Chapter 50 - EPISODE 50; THE FEUDAL STATES ERA PART IV: SAGITTARIUS: THOSE THAT BATTLE AS RANGERS PART II: THE THIRTEEN DAY DEADLINE! THE FIRST THREE DAYS: PARTY IN THE JAIL CELLS!

Saito had infiltrated the enemy's fortress while Ariel observed everyone's stats via the Taurus System's Advanced Stat. Monitoring capabilities. She explored various parts of the fortress over the duration of a week and kept account of all the enemy's resources. The Weaver Of Calamity's Army didn't really need weapons. Most of their attacks were special abilities with Debilitating characteristics. They'd only captured the Village's resources to ensure that no one could use those resources against them particularly because the Clans affiliated with us were immune to their most devastating attacks thanks to the Phoenix Tears that flowed through their bodies so them capturing our Villagers was more of a battle of attrition than one aimed towards a decisive victory. Even Saito could immediately tell that our technology was completely useless to the Weaver Of Calamity's Army and its goals. It was antithetical to its ideals so there was no way the Weaver Of Calamity could achieve anything productive with our technology. Its aim was to keep us so occupied we'd have no time to think of and try to figure out its goals and how to stop it.

Saito was very peeved and irritated at this discovery. Keiran, Mitsuki and I had figured this out also.

"That Weaver Of Calamity is totally using some serious Matrix Agent Smith logic" I said as my eyebrows twitched in irritation.

Meanwhile, one of the Basilisks, the one that was in charge of the fortress I had infiltrated was coiled up in one of the fortress's chambers having a nap when suddenly, a tidal force cut through the yard blasting the doors to the chamber open and tossing a number of its men violently into the room before it.

"Who dares intrude?!" the Basilisk roared in anger.

I approached with my fists clenched.

"Let's keep this simple shall we?" I said.

I noticed the Basilisk begin to tremble all over for I was cloaked in my flaming cape and watery armour. Everyone else could only see my vessel however, the Basilisk could see past the guise and recognize me.

"You! You're one of the Guardians!" it screamed in horror.

"Thirteen Days. Thirteen Days to free everyone or I assure you…you will learn why the Dreamweaver is also known as the Nightmare Of Nightmares" I said and turned to walk away.

"The Nightmare…of Nightmares?! It can't be…you intend to summon the Nightbane…again?!" the Basilisk screamed as fearsome images of my Dad battling Zanböngfar echoed within its mind.

"I dare you to wait and find out" I said as I turned to face it, then I walked out.

"P.S. On the first day, there'll be a party in your jail cells" I said and disappeared.

I opened my eyes and found Ciella staring at me.

"San…tell me you did not just blow our cover" Ciella stared at me in disbelief.

"Ciella, we can't be cruel to the poor old Basilisk now can we? I at least had to give it a heads up regarding the entire torture scheme I've cooked up for it before crunch time actually comes. Simply put, this is me giving it enough time to reconsider, release the captives and surrender before I begin to weigh it down with the full brunt of the Sky Gryphon Peristylium's might. Every good leader goes to the negotiation table with an adversary before launching a war now don't they?" I said.

"Yes, they do" Ciella said.

"And I don't think I made any unreasonable demands. All I said was 'give me back what's already mine before I crush you'. I never asked for anything belonging to the Weaver Of Calamity" I said.

"What did you mean by 'a party in the Jail Cell'?" Ciella asked.

"You and I are going to make tons and tons of lemonade. Enough for four thousand captives all of which will be infused with Phoenix Tears. I'll check our Water Supply with the Libra System to try and discover whether or not there are Phoenix Tears still running through it" I informed Ciella and left to do as I'd planned.

Fortunately, there were Phoenix Tears running through our Water Supply from the Sea which was our source of Water. I recalled the drops of Phoenix Tears Ciella and I had dropped into the Sea and the Phoenix Tears' special trait of being impervious to dilution.

"Now let's get our lemonade breweries up and running. We're going to have to harvest tons of oranges and lemons" I instructed Ciella.

For a day, we harvested tons of lemonade and produced fifteen thousand, six hundred units of lemonade. Enough to last four hundred captives thirteen days. Next, we assigned these resources to our villagers in rations per day. One for each major time of day.

"On the First Day of Christmas

My True Love gave to me,

Lots of Lemon Aid from a Pair Tree"

I sang.

Ciella laughed.

The second day arrived. On that day, we harvested fifteen thousand, six hundred eggs and boiled them in Phoenix Tears. Then we assigned them to our people in addition to the Lemonade. I fanned the flames of the coalpot by blowing on it while singing;

"On the Second Day of Christmas

My True Love gave to me,

Tons of boiled eggs

And Lemon Aid

From a Pair Tree"

I sang.

Ciella just couldn't hold it in any longer. She burst into uncontrollable laughter.

On the third day, it was thirty one thousand, two hundred nuts boiled in Phoenix Tears plus all the aforementioned. As the nuts boiled in the cauldron, I stirred the mixture while singing merrily;

"On the Third Day Of Christmas,

My True Love gave to me,

Innumerable Nuts in Shells,

Tons of Boiled Eggs

And Lemon Aid from a Pair Tree"

I sang as we assigned the resources to the captives. Every day, the captives ate a little more than the previous day. On the first day, nothing seemed to be happening. On the second day, the sentries assigned to the captives began to draw away from the captives. Whenever they came close, they had an allergic reaction. What I was doing was increasing the concentration of Phoenix Tears in the captives' bloodstream which I knew the Weaver Of Calamity was allergic to. This caused the Basilisk's army to become allergic to their captives and they could no longer afflict them because they couldn't even draw close.

I smirked.

"My whole evil plan is working perfectly. Now in ten more days, we'll make the enemy allergic to his own fortress! MWAHAHAHA!!!" I laughed evilly as lightning illuminated the skies.

Ciella couldn't help but laugh as well.

"When they call you the grandson of the Nightmare King, it's no joke!" she said.
