------------------------------------------
After a bit more than an hour, Hai stopped his small training which wasn't yielding tangible results and focused back on the girls.
Using mana to coat his eyes, he could see Kryn having a light blue sphere in her stomach while there was something resembling golden liquid inside this sphere.
Hai felt a slight familiar feeling between that golden liquid and the aura she emitted earlier, but he ultimately didn't comment on it.
Turning towards Hong Li-Wei, Hai saw that she had made…
"…" Opening his mouth like a fish and with a stupefied expression on his face, Hai dumbly looked at Hong Li-Wei.
He said that a sphere was the best shape to form a core due to its shape and capacity to hold mana inside, but she went above and beyond that.
Hong Li-Wei didn't form a sphere as a core, but she made a fricking chip.
Although not as well-versed as her in technology, Hai knew that this shape was a basic chip used as the first "stone" to build most of the hardwares nowadays.
Hai simply massaged his forehead, but he chose to not comment on it too.
A few seconds later, he felt two suction forces sucking mana from the surroundings at a relatively fast pace.
He saw Kryn absorbing the mana and then it arrived at her core where it was instantly bathed in that golden liquid and her mana was purified.
Hai raised an eyebrow seeing this.
Although it can differ from person to person, the way to purify mana is a process that is done in a semi-automatic manner by the mana core.
The fact that Kryn just needs to absorb mana and it will be purified instantly once it reaches her core is mind-blowing, to say the least.
Then, turning to Hong Li-Wei, Hai saw that although the speed which she absorbed mana was slower compared to Kryn, Hong Li-Wei absorbed mana and her chip/ core instantly started to work.
It would make the mana circulate in a certain way that all of the chip's "components" worked together and swiftly purified it.
"…" Hai looked at them before he picked another cigarette and lit it.
'I won't even question it anymore.' He thought while waiting for them to finish this process.
Right now, they are at the "Core Condensation rank". They are absorbing mana, purifying it and using this purer mana to solidify the core's "walls" and then condense it to maintain its shape on its own.
Looking at them doing it, Hai felt a bit nostalgic.
He remembered all those months he spent trying to figure out the best shape and way to form his core and all the times where he ruptured his organs, veins and ended tearing muscles due to making a mistake in guiding the mana.
He didn't have anyone to guide him, so he had to do it alone through trial and error.
But now, looking at those two not having this difficult, he felt glad to have learned enough to spare them from this.
After waiting for 10 more minutes, both of them finished this process and started to compress their core.
This process is done so the core will "occupy less space" and the mana inside it instead of being thin, will have to condense itself and become denser as to adapt to the core's smaller shape.
*BOOM*
*BOOOM*
*CRASH*
*CRACK*
"You b*tch!"
"Shut up, you masochist!"
*BOOOM*
Hai released a puff of smoke while ignoring the world ending where Chang Hua and the others were.
He looked at Kryn and Hong Li-Wei again before a sudden idea popped in his head.
After seeing them doing all of it, he suddenly wondered if he could make some alterations in his own core.
He had never thought of it because any mistake and you damage your core, and any damage in it is hard to fix.
However, Hai had his runes in his core so he could deal with it more easily.
Deciding to test his theory, Hai closed one eye and kept the other one on the girls.
With his one eye closed, he saw a dark space where a big blue sphere floated aimlessly.
Focusing on the sphere, Hai could see 12 rivers made of glowing pale blue light inside of it.
Looking at it, Hai noticed that the rivers came from seemingly nowhere and also went towards somewhere.
Looking at those rivers, he decided to test another idea which just popped in his head.
He willed his mana a bit and noticed how the "water" of one river started to act differently.
Then, he used mana slightly different than before and saw another river's "water" rippling.
He smiled at it and ran a few more tests before having a grasp of how to do things.
After being finished with his little tests, Hai then looked at the river and focused his concentration.
He stopped absorbing mana as this could bother the girls and started to execute his idea.
By willing his mana in several ways subtly different from each other, Hai started to control the water in those rivers, or better yet, the rivers themselves since they were entirely made of water.
Then, using some strategies, he redirected the river's flow.
He did it with one to test his idea and didn't have to wait much to see the result.
The river was successfully redirected and stopped at the middle of his core, the place which had no river in it.
After confirming that his idea worked, Hai started to do this with all other rivers, one at a time.
The second one.
The third.
The fifth.
The seventh.
The tenth.
And finally, the last one.
After finishing it, Hai saw the desired result.
By redirecting the rivers to one place, Hai created a small, but relatively deep lake.
He also noticed that the rivers didn't cease to exist upon creating the small lake, but instead, supplied the lake with "water", thus making sure that the lake never went dry.
Hai smiled at it and felt happy by his little accomplishment.
Unbeknownst to Hai, the system was observing his "little accomplishment" while questioning itself what is the meaning of life.
Hai don't know this, but the system as the previous world's will know that, what Hai just did is something that no one has ever done in this world.
He literally just created a path in magic which didn't exist and in his first try, no less.
