Wait a minute…
Isaac Moreau?
As in the antagonist Isaac Moreau?
As in the Main Villain who has a shitty life and is going to die in the end, Isaac Moreau?
I felt a splitting headache incoming as I contemplated how all this happened.
All I wanted was some ramyeon, and this is what I got?
Curse ramyeon, I'll never eat it again.
Knowing that there was no way I could keep that promise I silently lamented.
However, a more important issue rose to prominence.
What the hell was my name?
I can't remember for the life of me.
I still have my memories of my previous life but I can't for the life of me remember my name.
"Status?" I said hesitantly.
===Status===

Hmm?
Why is my Affinity in question marks?
Ignoring that painfully obvious red flag, for now, I couldn't help but do a double take.
'Wow,' I couldn't help but be surprised at how utterly terrible my stats were.
'This… it's a problem.'
I suddenly began to feel the build-up of a massive headache.
"January 1st… hmmm what day is it?" I muttered out loud.
As I reached for the sleek black smartphone on the desk, my muscles began aching like crazy.
Pushing through it, I picked up the phone and turned it on.
December 24th, 9:04 AM 2087.
"Ughhhhh…" I groaned as I saw the date.
I had one week until enrollment and the year meant I was in the same year the novel began.
This means that the beginning of the end should happen in about 3 years.
And I'm weak, this is bad…
Noticing a notification on the screen, I swiped and brought it into view.
Suddenly the image was projected in front of me like a hologram.

"Wow… It's actually not terrible" I sighed.
'I take it back please don't make it worse.' I silently prayed to whoever had done this to me.
As I was only supposed to be the main antagonist during the school era of the novel my stats weren't that high.
Wait a minute.
How am I even here?
Am I in a coma?
There's no way it's a tv show since the production value would be insane.
Hmmm.
This is all questionable.
I guess I don't have much choice but to keep going anyway since this is reality right now.
Suddenly a wave of pain washed over my back.
It was pure agony.
My body collapsed, not able to withstand the pain engulfing me.
As my thoughts began to slip away, I could only silently hold onto my sanity as the pain intensified.
Then everything went dark.
***
The first thing I heard when I woke up was the sounds of birds chirping.
Clutching my head and letting out a slight groan, I sat up.
I noticed that my muscles didn't seem to ache like before.
Standing up and searching for a bathroom in the large apartment, I eventually stumbled upon it and went in.
Walking over to the sink I couldn't help but notice myself in the mirror.
A skinny and pale boy looked back at me, his sunken cheeks and gaunt face a stark contrast to the wealth he possessed.
A pair of icy blue emotionless eyes gazed back at me.
At least my eyes had made it here.
I will never forget the look of my rotten eyes.
Parted dark brown hair lay messily on my head.
My mouth formed a thin line.
If I had known it was this bad I wouldn't have taken my time getting here.
I look like an 18-year-old who'd never seen the light of day.
Now granted it's not like I'm some old fogey but it's weird.
So I have a week to prepare before I go into the academy.
Taking off my plain white t-shirt, I prepared to take a shower before heading out.
As I turned around to turn on the water, I noticed something on my back.
It was as if something had burned wings on my back.
The scarred and mutilated burn mark was a familiar sight to me.
The scarred flesh had an odd shape to it.
It was almost as if there were wings carved onto my back.
It was a scar I had on my previous body.
How did it end up on this one?
Could it have been from the pain I felt earlier?
For now, I ignored it and went into the shower.
After I showered I entered what I assumed was my room.
Everything was plain, plain white sheets on a king-sized bed.
A desk, a cabinet, and a wardrobe.
Everything was made with dark lacquered wood of the highest quality.
Opening the wardrobe I found a single set of clothes.
A plain white t-shirt and gray pants.
Quickly changing into them, I made my way back to the living room.
Picking up the phone off the table, I began scrolling through it.
Opening a banking app that was installed on it, I checked to see how much money I had.

