Chapter 67 - EPISODE 67; THE THIRD SESSION! THE ROOTS OF CIVILIZATION! THE TWELVE NOBLE PROFESSIONS PART XI: BRIDGE BUILDING PART IX: CARTOGRAPHY VIA ENERGY PART IV: SURFING ON GRAVITATIONAL LUNAR TIDES

At about the same time that Saito and Ariel had created their Echo Trace Mode and Keiran and Concordia had created their Optical Devices, Mitsuki had integrated certain functionalities of her Sigil into the Peristylium's Bloodline Limits Repository Of Skills via the Gemini System

These abilities included an Autonomous Control Mode, Influence over the Moon's Gravitational Pull, Influence over the Moon's Gravitational Push, a measure for Gravitational Force and the conversion of Gravitational Force into Wave Readings for Mapping.

Arlene smiled as Mitsuki's Islands, jointed together by varying degrees of Lunar Gravitational Force sailed delicately through the Ocean on Perpetual Tides.

"You're using the Moon's Gravitational Pull and Push to generate Ocean Waves aren't you?" Arlene asked.

"Yes, the Lunar Cycle determines the rise and fall of Ocean Tides. As the seasons edge ever closer to a Full Moon, the Ocean Tides rise proportionally. As the Tides inch closer to a New Moon, the Tides fall in proportion" Mitsuki explained.

"That's true" Arlene admitted.

"Regarding our Sailing Method, I'm utilizing the Pull Of Lunar Gravity to generate Waves for Surfing. This ability grows stronger as the Light Of The Moon increases. It falls as the Light Of The Moon diminishes. You should have sensed this connotation from the Lunar Flowers in Dream City that glow with the Light Of The Moon" Mitsuki said.

"I see. You can utilize Lunar Gravitational Pull to raise the Tides and Lunar Gravitational Push to create Zones where the Tides Fall. By alternating Push and Pull, you can raise the Islands over the Waves and utilize the Gravitational Force acting on Falling Zones to amplify the speed of the Islands via topography right?" Arlene asked.

"Exactly" Mitsuki said.

"But what I'm really wondering about is how you're able to utilize this Skill for navigation" Arlene asked.

"Regarding that matter, whenever I exert Gravitational Push over the Ocean Zones around us, the Waves spread out evenly over the Sea and flow back to the Islands in equilibrium. I've integrated valves similar to Wind Vanes in an Omnidirectional Fashion all about the Islands. These valves measure the force with which the Waves I push outwards flow back towards the Islands. When the Waves flow back in equilibrium, which is measured by a device that converts the flow of the Waves into Graphical Representations, the force is almost equivalent and the topography of the Waves' Graphical Representation is almost even. However, when an obstacle blocks the path of a Wave I push outwards via exerted Lunar Gravity, multiple ripples are generated, these ripples become uneven Waves that flow back towards the Island in a distorted manner and the Graphical Representation Of The Ocean's Flow is distorted or simply put, Wave Readings are uneven and very haphazard" Mitsuki explained.

"So we're literally surfing on Lunar Tides huh?" Arlene asked with a smile.

"Exactly right. We can utilize the Lunar Tides to navigate, avoid obstacles and to adjust the speed of the Islands as well as their direction" Mitsuki explained.

"Pretty darn cool if you ask me" Arlene said with an impressed look on her face.

"I agree" Mitsuki said.

"You know Mitsuki, your abilities are practically unfair you know? Your sigil is already so strong in its dormant state, I don't even want to imagine what it could do in its active state if you had unrestricted access to it" Arlene said.

Mitsuki laughed.

"That's exactly why my parents imposed the Seal on my abilities and why the Seal's release is determined by the choices of my comrades. It's to balance things out" Mitsuki said.

"Doesn't it bother you sometimes?" Arlene asked.

"It does, but as time passes, you learn to stop complaining about things you can't change. The Sigil is my identity so even if I can't utilize the tool itself to its maximum potential, I have all the conceptual knowledge regarding how it works. That's what it means for a Sigil to represent the Identity of the Dream Knight. By improving my own abilities, I can upgrade my Sigil till I eventually overcome the imposed limitations. They say if you can't break through an impenetrable wall or climb one that is insurmountable, the only way left is to tunnel beneath it till you dig past its foundations. I'll eventually break through that wall via my creativity" Mitsuki said.

Arlene smiled.

"That's really admirable" she said.
