If time could be turned back, I would ask to meet again with Mother, stop time, so that time does not run and the painful past never happened. The only thing I brought with me from Chicago was the necklace my mother gave me that would never fall from my neck. It was the last gift of someone who I missed so much.
"Wait! I didn't mean to offend you." Liam shouted, turning all the other students' eyes that were glaring at me with envy.
Oh, okay, I know myself. They must have looked down on me again—Liam would be the umpteenth person I'd use and just dump him. I didn't care about the sound of the screams, then quickly sped up the steps towards the library.
After that, I sighed. Liam reminds me of a kid I miss so much in Chicago. Could it be, it was Ian, the best friend at school who had saved my life long ago?
But..... Is it possible? The figure Ian used to know was fat, a little black and short, came from a poor family, lived in an orphanage instead. Stupidly, if I think it's Ian, my heart screams abnormally and….. Always asking to be with him? Good grief. Liam is a nobody. I admit he does come from Chicago but that doesn't mean it's Ian.
While still imagining the figures of Ian and Liam, a tap on the shoulder made me jump in surprise and turn around. It turned out that Calissa had come after me at the library.
I cleared my throat. "I was hit by someone on my way to the library. Surprisingly, he recognized me even though I'd never met him before. If I'm not mistaken, his name is Liam."
Calissa gasped, with her mouth open, not expecting that I'd be able to meet the man even though he had just told me in the room this morning.
"What?! I swear fate is on your side. Without me knowing you, you met first." Calissa while chuckling in admiration.
"How are you, cute, right?"
"Reasonable."
"Not bad, you say? You'd better go home, continue to drink a bucket of carrot juice. Your eyes need renovation because it's unlucky to see a man as handsome as him."
"Hmm... come to think of it, he's handsome." my voice is low.
Calissa immediately squinted her eyes and said, "You are wishy-washy! Don't tell me Liam will be your next target." Her eyes bulged disapprovingly when I approached him, trying to make him fall in love, submissive and obedient so that he was lulled by the fakeness of my love, then I just dumped him.
"Who knows. This time I'm not interested in Liam. My heart refuses, not intending to take advantage of him." I snorted in annoyance.
"Serious? Are you aware? I don't believe it if you refuse to take advantage of him. I know, Liam is your ideal type of man," concluded Calissa confidently.
"I'm serious! Liam reminds me of someone, and my heart refuses to target him."
"In that case, I can get him based on your approval. It means you admit defeat. Deal?" Called Calissa.
"Deal!" I said calmly.
"Don't worry, I'm not less experienced when it comes to love." Calissa smiled broadly.

"Alea, let's go home together, let's go!" Liam took off his helmet and spread a smile. Several girls smiled enviously to see Liam offer me a ride on his motorbike.
"Can't you see I have a private driver?" I snapped sarcastically.
"It's better if your driver is retired so I can pick him up."
"If my driver retires, can you feed Abu and her child? Go away from here!"
"Until you come with me, I'm not leaving."
Luckily was still on my side. A few seconds later a black car, with a very familiar license plate number, arrived. I waved my hand down the street signaling that I was standing there, trying to run away from Liam who was bugging me. The car stopped in front of me, and I got in the car. The sound of the engine roaring behind.
"Aleaa..."
Damn it, I thought annoyed.
"What else is there any way?" Why is this man now busy knocking on my car window and calling my name even though he is still driving his motorbike?
"Your friend is outside. It's better if we stop, it's dangerous if we keep knocking on the window." Abu's voice reminded him.
"Don't mind him, just go fast!" I said, still irritated.
"Okay," nodded resignedly.
The car was running very fast. After a few minutes, we were able to get away from Liam. I relaxed a little, then leaned my head back and closed my eyes.
Just when my mind was about to enter dreamland, again the long screeching of the car was deafening. My eyes opened wide and in that second I could see Liam blocking the road with a motorbike in the middle of the road.
My anger overflowed.
My mouth swore half to death, stepped out of the way, sprayed Liam with scathing words.
"Suicide doesn't have to involve other people. Are we aware that my car can hit you? It's not only you who die but me too!" I pointed right before his eyes.
"Your voice is shrill too! You're so shrill that your neck veins are about to break," he said casually with an annoying tone.
"My request is simple. I just want to get to know playgirl of the school more." he continued chuckling slightly.
"The vacancies for acquaintances have closed. Get out of the way! Before I burn your favorite motorbike." My eyes are fiery.
"Haha... You're funny too. But this time you're safe, I'll let you go. Next time I won't let you." He joked a little, then drove off as fast as lightning leaving the roar of the sound and the smoke of his motorbike. I knew Liam was purposely provoking my emotions.
