Chapter 19 - 19. It Makes Me Angry

"It is wrong to think Kind a weak and feeble individual. You may deny it, but I can see right through you. You want to possess him, lock him in a place where nobody knows but you, I'm I wrong?" Swalha was sitting in her office in her private practice. She hadn't been home so she invited Kind to her place of work. When Wale did not respond, she warned, "I have a patient coming in in an hour so if you are not going to cooperate you're free to leave and do as you please."

"I'd never thought I'd ever come here, not even once. I hate places like this and those who practice your profession such as yourself believe they have an upper hand, always manipulative, asking open ended questions that confuse and lead to brainwash..." Wale stopped midway, he was loosing his control and that is what Swalha was looking for, waiting for. He was not going to give it to her or play her game, instead, he'd lead her on as she did. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that Swalha."

"No need for apologies, at least for the first time you're truly speaking your mind, therefore you must tell me how you found out Kind's feelings for you. He has been very supportive of your relationship and was careful to not be discovered." Swalha stood up from her chair and walked around the table at the center of the room. She had always wanted Wale to seek some mental health check but he had refused help form anyone she had suggested. Well, he was here now so she was going to make the most of it since he seemed triggered. His tough exterior revealed a crack and she wanted to keep hitting on that crack as hard as she could until it crumbled. Wale scoffed at her remark. "Then he should have said something since it's almost a year since I discovered."

"Wale, does it make you upset that he is with someone else?" She asked to which he didn't deny his feelings. "Perhaps you're right, Kind has no right to be happy when you're not happy yourself. Why should he be? After all, he understood your pain and promised to be with you forever, never to abandon you. You have given him everything, but I know from experience no one really gives you everything for nothing Wale, so what do you really want from Kind?"

Wale was watching Swalha, he could tell what she was trying to do but he kept losing his resolve whenever she mentioned Kind. He'd initially supported Swalha to be with Kind when in collage, she'd been very timid, he could have never predicted her meek nature would birth forth a woman so fierce, nudging him to confess his sins. "It is true Kind loves you and wanted to tell you on many occasions but you were with someone else. It is only right he finally has found someone who cares for him...maybe more than you ever did."

"That can't be so. He has done this before and it always came to an end." Wale stated. "That was because you kept meddling in his private life and that pushed many people away from him." Swalha walked back to her seat, it was almost time before one of her patients came in and didn't want Wale to be here. "You have fifteen minutes. I'm sure that's enough time for many to speak their minds but since that is not happening today, I'm sure by now Kind has had a great time with his boyfriend so you're free to leave and tell him your truths, that is if you're willing to be honest with him," to which Wale declared, " I have always been honest with Kind and why do you keep pissing me off with those boyfriend remarks?" Standing up, Wale walked towards Swalha, and looked at her desk. She had been writing something when he came. "What were you scribbling before?"

"My conversation with you, what to ask you. Every psychiatrist does this before their session. Make sure you pay up for this session when you leave, unless you can confess your feelings to Kind and finally stop pretending that you don't care, I can accept that too only for this session." Swalha stated. "I have no feelings for my best friend apart from those of a brother. I want to protect him so he won't be betrayed as I was and that Todo guy is not good enough for him."

"Because you are?" Swalha asked him and Wale shamelessly agreed. "I do not think Kind is with his boyfriend because he sees him as a brother and neither does he see you as one." Crossing her arms on the table, she continued, "I feel like you're asking me for dating advice but are too proud to admit it. From your reactions, you seem unaware of your feelings towards Kind so let's try and break it down a little." She stood up and walked to Wale, then stopped in front of him, locking her eyes with is. "I'm sure you must have imagined having feelings for Kind were absurd, or maybe you thought Kind to be confusing his feelings for brotherly affection, yet, you keep thinking about it and it must makes you anxious when he doesn't keep in touch. You probably don't like him the same way he does, yet here you are in my office talking to a psychiatrist."

