil finally comes alive huh?" Keiran asked.
"It's one of the reasons a Sigil comes to life but it is not the reason the Sigil achieves the status of 'Living Sigil'" my Mom said.
"Thanks for the tip. We'll try it out" Keiran said.
"Do you have any ideas Keiran, San?" Saito asked.
"Hey San, remember the flight suit with Wings you developed for us to explore the continents before we came up with the Islands?" Ciella asked.
"Yeah, it utilized muscle contractions as well as limb motions to coordinate flight speed, altitude and direction. It's worth a shot" I said with a smile.
"A flight suit? Mind sharing San?" Ariel asked.
"I'll make the concept available to you via the Pisces System Of Alliance" I said and checked my menu for the list of our Peristylium's Bloodline Limits.
I made the concept behind the flight suit available to Keiran, Saito and Ariel.
"I see, a concept revolving around flotation and aerodynamics huh? In a sense it's similar to the Camouflage Protective Gears we developed for the members of our Peristylium during the Feudal States Era Level" Keiran noted the similarities.
"We've generated Shinsei Ryuuenjinn's form by utilizing vein-like currents of Wind to generate outline and Skeletal Framework and then ignited the Wind with Flame to generate the body's mass. We can generate nerves by creating Strands Of Wind attached to both our bodies and to a corresponding part of Shinsei Ryuuenjinn's form. The Strand attached to our bodies must be minute however, it must grow in size as it approaches Shinsei Ryuuenjinn's form. The difference in size should be a scale that compares the size of our own bodies to Shinsei Ryuuenjinn's. If the Scale is disproportionate, there will be a misalignment of the nerves leading to a misalignment of centre of gravity and coordination resulting in sluggish movement, unnatural and wasted motions" I explained.
"Makes sense. Let's work on scaling our bodies to Shinsei Ryuuenjinn's. That should help us conceptualize the variations in size between the nerve ends attached to our bodies and those attached to Shinsei Ryuuenjinn's body" Keiran suggested.
After calculating the Scale, we generated nerve endings on suits we Dreamweaved and attached to our bodies. I generated a suit to help Ciella do this.
"The next step is to connect the Nerve Endings via vein-like currents of Wind" Saito said.
We got to work doing this.
"The greater the number of nerve ends connecting us to Shinsei Ryuuenjinn, the more precise our movements are going to be" Ariel said.
Once we were done, we generated currents of Flame through the Wind to amplify the strength of the Form. Then we began to apply simple motions. Shinsei Ryuuenjinn responded by mimicking our movements. Soon, coordination felt very natural. My Mom smiled at us.
"Congratulations on finally accomplishing the ability to effectively coordinate Shinsei Ryuuenjinn. The final phase of this part of your training programme is Augmentation and Equipping. Rest for now. We shall resume your training programme in a bit" my Mom said.
