"Finally here, did you kill him?" I asked.
"Nah, just made sure he won't be able to live anymore." she sulked then said,
"Why of all things, why a horse cart?"
"Enjoy the view, you only know how to be trapped in a noble carriage and suck d!cks."
"You... why are you also like this?" she started crying again.
Let her die of dehydration.
"Why did he do that to me? why everyone is like this?" she cried louder.
"It is because you stayed in my lab and room almost 15 hours out of 24 so he bound to have some suspicions and reduce his guilt. Your choice of guy was also not very excellent."
She gulped hard and went to the other side.
"I heard that." said the carriage driver while smiling.
"Want to be the driver found dead in the morning news?"
He turned away.
After fifteen minutes...
"Are we there yet?"
"Do you know the route of your hometown?"
"People, who answer questions with questions, don't live a long life." I said.
"20 minutes to get off."
After twenty minutes, we met quite a compact man at the edge of the my hometown where the road forks to another city.
"You really love your son that much." I smirked and hugged him.
"I have been standing here since last few tens of days from morning to evening because your mother is sure that you may arrive any time."
"Quite a sad life you have there."
Life is life.
We would have to walk the rest of the trip.
"Have you been cheating on Natalia?" said the old man.
"Gone senile already." I said.
"Then why is that crying lady following you?" he asked.
"Why does that have to do with it?"
He smirked with pride and said, "Dear Illyum, this old man here has gone through a lot of women and their emotional turmoil before settling with your mother. Her tears scream that she could recently betrayed by the one she thought was the love of her life."
I almost vomited out.
"Then why would she follow me?"
"Who knows, maybe to ask for sympathy from your mother?"
"Then, she won't be getting any because my fiancee is her friend's daughter. Although, I never saw her mother since she lives in the city."
The town square is finally here,
I have some memories of this place.
That fruit seller there, someone else was there at least nine years ago, I don't remember his face clearly but he used to give me some apples as a gift whenever I passed by with my father.
There was a young lady singing from that roof every evening but the house seems abandoned and the window is a bit old.
The village square guard hasn't changed, still doing his duty with vigilance even through there are almost no crime.
No, maybe there is someone else below that mask.
"Oh Mr. Illran, why don't you teach some tricks to the newly recruits of this time? Are those some mages behind you, from the academy?"
The voice behind the mask was much younger than I imagined.
Totally of same age as mine.
"Albert, what are you talking about? He is my son!"
Father loudly thumped on my back and and laughed.
"Your son?! Does that mean?"
He inspected me up and down.
"What is the matter?" I asked.
"Nothing" he gave me a weirdly forced smile.
As we moved on father whispered to me, "Be careful of him."
"Is he a god?"
"Illyum, stop joking, I am serious here."
"No, you are not since the only person that could scare me must be a god."
"He is an unimaginable talent. I am sure that he has a great future ahead of him if he continues working as hard as now. He may even surpass the current me."
"I am not afraid."
"He likes Natalia."
"Continue speaking,"
"He is totally head over heels for her. He proposed her at first sight but got immediately rejected with a 'Oh! but I have a fiance.', he then went out for blood until he knew that you are my son. Although, at that time he left this matter out of respect for me. He has been trying all kinds of tricks to woo her."
"Anyone else being such a nuisance?"
"Whole town boys are crazy for her but only two beside him got the courage."
"Other two?"
"One gave up and the other is playboy messing around with others."
While we were discussing some worldly matters of the town, Rishta sneaked upon us and said, "I am sorry for bursting on you."
"When?" I asked, pushing the old man aside.
"For all until this time."
She shyly turned her head away.
"Why now of all time?"
"You just seem more handsom-"
"I accept your apologies," and shooed her away again.
Since, we reached my home.
Mom and a lady were sitting and gossiping around the garden table outside a pretty normal, white themed house.
"Illyum my boy, you are here."
Mom ran and hugged me tightly.
