Earth In 2025, technology has become more sophisticated although of course economic inequality is still visible in all corners. Wealth is only owned by those in power. Meanwhile, those who are unable to compete with the harshness of the world still have to live in misery. Crime also increased sharply because they wanted to rebel against injustice. Crime is increasing rapidly because they have no other way to survive. In fact, human problems are recurring things and will continue to exist until the end of time. The earth is getting old but not with the behavior of human in it.
That afternoon, Basta descends to Earth. He wanted to just walk around in a small country in Asean, Malaysia. Basta was in one of the phenomenal buildings in the Country, the Petronas Twin Towers. The Xanders speak all languages on earth so wherever they are they can easily communicate with the humans who are there. But wherever they are, all eyes must look at them strangely, whether because of their handsomeness or unusual physique or indeed because they are indeed a demigod for those who know. They are not accepted by the humans of the earth because of their privileges but also by the gods because of their imperfection.
Basta was just watching in the distance. Noticed the large number of people who were congregating in this area. Some are cool just chatting with family, friends, or partners. Lots of kids running here and there. Some street artists who show their best appearance are also some sellers who actively offer their goods. Until his eyes fell on a woman who shone among the others. A woman wearing a white knee-length dress is selling her flowers in a small tent with a beautiful smile.
Basta wanted to walk closer but suddenly drove his thoughts far away. The Xanders have their rules, so that their power does not disappear, they must not think bad, dirty, evil or any other form of negative thoughts. Therefore, one of the greatest rules for the Xanders was women. Basta became afraid that the woman would affect him. Then his eyes fell on the burger shop which was right next to the mysterious woman's flower shop. Basta chose to buy one.
Waiting for his order to be made, Basta's eyes often turned to the woman but for some reason he didn't notice that he was constantly watching. It was the burger seller who realized it and smiled at Basta. A middle-aged women who looks gentle and friendly wears a headscarf on her head.
"What's wrong? You keep watching her," she said still with the spatula in her hand.
"Ah, hahahaha. No no. I-I just," Basta refused softly.
"There's no need to dodge. Those eyes of yours have been staring at her ever since. You've been the umpteenth guy who's come to buy my burger just to stare at her. But most of them will leave as soon as they notice," said the women who sells burgers.
"Noticed what?" Basta was confused too.
The women just smiled and made Basta stare more closely. "Is she blind?"
"As you can see," said the women kindly.
It wasn't long before Basta's order arrived and he paid for it. Finally decided to go to the flower woman's tent to make sure. Sure enough, the woman was not aware of his presence and was still busy peddling his flowers.
"Hello," said Basta.
"Oh hello. Can I help you? Would you like some flowers?" the voice is so friendly.
"Ah yes. I'm looking for red roses. Give me ten stalks okay," Basta said.
"Red roses? Wow, for someone special apparently," the woman said with a smile. Her hand moved flexibly, slightly feeling the red roses and took them ten stalks.
"No. Ah yes I mean yes. I bought it for someone special," close Basta cursed his own stupidity.
"Well, that someone must be very lucky," said the woman still trying to cut the stem.
"Yeah. Hm, do you always sell here? Or do you have another place?" of course that's just a simple question.
"Me? Only here every evening except Monday," she said kindly this time wrapping the roses carefully.
"Oh I see. Actually I often need some flowers and I see the flowers in your shop are fresh and smell good. Can I ask for a business card or something?" Basta's question is certainly a bit of a lie.
"Who are you?" asked the woman again suddenly.
"Oh my gosh, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Basta and I hm… running a magic shop around here. I need flowers for some tricks and I need fresh ones of course," Basta said somehow he had to lie to the others.
"I see. I'm Aura and this is my business card. You can call me if you need flowers. I can also drop them off if you want," with a little effort the woman named Aura handed over her business card.
After paying and shaking hands, Basta immediately stepped aside and blamed himself for suddenly being clumsy in front of Aura. A sweet, tan-skinned girl with straight black hair on her back. Her face is slightly round and her cheeks are chubby. The appearance is simple with all small facial features. He don't know why it's so adorable in his eyes.
"Jeez what are you thinking Basta? You approached a woman even bought flowers? For what? What would the other Xanders think if they found out about this?" Basta came to his senses as he stared at the bouquet of flowers in his hand. Staring at a couple in their twilight years sitting on a park bench. Immediately approached them and asked the husband to give his wife his flowers. Again, they seemed happy just because of a bouquet of roses. Basta immediately left from there.
Sit back where he first sat. Still occasionally observing Aura taking turns with the business card in her hand. Still confused between having to throw away or even keep the number, until finally Basta did both, discarding after saving the number. An excellent solution. For some reason Basta felt that there was something different about Aura. That friendly smile seemed to heal a wound. Those sweet words seemed to hide tears.
Basta recalled the burger he had bought earlier and ate it out of hunger. Of course the Xanders ate like normal humans. Even if they don't get it all that hard. All natural products grow without having to be cared for. The Xanders just need to pick and use it. Most of them are fruits and vegetables. Fish are also easily available throughout the waters of Malghavan City. As for getting money, to be honest they hardly needed it because the gods had already provided enough of course because of their work as Xanders. Their work of spreading happiness to humans was already the highest paid in the lives of the Xanders.
Basta's cell phone rings, from Vaz who is really close to him, asking where he is. Not long of course thanks to Orion, Vaz came over to him.
"What brought you down to earth Vaz?" Basta asked.
"I just miss her," says Vaz full of mystery.
