Waking up as an ex anbu under Kakashi, now doing ninjustu research, after Sauske had defected just yesterday was definitely not my plan, but I can adapt.

The reason for that being that I only recently shifted from anbu to research and I still have about a week before I publish my mandatory research results.

That though, is only a small part of it, currently having chunin capabilities as if I had reached them myself, was definitely a factor.

But the main reason being the translucent screen in my field of vision.

Then I felt my thinking clear up a lot, along with increased thinking speed, and even many things became easier to understand.

It also gave me all element affinity and talent as how could I research without being able to use said energy or skill.

Now I could basically deduce any skill or research up till my strength level.

That was fine though, as the skills I develop, I will get them at max level, so it is a great deal.

Plus, this is a good cover for me as I will not be enslaved with Tsunade incharge.

So, I had no worries with Danzo, as I will only develop basic skills publicly.

Hiroshi then started to make the first ever skill he would make which was the start of plot change.

The first ever technique he will be making is the most basic skill in this world, which is chakra extraction.

The current chakra extraction technique drains all the body's spiritual and physical energy, so after chakra extraction, instead of being energetic, people get exhausted.

I felt that chakra extraction was like a loop as in all fantasy worlds, meditation, or energy gathering or assimilating doesn't make one tired and only hungry, but still energetic.

So, I felt that chakra extraction was an incomplete technique and only part of a loop.

My doubt only intensified as Sage mode was introduced.

In Sage mode, with out own chakra, surrounding chakra is mixed in equal proportion to get boost of energy.

For animals who only practice Sage mode, they don't get the exhaustion after Sage chakra making when they are even using chakra for the process.

Also, after Sage mode unless they are tired due to battle.

Similarly, like in the novels, when absorbing energy or meditating to increase your energy no matter which type, they absorb or make it, then run it through the body, and only then store it for themselves.

But in chakra extraction, it is only extracted and stored, so for the first ever project, Hiroshi decided to make it more efficient or just complete it.

Thus, days passed quickly and by the end of the week, he had completed his first ever technique.

It was not too great, but it was perfect for what it was intended for, which was building a foundation for the body to extract and store more chakra.

Along with that, there were some unexpected benefits.

It passively increased the chakra regeneration speed by a lot, and in percentage.

So, this was applicable to even kage level experts.

Apart from chakra regen, it also increased the chakra capacity and body limit to a little more than original.

Although little, it is always welcome.

The best part being that it made chakra control easier as the body was more familiar with chakra.

This was something I didn't even expect a little, so it was a pleasant surprise as although the other two were also surprises, I expected something like that, so no biggie.

Another good thing was that it decreased the difficulty of chakra extraction as no matter how little is extracted, it will always increase after every session.

So, after successfully making my first skill, I immediately got the feedback.

Yeah. Even I was surprised by that.

From further exploration, I found out that any passive or growable skills I have will be active automatically forever.

Thus I got to know another benefit which is apart from normal intake, this technique did not take extra energy as it gives energy back, and thus restored the body instead of tiring it out.

This in turn keeps the body at good condition as long as this technique is used daily.

Apart from increased appetite, there is no other side effect.

So, I compiled my technique and report for the same, and submitted it directly to the hokage as researchers could do that, provided the technique was worth the attention else there will be punishment.

I could not submit directly to Tsunade, but instead gave it to Shizune.

After meeting her, I realized that shounen anime really had something against female characters being beautiful.

Turns out, they are much more beautiful in person.

With that done, I went to Ichiraku to treat myself.

Although I had memory of the taste, but memory and real thing are much different.

Which I agree to hands down as it was really delicious.

This also gave me another discovery that I can only research in stuff I have skills or knowledge in.

Well looks like I got just the thing I wanted.

But this will take more time as I have more plans for other basic skills before I move to this.

For now though, I just enjoyed my break as I am going to enjoy and not just throw myself to research.

This is a hard earned second chance which I don't want to waste being power hungry.

So, the rest of the day and the next, I just spent lazing about, trying different food, and exploring good scenic spots throughout Konoha.

It was really fun.