Wale could feel frustration building up in him. Swalha was pushing him to the wall and he didn't want to budge, neither was he going to admit she made him nervous. She continued, "You don't like him that way neither do you want him to be with others in that way...How selfish of you." Wale was watching her, she was enjoying this. "Either you like him or you don't, or maybe you're confused about whether you're in love with Kind or not. "Grabbing Wale's had, Swalha dragged him to the nearest seat to lie down and he surprisingly cooperated. "How do you feel going on a date with him alone...oh wait, you've done that unconsciously many times before so I should ask instead, how does it make you feel when Kind goes on a date with someone else other than you."

"It makes me upset, not at Kind of course but I want to pulverize the guy next to him. If it was a girl I wouldn't mind though. I honestly have no problem him dating a woman." Finally, they were getting somewhere, Swalha thought. "Well, now that you know he will never date a woman, what about when you kissed Kind, or rather when he kissed you while drunk. Did it perhaps make you feel disgusted?" Wale gently shook his head. He seemed not surprised Kind had informed Swalha of their encounter. He looked at her and asked. "Did he tell you anything else?" Swalha almost surrendered to her curiosity of wanting to know more but stoped herself. "Only that you had said he had kissed you and he couldn't remember it."

A sigh of relief escaped him and Swalha thought better to save the details for later. "How did you feel when you saw him kissing his boyfriend moments ago and how does it make you feel knowing they went further than a kiss not once but multiple times. Maybe there are still at it as we speak. Do you perhaps wish he was doing that with you instead? Or maybe let us put it this way, you confess you love him and Kind tells you there is no space for you in his heart. He doesn't love you anymore. Suddenly, you've been replaced"

Swalha was shocked to have seen a frightened Wale for the first time, even if he showed it for a second or two. She thought to herself she must have gone too far with her interrogation but she had been pressed of time. Lowering herself to Wale's eye level, she patted his head gently and said. "I knew Cherry was right all along, I just couldn't agree with her given the love triangle among the three of you. You have been in love, maybe longer than you have known."

When Wale didn't say a word, still lost in thought as Swalha checked her watch. She still had five minutes before her next session begun. Calling her assistant, she confirmed her appointment was running late. What a relief. The day had started off well yet when Wale showed up, she'd thought it was going to get ruined but turns out, this was one of the best conversations she had had with him in a while. As she watched him struggling to digest their conversation, she knew she desperately wanted to find out more of what happened between Wale and Kind on the night of their drunkedness.

"What happened after Kind kissed you?" Wale remained quiet. He seemed absent minded. Walking towards him, she gently tapped his shoulder to get his attention. When he looked up at her, he asked. "I love Swalha with all my heart therefore I'd never agree to the things you've just said." He declared as he sat up. "I'll respectfully keep my distance from Kind, that is what he wants anyway. He seemed happy. I blame him for being too handsome."

Swalha couldn't help but laugh. "I'm glad you find him attractive. You are a special kind of brother though...kissing him, caressing him and all. Perhaps you've thought of having sex with him multiple times, since it bothers you he is having one with someone else." Swalha wanted to push him until he reached wall. "How about this, with no alcohol involved, whenever you get home, think of your so called brother, but in a sexual way and see if you get aroused. If I'm wrong I'll do anything you want, however if I'm right, then you have to fulfill three wishes."

"And what are these three wishes?" Wale asked suspiciously. "First, you must tell me what happened the night you both got drunk. Kind is a lightweight so I know he may not remember much but you do. Secondly, I'd like a vanilla milkshake at Yummy Yum restaurant with extra froth. As for the third wish, well let's just say I'm saving the best for last," Swalha concluded as she showed Kind the door. She was enjoying this and Wale could see that. He knew he lost the bet the moment he'd come here. She'd always seen though his mask unlike most. "I should have had sex with Kind as he wanted, instead, I jerked him off and put him to bed."

Swalha jaw dropped then she started jumping up and down, clapping her hands with excitement asking for more details. Wale ignored her then walked to the door and looked back at Swalha who seemed disappointed again to see him go.

"Good luck on your appointment and see you at Yummy Yum. I'll come pick you up."
