‘Leroy you look terrible. What’s wrong with you?’ Darryl and Leroy were having their supper at a restaurant. It had been a while since they had gotten together like this.
‘I know. I have been keeping some late nights. It must be showing.’
‘Rain says you hardly spend time at home anymore. She says you are always rushing off to one meeting or the other. I hope the business is doing well. If you need any help, be it financial or otherwise, I am here for you.’
‘I am well aware, bro. Everything is under control.’
‘I want your honest opinion concerning an issue.’
Leroy sat up straighter. ‘What’s this about?’
‘So, I have been dating your sister for a few months now. Is it too early to ask her to marry me? I know she is young and I am a bit older. Am I taking away her childhood innocence? It’s just that the feelings I have for her are overwhelming and I don’t know how long I can rein it in. I don’t want to dishonour her in any way.’
