Chapter 5 - For my Book

"Milady, the merchant is here"

I closed the Book of Curses that I'm currently reading and looked at the maid before me. I stood up and silently walk my way to the parlor to meet the guest.

It's been five years since I've become Arnold's loyal customer, Arnold is one of the famous merchant out there that deals with the aristocrats in the kingdom. Whether it's the delivery of foreign products or rare raw materials he can easily get a hold of them and sell it to the Kingdom.

Ever since my dream of writing a story book has been decided, I've been buying empty books, ink, and papers from him using my own allowance.

Currently I own 3580 books that I bought from him which costs 20 gold coins each or even more and they are all stored in one of my storage rooms.

Though I've only used five books for now since I've only written up to chapter 99 of Harodin's story. Each Book mostly consists of 20 chapters while each chapters consist of 25 pages each, nothing more and nothing less... all in all for a total of 500 pages per book.

I've been very strict when it comes to uniformity so I would always make sure that each book will be the same in shape sizes, number of pages, and look. The only thing to differentiate the books are the titles and story content.

Arnold had fulfilled that wish of mine so I'm also doing my part by making sure that each chapter will be exactly 25 pages and the book will consist of 20 chapters in total

My only goal in life was to show the forgotten story of our ancestors to the rest of the world. Since history are can be altered by the future generations, it is really frustrating when what's written in the books for today was different to what I've read from the Book of Life.

And I want to make sure that throughout my existence in this world, all unique stories from the past will enlighten everyone in the world.

Harodin was one of those people, even though he created three unique magic spells he was not known to the world because he died before showing his magic to others. Thanks to his death, the three magic spells he created was buried through history and it will probably take centuries for another person to recreate it and it's not even Harodin's name that will be known but this unknown person.

"It's a pleasure to always meet the Second lady of the Azraels" Arnold bow to me as he packed his things.

I escort him out of the mansion along with the servants and after he's gone the servants immediately moved the things I bought from the merchant and stored them to my storage. It'll take another two months for me to meet the merchant again so I made sure to buy everything that he brought before seeing him off.

Although I never showed it on my face, I'm actually really happy for the great haul that I got for today, and as expected the goods are highly graded.

Also it is today that my sister left for the party with the other ladies near her age. The party was themed to wear a blue dress when attending that's why Amelia and mother bought two blue dresses for the both of us, but of course I refused to go.

I also heard that Flourel will be going to be adopted into a noble family soon. I read in the book of life that two families of Marquesses are competing to get her and the King will make the final decision for it.

I'll probably watch and wait for now, unless my sister get hurt because of that new Saintess, I will not do anything and simply watch from the sidelines.

Anyways enough of that, I've mostly memorized all the curses in the Book of Curses and already knew what they can do. There's actually a lot of them but the majority of them are kind of harmless, of course there's also curses that can cause death but it's not like I'm going to use it.

I don't have any classes today so I'm merely spending my time relaxing and reading the book of life and curses. Whenever I'm not writing the novel, I would mostly spend my time reading and looking for more potential stories that I can work on in the future. So far I was only intrigued with 28 stories.

The first is Harodin of course, the second is Estella, the third is the Duke Remil, while fourth is The Hero. Those four are on the top of my list for now because two of them was not even known while the other two were misunderstood as the villains of the world.

I was intrigued with Duke Remil because we have the same name but to think his story could probably change the history for good, is something I'm looking forward into.

I sighed as I laid down on the bed and looked at the ceiling, I just realized that for the whole ten years of my life I've only been in this mansion specifically my room, I've only been outside six times because of a family outing but when I think about it, I'm basically a recluse.

Not like it's a bad thing and it's actually natural for noble ladies to be completely sheltered like a princess in their territory, it's just that compared to them I'm probably the worst.

A right, now that I think about it, how do I make sure that many people can read my books? Books can cost 20 gold or more and for sure only the aristocrats and the wealthy merchants can have the privilege to buy my book.

The number of aristocrats in the Kingdom can be counted up to 700 people while the number of citizens are up to 800,000.

I never thought about that... And it's not like I can produce a hundred copies of books at once which is basically the standard number of books that can be produced by hand.

Should I use my Book of Spells for this?

....

I then summoned the Book of Spells and took a piece of paper and a pen to write down my ideas. It would be good if I can easily duplicate the book.

It took me a whole day to make my own spell, and throughout the process I realized that I can write down anything in the book of Spells and it decides whether the Spell is good or not.

I need to be creative for conditions and the limit of the spell and make sure that it will be perfect enough that the book accepts it. If some words I've written are not accepted the book will immediately erase it from the page.

Finally the first spell I created was the Duplication Spell and I can duplicate things once a year. Because I wanted a complete copy of things the book needs a very hard condition such as being able to only copy once a year. After one use I need to wait for 367 days before I can use it again.

And also if a person uses the spell without the help of the Spell book they would at least need an over 1000 mana to activate it, if not that then a magic circle needs to be drawn and depending on the size of the circle it can decrease the usage of mana at the minimum number of 700.

The average number of mana for a knight is 200, for the common folks it will be 50. Basically it is impossible unless you're a great mage that can rival the Progenitors.

As a witch I can activate my magic through my books but without them I'm actually mana less and could not use the existing magic of the world. The good thing is that my book doesn't really need any mana to activate the spells, what it needs is patience to wait for the allotted time to become zero before activating a spell again.

Well that's 1/100 Spells that I own right now and it's probably better to rethink again and only make spells that will be helpful to me.
