In Keiran and Concordia's lands which they'd named the Reborn Azure Dragon Peristylium, Keiran stood up after a day's rest.
"It's about time we shifted some resources into other sectors. It's finally time to grow some Cash Crops specifically for the processes of producing Clothes. We need crops in particular that produce materials that can be used in Weaving, in particular, plants like Cotton and Flax. Talk about a Crib and a Jar or a filtered Jar Of Water. It's time to Cocoon and Metamorphose! The Caterpillar will finally commence its transformation into a Butterfly!" Keiran said with a cat-like smirk.
"Looks like he just went cat-mode again" Concordia stared at Keiran with a bored expression on her face.
"Well…in Egyptian Lore, Cats are the Guardians Of The Underworld. To even get to Anubis, you must go through them. To escape from the Underworld, you must first go through them. That's one of the reasons they are natural adversaries to snakes and by implication the Basilisk" Keiran explained to Concordia.
"In Greek Lore, it's the Cerberus" Concordia said.
"The Hound with one body and three heads. Indirect reference to Cancer right there" Keiran laughed.
"I'll assign the Leo System to our Village. They all exhibit unconditional loyalty towards Bahn so through Bahn, I'll instruct them to seek out plants through the Leo System's Analysis and Support Function. I will also assign the Taurus System to them and instruct them to adjust its Occupational Parameters from 'Agriculture' to 'Weaving'. The Joint System should help them zone in on crops that produce quality materials for Weaving. They'll harvest the seeds of such plants and bring them back to camp for cultivation" Keiran said and assigned the functionality to a group of Farmers through Bahn.
"I think you should assign a 'Cloth Weaving Functionality' to the Researchers as well as the ability to experiment with Virtual Cloth Producing Plants and Materials so to speak so that by the time the harvest of the actual crops is ready, they'll have the required knowledge to process them" Concordia advised.
"Good idea" Keiran said and integrated that functionality into the capabilities of the Villagers. "Done" he said.
From then on, a portion of the Farmers left to hunt for the seeds of cloth producing plants like Cotton and Flax while the Researchers experimented on Virtual Looms designed by Keiran through his Dreamweaving Abilities. He had assigned to the Virtual Looms certain Methodologies which the Researchers could study until they achieved some level of Mastery.
In Arlene and Mitsuki's lands which they'd nicknamed the Knowledgeable White Liger Peristylium, they were fortunate enough to have reared various forms of Wildlife with the capacity to provide support. They had domesticated their Wildlife through constant feeding with preferential diets to the point that their Wildlife never willingly left the Village without supervision. Also, they never killed animals unless to eat them and only utilized from the produce of their Wildlife, resources they could replenish. Most of their domesticated Wildlife had the potential to provide tremendous support when measured against the Leo Scale. When the Scale went deep beneath Ground Level, it meant, the scanned creature possessed hidden traits with the capacity for high support that were currently invisible to the Player. To discover those resources, the Player needed an equivalent level of Depth Perception. When the Scale was many metres above Ground Level, the connotation was that the Player needed to achieve the required level of Growth or Mastery to utilize the hidden resource.
Among the many species of Wildlife that Arlene and Mitsuki had domesticated were creatures the equivalent of Sheep that produced vast amounts of Wool. Arlene researched Cloth Weaving by accessing various Real World Databases through Christopher and cross-referencing them with information regarding Dreamweaving my parents had made available to the Dream Knights. Her researchers used the data she'd assigned to them via mini-representations of Christopher, integrated into the Village's Capabilities/Bloodline Limits via the Gemini System, to design Cloth Weaving Looms.
In our Village which we'd nicknamed 'The Crimson Phoenix/Golden Lion Peristylium' or 'The Sky Gryphon Peristylium', Ciella and I did the equivalent of what Keiran and Concordia as well as Mitsuki and Arlene had done except with unique resources and variations to technique.
"I doubt my Dad was solely speaking of fashion design. He said when it's hot, we should wear light clothing, when it's cold, we should wear heavy clothing yet at the same time we should utilize Temperature Adjustment Parameters. When dealing with Temperature, we often only notice variations when we are uncomfortable, to put it another way, in extreme weather however Temperature can be Hot or Cold, Warm or Cool. It's never completely one or the other. The more balanced the mix between both variations are, the more comfortable it is. When one or the other is out of balance, we feel discomfort. That's why we resort to light clothing in Summer and heavy clothing in Winter. In a sense, this is a Trial of Adaptability. Soldiers also have special clothing they utilize in enemy territory, it's called 'Camouflage'. The principle of the Chameleon and origin of the concept of Stealth" I explained to Ciella and assigned the skill to the Weavers in my group.
