Chereads / Secret of the Pariah Hytac / Chapter 18 - Confusion

Chapter 18 - Confusion

Chapter 18

Ayn's urgent voice pierced through the chilly air, "Go get Mira there or else she will die." Laine, Antonette, and Thea sprang into action, their eyes fixed on Fukyama as they tried to contain him and rescue Mira. Meanwhile, Veronica, Diana, Dianne, Lily, Pia, and Thea's Clone strategized on how to extract Insi from the scene. Augustus' group stood frozen, unable to move closer as they were within Fukyama's range.

As they moved slowly, a voice spoke, "He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man..." Deimytr's words hung in the air, the falling snow causing a near whiteout. Suddenly, another voice emerged, "Let me tell you the truth. My magic has the power to transfer power. One person cultivates the power and passes it on to another who also cultivates it and passes it on. It's the crystallization of power that weaves together the voices of those with a courageous heart and a desire to help. And now, it's your turn. You have inherited the magic power, and one day you'll have to fight against this great evil. Now, it's your turn."

Deimytr silently cast his spell, "Rune of Snow: Snow Domain," and the area transformed into a cold and dangerous place, covered in a blanket of snow. The team pushed through the harsh elements, their hearts racing with anticipation of what was to come.

Fukyama's eyes suddenly been able to look at the area as he was finding the source of the spell who has been cast in the area where he was.

Thea and Antonette began to lose their nerves as both of them can't take the sudden change of weather that they are in, which results into loosing Fukyama's presence within the both of them.

In the Far East, a group of unknown creatures floated in the sky, watching the events unfold on the Island of Adeady. They had lived in isolation for centuries, observing mortals from a distance, but now, they had decided to intervene. The creatures, led by a being with golden wings and piercing blue eyes, raised its hand, and a brilliant light began to form.

The light grew brighter and brighter, engulfing the entire island in a blinding glow. The fighters on the island shielded their eyes, unable to see what was happening. When the light dissipated, they saw that something miraculous had occurred. The Hytacs and the Zeabolis, who had been locked in battle moments ago, decided to cease fighting and instead be wary of their surroundings, searching for the source of the light.

The creatures from the sky had somehow managed to bring the warring factions together, showing them that they were not enough to face each other and that they should unite against a greater threat. The villagers of the island, who had been watching the sky, were awestruck by the sight.

As the dust settled, the creatures from the sky vanished without a trace, undetected by both the Hytacs and the Zeabolis. High-Captain Andy fell to the ground, tears streaming down his face as he saw what he thought were angels in the sky during the light.

Before the unknown creatures vanished, the one with golden wings and piercing blue eyes spoke with a powerful yet soothing voice. "We have been watching from afar, and we have seen no excitement," it said. "We have observed the struggles of humans and the challenges they face. Even the Zeabolis seemed to be playing with the humans instead of fighting them seriously. We intervened in this battle not to pick sides, but to show them that they are not capable of fighting each other with just their powers."

Another unknown creature, holding a hammer and with golden wings, chimed in, "Why don't we charge and join the battle? Since these two races are not qualified or not in our level."

The other creature responded, "Do you not remember that those humans use magic and some even possess god-like powers or blessings? We must remain neutral and observe from afar for now."

Meanwhile, in the quarters of Captain Wogwen and in the area of Captain Angela, a deafening screech pierced through the air. Captain Wogwen listened intently, knowing that danger was lurking nearby. Meanwhile, in the area of Captain Angela, the same screech was heard, signaling the arrival of a new and ominous threat.

As Stygian and Fukyama wondered what was happening on the island, Captain Angela's voice cut through the tension. "The battle is far from over," she said. "There is a great evil that threatens our island, and we must work together to overcome it. But be warned, the enemy is powerful and cunning. They will stop at nothing to achieve their goal."

Fukyama and Stygian disappeared into the shadows, leaving the Hytacs to face the unknown threat alone. The Hytacs nodded in agreement, their determination fueled by the words of their captain. They knew that the road ahead would be treacherous, but they were prepared to face any challenge that came their way.

