The Xanders were arguing in Althea, there was a sadness they had to resolve. A young man is desperate down there because he has just lost his part-time job which is the only foundation of his life to continue the music college he really loves. The father is also just a drunkard can't give him anything. His mother died many years ago. His name is James, 18 years old from Holland.
"So who's going down this time?" Basta asked trying to have a discussion.
"I don't know why I remember Orfe. It's not a bit like this story. Sorry, I didn't mean to remind you," Ega said at that time.
"Yes he also likes music and is hindered by family conditions just like you," said Dion joined the conversation.
"I think a musical play where he's at right now would be great," said Alvo also opinion.
"You know I'm not too confident to do it myself. There will be a lot of people watching and I'm scared," Orfe said unsure.
"You can go with Vaz. You can play music together," Basta's suggestion which certainly made Orfe hopeful.
"Please. You know I don't want to come down there on a mission?" Vaz said he was ready to refuse.
"Come on Vaz. You've been avoiding the missions given to you for a long time. This Malghavan has to keep going including us in it. Remember your main purpose here is to make other people happy. How can you do that if you stay in Malghavan?" Basta said, trying to seduce him.
"I've said it before. I will help in my way and you can also see that so far everything is still working as it should," Vaz said starting to get a little emotional.
"But for how long Vaz? You can see for yourself that there are only seven of us and we can't help but have to work hand in hand. You can see the other Xanders are having a hard time because of this," say Basta again.
"You just need to play beautiful music that will make other people happy. Just focus on that. You must understand what I mean right?" Alvo said again.
"Why do you always refuse missions down to Earth so vehemently? Is it because of me? Don't you want to go on missions with me?" Orfe asked looking sad.
"Never mind Orfe. You already know the answer right. This is not all because of you. But purely my decision!" says Vaz again.
"Then go. Don't be a coward!" Juno finally spoke.
"Me? Coward? What about you who can only hide behind canvases and brushes in secluded places where no one else can find you?" attack Vaz back.
"Hahaha. Aren't you the same? In fact you miss playing the piano. The proof is you always do it in your room," said Juno again.
"And you feel better now? Even your own brother never knew your painting. At least I've made people happy with my music," Vaz said he didn't want to lose.
"What are you guys doing? Why are you busy fighting? We're here to focus on finding Xanders who wants to come down and help," Basta started to get emotional in a high pitched voice.
Since their last fight at Juno's place in Switzerland, neither of them had spoken anymore. Basta and the others were confused about what was going on in front of them right now but of course right now that wasn't his priority.
"Never mind. So what about Orfe? You can help right? If Vaz doesn't want to help you, let Alvo accompany you," Basta finally said and Orfe couldn't help but nod even though he had to.
Vaz returned to his room. He looked at the piano in the corner of his room. The black piano that accompanied him for hundreds of years. Actually in terms of sound, the piano is not very good even though Vaz continues to care for it and maintain it sometimes even replace some of the broken parts. But the piano was his first love, the piano that made him fall in love with music, the piano his mother gave him before she died. Even if the piano broke, Vaz didn't have the slightest desire to throw it away. Vaz again misses his mother who has died because of his actions and remembers clearly how his mother always supported his love of music.
'Whatever happens to you in the future, keep on making music that inspires people.' That was the message at the time. The message he always remembered, then looked at himself now who was far the opposite. Scared, yes Vaz was afraid when he had to make music again. He was afraid that his musical playing would bring more sadness instead of happiness. Then he remembered the figure of Orfe, who knows how many times he had asked him to play music together. It never crossed his mind to refuse, but again, he was afraid to make music again. Of course, even born from different mother, he loves Orfe. But indeed not much different from Basta, he is not a person who easily shows his feelings.
Vaz lay down on his bed. Staring out the window with the curtains moving in the wind. Considering what he should do now. Will he continue to survive in Malghavan or will he come down to Earth and show his abilities again to the world?
There was a knock on the door, Vaz turned and Basta was already standing there with his handsome face.
"What do you want to ask?" asked Vaz nonchalantly.
"You had a fight with Juno?" Basta asked approaching.
"Yeah, just a little disagreement. Isn't that what happens between us. Then he will definitely talk to me again," says Vaz again.
"Yeah fine if that's the case. But that's not really why I came," Basta said again already sitting on the edge of the bed.
"What? You want to persuade me again?" Vaz had memorized his best friend's temper.
"Yeah I'll never be able to persuade you Vaz. It's all up to you. I just wanted to say, you're a good friend and I miss seeing you whole with your piano. And I'm sure it's not just me but the rest of Xanders too. You can even see for yourself how Juno tried to persuade you his way. And don't forget Orfe who really wants to play music with you. Most importantly, you miss your old self Vaz," said Basta again who chose to leave immediately from Vaz's room.
Vaz thought back to the word 'intact' that Basta had said. In fact, Vaz did feel it when he stood with his piano. Feeling complete and sufficient. A burst of self-confidence and an abundance of pride. But it had been years since he had lost that feeling. The decision was made, Vaz got up and headed towards Althea. But the room was empty and only Dion and Ega were left who made sure that Alvo and Orfe left safely. They stared at each other for a few seconds.
"They just left Vaz," said Ega who seemed to understand the purpose of Vaz's presence there.
