"ARGH!"

"AH! HAI, YOU LITTLE SHI- ACHK!"
"Language. There are children in here." Hai's voice echoed around Hong Li-Wei and Kryn, but the most pressing matter right now was to avoid being hit by those damn balls that come out of nowhere.
"Focus on learning how to reinforce your bodies. There are times where you will have no choice but tackle the problem head-on, and this problem might run over you if you can't do it." Hai advised them while slowly walking around them.
Although it seems that he is just walking, his speed is something which both girls can't even dream of following with their eyes.
While looking at them, Hai noticed that the hits were occupying their minds and they couldn't focus on guiding the mana as a consequence of it.
Slight sighing to himself, Hai decided to test something as well as try to motivate them.
'Let's see… I think this should do it.' He thought before smiling and throwing another ball.
<*SIGH* Hurting them is really something that bothers me to no end. Mainly Kryn. I just hope they learn this lesson fast. Although they have it easy now, I don't know for how much time it will still be this way. They don't know the luck they have in not needing to do this while avoiding dying. Come on, you can do it girls, I believe in you.>
Chang Hua and the other girls stopped fighting for a brief moment and looked towards where Hai was.
They looked at Hong Li-Wei and Kryn before shifting their gazes back to each other while having different reactions.
Bing Qing although feeling bad for seeing someone do this training to a child, felt that Hai's points were valid. If he didn't teach her at least the basics, Kryn could die to anyone who knew a bit of them.
Stella felt pretty complicated. Although she is annoyed with Hong Li-Wei, she also wants to see her becoming stronger, so maybe she doesn't have to hold herself back when beating the shit out of her during an argument.
Elena said nothing and only displayed a small smile due to her young master's care for them.
Chang Hua meanwhile smiled bitterly. Others might not know it, but she as someone who frequently played and talked with Hai knows. He was testing if they can hear him, and with this, he can get a hang of what are the requirements for them to hear his thoughts and thus, know what they can hear and what they can't.
And Hai's brief glance at their direction after he thought it just confirmed Chang Hua's guess.
Meanwhile, Hong Li-Wei and Kryn who heard his thoughts stopped trying to dodge the balls.
Kryn felt a fire burning inside her when she heard Hai's worry and hopes for them, and she didn't want to let him down.
She started to circulate the mana inside her and focused in guiding it to her legs.
Hong Li-Wei also felt the same.
Although she doesn't often show it, she really appreciates everything Hai has done for her and her team in the past, so she wants to help him in what he needs. And now, hearing his worry, she felt like crap for just complaining about his training and not trying to learn what he wanted them to.
Seeing their changed expressions, Hai smiled.
He now knew a few of the requirements of them hearing his thoughts and he motivated them. Two birds with one thought.
Hai slightly lowered the speed and frequency at which he was throwing the balls as he knows that guiding mana for the first time can take a toll in the user's mind, so he gave them a bit more of time between the hits to concentrate more.
Kryn closed her eyes and she saw a dark place where a golden ball floated soundlessly.
When she saw this ball, she instinctively knew that this was her mana core.
However, in the next moment, she suddenly realized that she didn't know how to draw mana from her core.
The core suddenly glowed, as if to answer her will and Kryn felt mana leaking out of her core.
After a brief second of surprise, she regained her focus and started to guide this mana towards her legs.
Hai's smile widened when he saw with his eyes a golden liquid flowing from Kryn's core towards her legs.
Although crude, she was going in the right direction.
After focusing solely on guiding her mana, Kryn felt her legs becoming stronger and she felt like she could kick a wall now.
After some seconds of strengthening her legs, Kryn opened her eyes just in time to see a blur hitting her legs.
*BAM*
With a dull sound, Kryn noticed how she didn't feel anything aside from a bit of force in that ball.
She didn't feel any pain nor something that bothered her.
"Congratulations, Kryn." She heard Hai's voice and instantly felt happy that she did it.
Hong Li-Wei meanwhile wasn't far behind her.
Focusing on her core, she started to see her body as a big system.
By using her chip/ core, she imagined small channels from where the information (mana) would go through and in the next instant, she felt mana leaving her core and going towards her legs.
After getting an estimative of how much mana was used to reinforce x% of her legs, she started to use an appropriate amount of mana to reinforce her legs to an acceptable degree.
*BAM*
Hong Li-Wei opened her eyes after hearing a dull sound and blinked them when she saw a ball at her feet.
"Congratulations, sweet." Hai suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
Hong Li-Wei smiled, but in the next instant she looked at Hai and kicked the ball with all her strength towards him.
Hai raised an eyebrow when he saw the ball coming at high-speed towards him, but he just tilted his head to the side and flawlessly dodged.
However, when Hai looked at Hong Li-Wei again, he saw her jumping towards him while strengthening her arms with mana and punching him.
'She already understood how to do it? That is my sweet for you, I guess.' He sidestepped her punch and was welcomed by a kick from none other than Kryn.
Hai smiled bitterly; it seems that his little training had irked those two a bit.
Raising his leg, Hai avoided her kick, but was swiftly welcomed by another punch from Hong Li-Wei while Kryn tried to kick his legs again.
Hai just smiled and let his body fall to the ground.