But not all Hytacs were as brave as the others. In the team of Augustus, when the sky was ablaze with an intense light, darker than any star in the night sky, it was a terrifying sight. People all over the island saw what happened, but for Whystry and Deimytr, it was too much to bear.

Their bodies froze in fear, their eyes wide and unblinking as they stared up at the sky. They felt as though they had lost control over their limbs, unable to move or escape the terror that consumed them. The light was consuming them, eating away at their very soul, and they knew that they were trapped.

As the light grew brighter, their fear intensified, and they could feel their nerves shivering with terror. The darkness that followed was even more terrifying, and they knew that the light would return, haunting their every waking moment.

The experience was a turning point for Whystry and Deimytr, but not in the way they had hoped. Instead of overcoming their fear, it had consumed them whole, leaving them forever changed. They were now prisoners to their own terror, unable to face the challenges of the future.

From that day forward, they were held back by their fears, defeated by the darkness that had taken hold. The light had won, and they knew that they would never truly be free from its grip.

The team of Captain Angela as well as Ritmo and Augustus were shocked on what they saw on Deimytr and Whystry. They thought the two of them were far stronger and have a strong will since both of them are the survivor of the happenings before in the Island of Adeady.

Captain Angela cast a spell to Deimytr and Whystry, and they both suddenly lost consciousness and fell to the ground. The Hytacs gathered around them, worried about their well-being. Captain Angela checked their pulses and breathed a sigh of relief. They were alive, but their minds were in a state of confusion.

After a while, the two of them woke up in the base of the Island of Adeady, surrounded by unfamiliar faces. They couldn't remember the happenings that occurred before they lost consciousness. All they could recall was the intense light that had consumed them, and the paralyzing fear that had followed.

As they looked around the base, they saw the other members of the Hytacs. They tried to remember their names, but their minds were blank. They couldn't recall anything about themselves, except for their names and the fact that they were part of the Hytacs.

Captain Angela approached them, concern etched on her face. "Are you both feeling alright?" she asked.

Deimytr and Whystry looked at each other, then back at the Captain. "We can't remember anything," Deimytr said.

Captain Angela frowned. "It seems like the light had affected your memories," she said. "Don't worry, we will do everything we can to help you regain your memories."

From that day on, Deimytr and Whystry worked with the Hytacs to protect the island. Although they couldn't recall their past, they found comfort in the presence of the Hytacs in the base of Adeady. They began to roam the base and understand the situation and know how the things worked on the island and rules in the island.

Despite not being able to remember their past, they knew that their future was bright. They were part of an organization who would always be there for them, no matter what. And they were determined to do their best to protect the island and its people, and to make their memories regain.

As Deimytr and Whystry walked down the hallway, they noticed Ritmo and Augustus waiting for them. Augustus spoke up, "Hey, you two, we need to talk. Follow us." Without hesitation, Deimytr and Whystry followed the two men.

As they walked, they were greeted by High-Captain Andy. "Welcome back, Deimytr and Whystry. How are you feeling?" he asked with concern. The two of them exchanged a strange look before nodding in response.

"Whystry here has a question. Do we know all of you here?" Deimytr spoke up, breaking the awkward silence. High-Captain Andy smiled and replied, "Yes, the two of you are members of my team."

Augustus then took over the conversation, explaining what happened during the battle against Fukyama with Captain Angela and her team. "Suddenly, a bright light appeared in the sky, and the two of you started acting differently. You screamed and shivered uncontrollably until Captain Angela cast a spell on you, and you lost consciousness."

Deimytr and Whystry listened to the story with a mix of confusion and fear. Meanwhile, Florance and Hyacinth began to suspect the two of them since they were the only ones who suffered from the light in the sky.

Deimytr and Whystry couldn't believe what they were hearing. They had no memory of the incident and didn't know how to respond. It was like a nightmare they couldn't escape from. They knew they needed to figure out what happened to them and how to prevent it from happening again.