"I see" Ciella realized what the Aries and Virgo System was all about and why they were fused instead of separate.
"Besides Camouflage isn't necessarily 'fashion'. Fashion is meant to be flashy, it's all about standing out. Camouflage is all about blending in. It is possible to blend in by standing out though. The Clothes we're supposed to be designing are in a sense sigils. You've heard of Legendary Weapons designed by extremely gifted Craftsmen and things of the like. The game we're playing now is named after one of the most famous of them all. We're supposed to be designing Clothes infused with feelings that possess the ability to adapt and to protect. That is the Art Of Weaving. It's all about connecting seemingly isolated pieces of thread. Thread in the Ancient World could symbolize 'Lives' as well as 'Fates' so by connecting 'Thread' we can also connect Lives And Fates. The Weaver Of Calamity is a disgrace to the Art…but even he I must assign some level of respect…the lowest kind. The kind that ends with my foot planted firmly on his skull" I said with a smirk.
In the Knowledgeable White Liger Peristylium, Arlene coordinated her Researchers.
"A faction of you will focus solely on the study of Root Systems. Another faction on Stem Transportation Systems. The final group will study Leaf Systems and the process of Photosynthesis. Another faction will focus on the study of the preservation of Living Cells while the final faction will focus on the study of Plant Feeding Habits and the effects of their diets on Plant Growth" Arlene instructed.
"Why is that?" Mitsuki asked curiously.
"The key here lies in the preservation of Living Cells that have been severed from a Tree. If we are able to achieve that, we can apply the Principles Of Regeneration to create Self-Repairing Clothes and Armour. These Living Cells will then be integrated into Durable Mesh-Like Strands Of Thread and will serve as Conductors Of Sorts. The Key to the Regeneration Of Living Cells is Sunlight especially with regards to Cells harvested from Plant Matter. In other Living Organisms, it's protein, which ultimately comes from Sunlight as well. Plants process Sunlight and store it in categories of Nutritional Fruits that align with their specific needs. That's why different plants produce foods with different Nutritional Values though most food producing plants ultimately process their food through Photosynthesis. The Mesh-like Fabric made out of Living Cells will conduct specific spectrums of Sunlight that accelerate Regeneration. Either that or it will conduct proteins. We'll reinforce the Fabric with durable but light materials infused with Living Cells. The Conducting Fabric will be shielded via layers of Insulating Fabric to minimize damage to the Wearer Of The Fabric. The Clothes will then be able to guard against all physical attacks that are weaker than the Fabric. If we include Principles Of Shock Absorption, we can make the Fabric even stronger. The best part of this is the integration of Special Functions that can regulate the degree of Shock Absorption and Regeneration through the analysis of Muscle Contractions executed by the Wearer Of The Clothes" Arlene explained.
"You really went all out on this one didn't you Arlene?" Mitsuki asked.
"Sigils are as strong as the emotions channeled into their development" Arlene stated plainly.
Mitsuki nodded.
"You're right about that. In a sense the process is quite similar to the Agricultural Method Of Grafting" Mitsuki realized.
In Ariel And Saito's lands which they'd named the Flying Lion Turtle Peristylium, they had integrated into their Fabric Ariel's Blaze and Saito's Flame. Ariel's Blaze granted the Wearer Of The Fabric Absolute Immunity To Stat Debuffs. Saito's Flame granted the Wearer a 'Fortitude' Buff amplifying both Physical and Elemental Attacks of the Wearer to a degree.
Keiran and Concordia had implemented a scheme similar to Arlene and Mitsuki's but integrated with Multiple Elemental Shields via Keiran's Dreamweaving plus Elemental Abilities. This granted the Wearer Complete Adaptability, Absolute Stealth and Absolute Immunity to Elemental Damage.
"Congratulations on completing Xcalibur AOP 2! Union Of The Worlds Chapter One: The Basics Of Survival. Your first session has ended. It's time for the main event to begin. Time to log-out and enjoy the Alliance between the Pendragon-Kenyah and Kirisawa-Nightbane Families" my Dad said as we logged out.