He avoided Hong Li-Wei's punch and when he fell to the ground, he raised his legs, put both hands on the ground and pushed his upper-body up while bringing his legs downwards as to land on his feet.
*TAP*
Softly landing on the ground, Hai looked at both girls whom he just dodged the attacks.
Hong Li-Wei looked at Hai in disbelief. Meanwhile, Kryn had stars in her eyes after seeing the cool way that Hai dodged their attacks effortlessly.
Hong Li-Wei looked to the side before smiling.
"Now!" She shouted and a few figures suddenly jumped towards Hai.
The person in question turned to see the newcomers and saw his aunt and the other girls.
"Change of objective, the first one to beat him wins." Chang Hua said with a smile on her face while she sent a small but powerful shockwave towards him.
Bing Qing just nodded, she felt that it would be a good training to "spar" against someone like Hai.
Stella thought that she could repay the humiliation Hai made her go through, so she was the most excited of the group when she heard that the objective was now to beat him.
Elena just smiled; she was used to sparring with her young master as he was the one who taught her a bit of martial arts and how to take her first steps as a mage.
Even Jia was in it as Chang Hua dragged her in this little game of theirs. However, she was just going to stay as a support for now.
Hai saw everyone coming towards him and felt amused at their antics, but didn't comment on it and decided to play along.
Raising his right hand, he slapped away the shockwave Chang Hua sent before tilting his head and dodging Stella's rocket punch.
Then, Hai kneed her stomach and Stella was sent flying backwards.
Using of a flying Stella as a cover, Bing Qing approached Hai like a snake and thrusted her sword towards his chest.
Hai raised his hand and redirected the sword with the back of his hand.
While dealing with Bing Qing's attack, he noticed from the corner of his eyes Elena throwing a punch at him with her hands covered in purple miasma forming a gauntlet.
An ice wall spurted out of the ground and blocked her attack.
Hai used more force in his hand and threw Bing Qing away while he took a step back and dodged Chang Hua's mortal vertical kick.
*CRACK*
The ground cracked when her hit landed and Hai looked at her blankly.
"Are you trying to kill me?" He asked while spinning and moving towards the side before jumping.
This dance-like move swiftly made Hong Li-Wei's and Kryn's surprise attack miss him by a hairbreadth.
"Who knows~?" Chang Hua answered playfully while moving one hand behind her back and doing a hand signal to Jia.
Jia said nothing and snapped her fingers.
Hai suddenly saw that everyone was already in the air less than a meter away from him.
"Alright, I will pretend I believe in you." Hai said before starting to act.
Using his metal affinity, Hai created a pole that spurted out from the ground and stopped Bing Qing's swing, and as a result she lost balance and fell quicker to the ground.
Stepping back while twisting his upper-body to the side, Hai dodged Stella's attack while catching her wrist with his hand, spinning and throwing her towards Hong Li-Wei who was coming from behind him.
Hai then spun back while forming an ice gauntlet in his left hand and raised it at his head's height.
*BAM*
With a strong force pushing his arm, Hai used of a technique he knew of and redirected the attack's force back to the attacker, thus sending Elena away and towards Bing Qing.
Raising his hand towards behind him, Hai used his mana and made an ice ball before firing it towards Kryn.
*BOOM*
His ice ball collided with her small fireball and both were obliterated leaving only a small explosion sound behind.
"Good work, Kryn. That fireball was amazing." He said while catching Chang Hua's punch by her wrist and throwing her towards Jia.
Jia snapped her fingers again and everyone suddenly found themselves near Hai again.
"Let's go!" Stella said while using mana to reinforce her arms and sprinted towards Hai.
Bing Qing used the runes in her sword and fire coated her blade while lightning started crackling around the blade.
Elena vanished from where she was and appeared at Hai's back while punching his waist.
Hai just stepped forwards and avoided Elena's attack, then he kicked her without looking and while forming an ice sword in his hand.
Elena blocked his attack, but she was still sent several meters back before stopping.
Hai leisurely swung his sword at Bing Qing's and slight twisted his wrist while tilting his sword downwards.
As a result, Bing Qing's attack was redirected and she had to readjust her balance and position.
*BAM*
"Ugh…" Bing Qing groaned when she swiftly spun around and used her sword to block a blunt projectile from colliding against her.
Hai had turned his sword into a small pole or a bigger stick and threw it at her while tilting his head to the side and dodging Chang Hua's aura fist.
Raising his hand, Hai put it in her breasts and using of spontaneous strength generated by his muscles, Hai transmitted his force from his touch and brought his hand back, thus sending her a few meters back.
Hai then put his left foot aligned with his right one standing in a sidewards pose before leaning his head back a bit.
*BAM*
He dodged Hong Li-Wei downwards kick by a hairbreadth before flicking her forehead.
"Achk!" Hong Li-Wei felt a bit of pain from his flick and adjusted her position.
Hai moved his hand to the side and froze Kryn's flames which were coming towards him.
*CRACK*
*SHATTER*
The flames shattered into small shards of ice before vanishing.
Hai looked at everyone while maintaining a slight smile on his face.
Then, he made a "come at me" gesture.
A vein bulged in everyone's forehead when they saw him doing it and Jia sent everyone close to him once again.
Hai just smiled and waited for them to come closer.
