A year has passed since then and I've already written up to 122 chapters for Harodin's story. I'm already 11 years old and has been learning how to paint and draw with the help of my tutor Leona for six years now.
And I think that it's time to sketch the drawings or storyboard for Harodin's story book. Nothing really changed since Flourel appeared in the Aristocratic Society and I'm not that much interested in knowing how she's faring as the adopted daughter of Velmour.
I do know that she started attending the parties for the aristocratic children two months after being adopted by the Marquess Velmour. Her presence is not problematic for my sister and actually because of her my sister has been the happiest person nowadays so I don't really think that Flourel will be a thorn for my sister.
There's one thing that changed though and that is my sister Amelia became the future Countess of the Azrael. I told my parents that I'm not interested in becoming a potential successor to the family so my sister was immediately picked and has been learning under father's guidance.
The whole kingdom has already suspected that my sister could not heal any wounds or injuries so even though she is also a child of God, she will not act the role of the Saintess in the Kingdom. Flourel has taken that job and apparently she's also helping the church and dutifully healing the common people across the Kingdom.
There's nothing much that I could say about myself since I've been the same for the past year like attending my art classes and other important subjects, or writing down Harodin's novel and reading the Book of Life to pass time.
Of course I did not do any activities outside of the mansion and simply lived my life in seclusion. One thing that's probably notable about me right now is that my body has matured a little.
Compared to my peers who still have the body of a baby in their chest area, mine is little bigger that it's noticeable with my dress on. Thanks to this mother and father became more thankful that I'm not interested in meeting people or going outside of the mansion at all or else many people might assume that I'm 14 years old.
I also grew two inches taller than Amelia as well that she's been pouting whenever she meets me in the hallway because she doesn't want to admit that I'm looking like the older sister between us instead of her.
It is assumed that I'll continuously grow as time goes on so my parents have been buying my clothes carefully in case that I'll immediately grow on them without having a chance to wear them.
-------------------------------------------------
Today is the day that I'm starting to sketch the first book of Harodin and I guess it's time that I tell the short summary of Harodin's life.
Harodin is a mage who died at the age of 78, 20 years ago. Harodin came from a farmer's family and grew up in a village that is not far away from the Acrevan Kingdom.
He lead a peaceful and happy life for nine years but because of the ongoing attack of the monsters 89 years ago, Harodin became an orphan overnight.
He is one of the people who survived the attack of the monsters and managed to ran away in the town located in the Acrevan Kingdom. Ever since then Harodin has been living in the slums and doing whatever he can to survive, whether it is begging, stealing, or taking jobs that he can easily fulfill even if he only receives a penny.
Although it was a harsh life, Harodin still manage to live a much better compared to other kids who lives in the slums like him, but another event happened that change his life once again after four years of living in the slums.
Harodin who's only 13 accidentally got involved with a gang in the area who does nothing but terrorize people and for a year he was treated as a slave by them and got beaten up when he does things wrongly.
He was forced to terrorize people because of the gang and during the life and death situations that he had from the fights had led him to realize that he has mana.
Their gang became known in the area because of their notoriety that the knights has to make their move and capture them. Along with the others, Harodin became a criminal and was imprisoned for ten years.
Even though it's unfortunate that he's now become a criminal, he is more than happy that he's finally free from doing bad things that is against his will. And although the prison cells are suffocating he was able to have a place to secretly learn more about his mana.
He remembered the knights that captured their gang by using magic and using that memory Harodin painstakingly tried to understand make magic, through his ten years of effort he was able to use magic without any teachers or books that could teach him.
And when ten years have passed there was a time when the first prince of Acrevan was born in the Kingdom and to celebrate it the royalty announced that some prisoners who was imprisoned due to a harmless crime will be pardoned and freed.
Harodin who was captured because he was part of the gang was one of the people who gained the privilege of being freed and one of the knight officers who know him since he was captured knew that he is not a bad person, and that knight offered Harodin a place to stay and a new name.
Because of the old knight, Harodin was able to live a normal life for a second time and his criminal background was erased from his name. Harodin was able to work a normal job for a while and when his ability to use magic was discovered by the old knight, he was given the chance to learn to become a knight or a magician by the old knight.
Harodin chose to become a magician and was sent to the tower with the help of the old knight's connections and ever since then Harodin has been living and working in the tower for five years. At that point he is already 29 years old.
He sent letters once in a while to the old knight and he became heartbroken when he learned that the old knight died from the battle with a bandit group.
Because Harodin did not learn any magic in from an academy, he was treated a little bit harsher than the others and the death of the old knight has made him feel more miserable while living in the tower for another two years.
Although he also contributed in the production and creation of many magic tools, scrolls, and spells his name was never known to the Kingdom at all and when his record as a criminal was revealed to the members of the tower, he was immediately kicked out of the place and was stripped of his title as a magician.
The house that the old knight has given to Harodin's became his only comfort after the continuous misfortunes that he faced. Harodin who lived in the old knight's house while reminiscing his memories with him.
He remembered the wish of the old man that Harodin should live more freely after his experience of being imprisoned for ten years,. It made Harodin realize that his secluded life in the tower is not that different in his life of being imprisoned.
Because of this realization Harodin decided that it would be better if he left the Acrevan kingdom and travel the world as a free man. He will not waste his time for a third time by being stuck in the same place for a long time.
Harodin journeyed everywhere his feet leads him to. He visited the wasted village that he was born in and made a tombstone for his parents and the old knight. Then he met many people and worked alongside likable people to hunt monsters once in a while.
Throughout his journey he created three new magic, one a magic that can show the memories of nonliving things, a shadow magic that can make the shadows mimic the the looks of people it meets, and last is the magic that can slow the time of the area that it was casted in.
He helped many people but never said his name to them, he was a great mage who died alone after meeting a sleeping dragon in a cave. The books where his magic was written into was also burned alongside him that's why, his magic was completely buried and his existence was erased as if he did not exist to begin with.