The weird symbol after the number stood for Elnes, which was the currency of the world.
After the First Invasion, the massive portals caused continental drift and many countries were submerged into the depths of the ocean or were simply sucked into the portals never to be seen again resulting in a catastrophic loss of life.
In turn, this caused several countries to band together to form the 'Human Alliance', also
During the first invasion when the portals opened, mysterious energy called mana permeated the air as it flowed out of the portals.
As the mana entered the air the result was that some children born after it were able to wield mythical powers.
From there these 'Awakeners' were born and managed to safeguard humanity from annihilation giving them the nickname 'Mages'.
From then the 'Human Alliance' was renamed the 'Mage's Alliance'.
Unfortunately not all those who received the gift of mana used it for good.
Many turned astray and wielded their powers against humanity, these people were called Syndicist Mages.
Syndicist Mages banded together forming a rebel group that was currently at war with the Mage's Alliance, they were in favor of pure blood control meaning that the Mages would be like gods.
As the races that invaded poured out of the portal, humanity banded together and from then a new currency was made.
1 Elnes was approximately equal to 1 Dollar because I was lazy.
I mean who the heck wants to convert money anyway.
"Hmm, it's not much but it'll do," I muttered as I pocketed my phone.
In the original novel, Isaac's parents had died when he was 13 and so he lived alone while all the money was locked up in their account.
They had considerable wealth however it was untouchable for me at the moment.
Money would be sent to his account every month in order for him to live, however, the rest of the money couldn't be touched until he graduated.
As he had no relatives he lived alone until he entered Rosaria Academy.
In short, he was a tragic villain fated for a bad ending.
Opening and locking the door with my phone I began walking in the direction I assumed the transporters were.
The city I was in was the capital of the human territory otherwise known as the 'Mage's Alliance'.
Elpis city, the name came from ancient Greek and meant hope.
As humanity banded together they created this city and named it, hope as a beacon for the future of humanity.
Elpis was easily recognizable because of the three floating islands that sat above the city.
One of the islands was Rosaria Academy.
Renowned for its high standards and ability to produce generation after generation of high-ranking Mages.
The middle island was the Mages Association headquarters.
The Mages Association was essentially the government of the human territory.
It comprised of around 50% of all the Mage's on the ranking list, and at its head sat the 10 seats.
These 10 were comprised of some of humanity's Tritium Class and Apollyon Class Mages.
This Association was formed from the need for a ruling body as the invading races attacked the humans and many Mages became Syndicists causing disorder among the public.
And the final island was the Mage's Institution.
While it was often overlooked as the other 2 islands shone brightly.
However, the Mage's Institution was the pillar of humanity.
The Mage's Institution gathered information about the monsters that formed from mana and about the invading races, they also conducted many experiments and followed the pursuit of knowledge.
Their main task was keeping up the Magic Spell database as well as researching new Magic Spells.
Every year they published their findings in their magazine.
And you could read about their findings on the internet.
They were also responsible for maintaining the Mage Registry.
The Mage Registry was a list of every Mage in the Mage's Alliance and their potential as well as their current Class Ranking.
When a human is born, they are tested for signs of Mana with a special machine and depending on the amount of mana present they are given a potential ranking.
The potential ranking is a measurement of three factors.
1. Casting Speed
2. Mana Capacity
3. Avatar Strength
Casting Speed referred to how long it took for a Mage to Cast their Spell.
Mana Capacity referred to how many Particles were present in a Mages Avatar as that was the maximum quantity of Particles they would be able to control.
Avatar Strength referred to the Mages ability to rewrite the Mana Wavelengths in the Physical Realm through the Ethereal Realm.
Meaning that if a Mages Avatar was stronger than another Mages Avatar at rewriting the Mana Wavelengths then their spell would overwhelm the other Mages Spell.
Every Mage was implanted with a chip in their brain called the 'System Interface Chip' which allowed them to see a screen called the 'Status', the chip also allows a Mage to use an 'MSM' or Magic Spell Medium which is the device Mages use to cast spells.
Also, Each Mage had an Affinity for specific Particles which meant they could only cast use Magic Types of those Particles, usually, a Mage would be born with an affinity for 1 or 2 types of Magic however there were rare cases where someone was born with an affinity for more than 2 Magic Types.
Heading in the direction of the Mages Institution, I eventually arrived at the portal station.
To be honest, I was quite cold however as I didn't have anything but a t-shirt, I could only silently freeze as I walked.
Arriving before the massive building that was dome-shaped and made out of glass, I joined the crowd of people and entered.
'Wow.' was all that went through my mind as I entered the station.
It was massive, crowds of people moved to and from work and other various places.
Security guards patrolled around the place with mana guns attached to their hips.
Marble flooring reflected the small sunlight that passed through the domed roof.
Passing through the security check, I made my way over to the portal station I needed.
"ID, please," said the receptionist.
Handing her my phone, I waited as she put it in a machine and scanned it.
Handing it back to me, she gave me a weird look clearly not understanding how someone like me could enroll at Rosaria Academy.
At least that's my guess.
Well, I don't know either lady so don't ask me.
"Destination?" she asked.
"Margrave," I answered as I tilted my head slightly.
Looking to the side for a second I shook my head slightly and returned my attention to the receptionist.
"15 ∃" she said.
I nodded my head and put my phone through another scanner.
"Have a nice day," she said with a fake smile.
Not taking up any more of her time I made my way to the platform.
