My body leaped a bit when the phone in my pocket rang. The sound of it made Hyacinth glance at me. That made my heartbeat doubled with the intensified nervousness; however, I didn't expect to see her shedding tears.
Her eyes widened when she saw me. "Terry!" full of concern, she ran to me and hugged me tightly.
That made me blink a few times, confused about what was happening.
"I t-thought... something happened to you... I almost fainted when I saw you're not in your room." her body was shaking as she sobbed. "I even imagined you were helplessly crying 'cause you can't even scream for help."
The anxiousness that made my heart pound hard slowly faded. It was replaced with a strange feeling that was triggered because of her genuine concern for me. I felt something unusual with my stomach too. It was like a cup of coffee, and someone was stirring it continuously.
I remained stiff in her arms.
