Chapter 56 - Chapter 56

Rias and the others were going to be staying here in the Underworld for the next couple of days so they could either train or likewise just spend time with the Gremory parents that honestly cared for the peerage members like their own children.

I popped over back to Earth and picked up Ei, so I would have Ei and Arcueid with me when Sirzechs took me to meet the Greek faction.

In the meantime, as Sirzechs and the other devil leaders were setting up details for the faction meeting in the neutral ground of the Egyptian's territory I was likewise relaxing and getting to know the other Gremory family members better than just during a random meeting where important stuff was being discussed.

"Millicas, the secret to getting the cookie dough out of the whisk is by using your fingers to pinch the blades of the dull blades and gently slide it down so you can get all the cookie dough," I said giving the child some sage advice as my nephew and I were making some triple chocolate chip cookies.

Being part of a stupidly rich family was teaching me new things in my old life, I never made triple chocolate cookies as it required three different sources of chocolate and here we were using normal chocolate chip and after we baked it for a while we added M&M's and Reese's Pieces to make the most delectable cookies ever.

"Couldn't we use pretzel M&M's to make it even better Jake?" Milicas earnestly answered and I froze at the delightful thought of the slightly too-rich cookies getting a bit of the salty flavor of the pretzel-themed candies, I then ruffled the kid's crimson hair with an indulgent look making him snort and push my hand away.

Grayfia and Venelana who were sitting across from us on some barstools as me and Milicas worked to make some snacks were cooing and taking pictures of us and just truly looking to be enjoying the bit of bonding we were having. "So what are you going to do when you go to the Greek faction?" Milicas asked and I shrugged as I helped the kid put an oversized clip on the large bag of sugar and flour as we started putting things away from our cooking adventure.

"Oh Milicas, he doesn't know as Sirzechs the fool, just dropped it into his lap... Probably is he to be used as some kind of message about how strong our new generation of devils is becoming with the likes of Jake and Sairaorg coming into their own." Venelana spoke while snorting at how Sirzechs was going to be taking me and my creations to Egypt in a matter of hours.

"Grayfia will you also be coming along?" I asked and the silver-haired maid gracefully nodded with Milicas pouting and muttering about how he wanted to come as well but Grayfia harshly but lovingly said that it was too dangerous for him to go.

"But Jake can go!" Milicas argued and Venelana snorted.

"That's correct but Jake is already known as the boogeyman who can make anyone who touches him into a monster and I would give up half the Gremory fortune to see Zeus genderbent and treated how he so deserves," Venelana said harshly before taking a breath and explaining to Milicas that until he got old enough to have a peerage and defend himself a bit that he as per usual needed to stay out of his father's business.

"Kid, when you get your peerage, I will make you some badass peerage members if you want." I offered with Milicas grinning in excitement and I coughed as my nephew rammed into my side with a rib-popping hug before he ran off to probably tell Sirzechs about my offer.

At the sight of her son running off at full speed, Grayfia chuckled and walked over to help me open up the oven as it dinged with the cookies being done. "You know, Sirzechs is going to be annoyed with how my Milicas is going to be pestering him even more for his peerage pieces Jake," Grayfia said smiling as she and Venelana crowded around to taste the cookies after using a spell to cool them down a bit.

I could only wryly smile at Grayfia's warning but no other words were spoken for a minute as we enjoyed the cookies before Venelana gave me a side hug with her very voluptuous chest pushing against my side as she spoke softly. "Thank you for being so open to spending time with my grandson and welcome to the family Jake." Then Venelana's arms tightened with a bit of supernatural strength before she left the hug and sashayed out of the kitchen while calling backward to me and Grayfia. "I am going to make sure Milicas doesn't bug Sirzechs into hiding away in his man cave, Grayfia make sure to leave some of the cleanings to the maids so they don't revolt again." Venelana joked as she left but Grayfia just sniffed in disdain.

"Soooo... You made the maids revolt?" I asked jokingly and she nodded if anything looking proud as she helped me put the cookies away in some Tupperware.

"Indeed, when I joined the Gremory family I attempted to maintain the same workload I had while working in the name of the Lucifuge clan and the Gremory maids couldn't match my efforts... So I had to take it easier on them for being the lesser maids." She said with a bit of sadness.

"Huh, I made a maid sorta, do you think you could take some time to train her to match your level of being a maid?" I asked kinda jokingly but really not as having Sakuya being trained by Grayfia... Yeah, that was an amazing idea.

Grayfia raised an eyebrow before an introspective look crossed her eyes and she finally nodded before speaking imperiously. "Very well I shall inspect your creation Sakuya to see her level of dedication and whether I can make something great out of her." She said as we left the kitchen towards Sirzechs office to hopefully leave for this meeting with the Greek faction.

While we made it across the massive sprawling mansion I asked Grayfia a question I probably should have already done so. "So any hints or massive land mines I should avoid while talking with the Greeks?" I asked and Grayfia's face went cold.

She visibly chewed on her lip for a moment before sighing and she took my arm and looked me in the eyes so my own were locked onto her crimson ones. "Jake, do not make a deal or promise with the Greeks as they love to force others to agree and abide by such promises and treaties, but they will not at all follow such promises... They only respect a blade that is held to their throat and that's why Milicas isn't going there at all whereas we would sometimes bring him to see the Norse or Youkai faction's during festivals." Grayfia warned me and I nodded in understanding with that knowledge being kept in my mind.

Then Grayfia led me into a meeting room and I saw Sirzechs and Serafall Leviathan locked into a conversation while my creation Ei was sitting behind Sirzechs beside his knight Okita Souji.

Granted I was taking both Ei, and Arcueid with me, but Arc was always sleeping in my shadow so she was as close to my soul as possible while also protecting me from anything and anyone that may attempt to blindside me.
