I fought back my tears. I didn't want her to blame herself even more for what happened if she sees me cry.
"Hahaha!" I just laughed like it was real. "Gab, that's not a big deal for you to cry. I'm already used to those two so I don't really mind." I pat her back to calm her down.
She stopped sobbing and looked up to me. "What are you saying?!" She punched me lightly on my arm. "It's been 6 years since you were ousted by those two. Now you've just seen them again and that's because of me." Her eyes welled up with tears again.
I cupped her face and wiped away those tears using both of my thumbs while smiling widely. "I'll be honest, I got really pissed earlier but believe me, I'm already numb to their insults since I always heard those before from them. I truly don't mind it anymore. Being affected with that would not make my stomach full or lessen my expenses, you know."
She just stared at me as she observed if I was telling the truth.