The system started to question itself about life and effort, but it couldn't dwell much on it as the system nearly died when it saw what Hai did next.
Hai not satisfied only with that idea, did something even crazier.
He got out of his core's insides and looked at the big blue ball again.
Then, Hai willed his mana and separated two smaller balls of light blue color from his core.
From those balls, he purified their mana until the limit and the result was even smaller balls.
Then, he controlled those balls and carefully transformed them entirely in his elements.
One ball turned into a ball of frost and ice.
And the other one turned into a ball of metal with some small parts made of metal in its liquid state in the ball's surface.
Hai concentrated even more and started to work on those balls.
He stood still for a few minutes before making those balls start to circulate around his core.
When the system saw those balls, it got confused, but then it decided to inspect them.
When the system looked inside those balls, the system nearly lost it.
Those "balls" had cores inside them which kept producing mana.
However, the way they produced mana…
The system felt its program having a virtual heart attack.
Hai used of the nuclear fission's principle and made the core of those balls turn into mini nuclear power plants.
However, Hai had inscribed runes inside those cores, and even added his own original magic, "circle".
This made it so the cores produced energy out of the nuclear fission, but the runes controlled it so this process wouldn't destroy the balls and "circle" would make it so the process was reset and started again, and at the end of the process, there were the runes he put linking those balls to his core, making sure that the mana generated inside those small cores went to his main one.
By using of the principle of ying and yang, Hai created the balance between the instability generated by the nuclear fission and the stability proportioned by the runes, thus making a relatively stable process of production of mana.
And as in this space, only mana can exist, the nuclear fission could only produce mana instead of radiation.
Hai literally did two small power generators of mana.
Those balls started two rotate around his core like stars, and from this, Hai created two pseudo-stars and took the first step in creating his own "solar system".
Hai got out of his inner-world after making sure that everything was working fine and well and he immediately started to feel the difference.
Although it wasn't too big yet, he felt as if absorbing mana, controlling it and even purifying it had become way easier. Though he still needs to test how much.
Blinking his eyes, Hai saw that the girls were already finishing their process and that they got stronger foundations than what he had expected them to.
[Host…]
'Huh? What is it?' Hai asked while doing another check on them.
[What the f*ck did you just do?]
Hai smiled in amusement at the system's question before answering it.
'Magik, b*tch.'
[…]
*FUUUSSSHHH*
Hai noticed the fluctuation in mana and looked at the girls.
Then, he saw them opening their eyes and getting up.
*YAWN*
Kryn cutely yawned while doing some slight stretch.
Hong Li-Wei also did some stretching before turning towards Hai.
"I think I'm done forming my core." She said, but couldn't hide the smile on her face.
She was obviously happy about her core.
Initially she had thought that maybe she wouldn't be able to form one and walk the path of magic, but after having to create her core, she just thought: "why not do this my way?" and this resulted in her abnormal core in the shape of a chip.
Kryn also nodded expressing her feeling of confidence in her own core.
Although she doesn't know from where, but she got a strange familiar feeling that made her feel warm before vanishing.
This strange feeling also helped her in absorbing and purifying more mana.
Hai saw their happy expressions and smiled.
"Very good, now, do you two remember how you did to guide the mana inside you?" He asked while taking something out of his storage ring.
"Yes." Hong Li-Wei answered while feeling something wrong.
"Huh." Kryn also felt it, but she didn't react.
"Very good, very good indeed." Hai said before taking out two balls from his storage ring.
Hong Li-Wei looked warily at him the moment he took those two things out.
"Now, I will teach you a simple lesson. When you move mana inside your body, you can use it to strengthen your muscles, bones and body as a whole." Hai said and started to throw the balls up and catch them in his hands.
Hong Li-Wei started to slowly get away and Kyn looked confusedly at her.
"Let's get out of here, Kryn. That guy is nu-"
"Lesson 1: Always be on guard and be open minded. You never know when and where you are going to need to devise new solutions to solve simple problems." Hai suddenly vanished from his place.
*SWOOSH*
"ACHK!" Hong Li-Wei suddenly screamed when she felt something hitting her belly.
She looked below and only saw a blur going away from her and vanishing in plain view.
"In this lesson, you will need to figure out how to strengthen your body so the balls won't hurt when hitting you. And don't worry, I'm controlling my strength, so aside from hurting a bit, they will do nothing more. Oh, and Kryn, you can do it. And please don't hate me for this." Hai's voice echoed, but they couldn't find him.
*SWOOSH*
"Ugh…" Kryn groaned when she felt a ball hitting her leg.
Although it didn't hurt that much, it is still bothersome to be hit like that.
"You fiend! You even dared to do this to a chil- ACHK! Let me finish, damn it!" Hong Li-Wei screamed in frustration when Hai hit her again with a ball on her arm.
"The faster you figure out how to strengthen yourself, the less you will suffer. Now, think faster." Hai's voice echoed before two blurs made their ways to the girls.
"Sh-" Hong Li-Wei stopped talking while ducking to avoid being hit.
