Chapter 44 - Chapter 44

As time quickly resumed with Rias and Akeno coming back to their senses, they both smiled wryly when they saw how the box had shifted across the room in the blink of an eye.

"Yes, well that box holds my bishop... He has the sacred gear Forbidden Balor's View, and he thus typically stays sealed in his bedroom so any episodes he has with his sacred gear doesn't affect the students on campus." Rias explained wryly as the box shook in place at Rias acknowledging its existence.

"Soooo don't light the teleporting box on fire?" I asked jokingly and Akeno giggled sadistically as a high-pitched squeal of fright came from the box.

Rias just rolled her eyes before an interesting look came to her eyes as she whipped out her phone frantically and then instantly brought up a picture and shoved it in my face. "Well! How well could you make a Rider Medusa from FGO! She would be a perfect knight for me!" Rias exclaimed already in weeb land but I honestly couldn't really blame her.

"Uh, the whole divinity bit is... Well, I haven't scanned a truly divine being nor have I gotten any sample of one." I said before continuing. "I can certainly make someone look like her and give her great physical capabilities or hell I could literally make her in her Gorgon form but the whole petrification magic isn't in my repertoire." I finished and Rias hummed in thought, and I noticed her eye snapping to me from me to Gaspar.

"Gaspar dear please come out of the box we need to talk about your Sacred Gear." She called out firmly and hearing the strength in her king's voice Gaspar slowly moved his box off the ground so he could crawl out of it.

And yup Gaspar was still a trap vampire wearing women's clothes in this world. Gaspar was an androgynous male with shoulder-length soft blond-whitish hair to go with his striking blood-red eyes and just generally a slight and effeminate frame.

"Gaspar after five years have you made progress with your sacred gear you think," Rias asked him as he carefully sat down while being hunched over to avoid eye contact with his king despite her being a complete sweetheart. But that was the problem with Rias's peerage, she loved and babied them too much.

"No... I don't think so." He spoke shaking his head lightly while looking morosely at the ground still making me even feel like crap looking at the little dude being so sad.

Rias took a deep breath as she clapped her hands and spoke. "Akeno unfurl your wings for me." Akeno reflexively obeyed her king with her pure devil wings flapping outwards drawing Gaspar's attention. "See Gaspar, Jake can remove bloodlines and even move around Sacred Gear's without issue or even harming the host really. Gaspar, I want to know your opinion on trading your sacred gear for one of Jake's creations that you have seen around the club building so you can properly live your life and even join my peerage on outings as a proud member of our family." Rias softly asked.

Gaspar bit his lip as he thought before sighing as he looked at me. "The person you would be giving it to. Will they be able to control it?" He asked weakly and I nodded as with my flesh crafting powers combined with the Sephiroth Grail I was convinced I could force his Forbidden Balor View Sacred Gear that was permanently in its Balance Breaker state into something beyond useful.

"Yes, I am positive," I responded and he sighed before a soft smile crossed his face as he shrugged.

"Honestly getting rid of it would probably be for the best. I cannot control it; I don't want to drink blood to strengthen myself as a Dhampir. As I don't like Vampires I doubt I will get control over it in the next decade or so with how little progress I made in the last half decade so maybe it's like a chance to start a new chapter in my life without it weighing me down." Gaspar mused aloud before he looked to Rias.

"You aren't going to... You know throw me away if I don't have it anymore, are you?" He asked softly and I shuddered as something so cute and adorable shouldn't have been such a damn convincing trap!

Rias stood up and, in an instant, pulled Gaspar into a back-breaking hug against her. And I literally could hear the poor half dhampir's back popping as air escaped from his mouth in a wheezing hiss as his arms waved franticly to escape even using his sacred gear to stop time, but Rias's hug was inescapable.

"Gaspar, I would never ever abandon any of my peerage members. Akeno had Jake remove her Fallen Angel heritage and I love her exactly the same as when she didn't have it!" Rias firmly told Gaspar as she pushed him away from the hug so she could grab his cheeks like a disobedient child that needed to be firmly told a life lesson. "So don't think for a damn second I will abandon you alright! You will always be the cute little Dhampir that would haunt the Gremory wardrobes and closets. And even end up always scaring the maids silly!" Rias said fiercely as she laid down the reality that was the Gremory obsession with family.

Gaspar nodded silently and I saw a couple tears go down his cheek as he gave Rias a quick hug before he took a deep breath and moved to sit in a chair in front of where I was standing. "Ok, Jake I am ready!" He said strongly and I blinked as I realized a pressing issue.

"Uh that's nice and all, but we are kind of getting ahead of the horse with the cart. We haven't even gotten that stray devil we were going to deal with and is going to be turned into Rias's new rook with Gaspar's sacred gear." I said wryly as even if I removed his gear, I wasn't going to run around town with Forbidden Balor View with the actual god Balor stuffed inside the gear in the middle of the city. That's just asking for Balor to wake up, take over the gear, or worse any number of organizations to come running at sensing the screaming Sacred Gear signature.

To say the least, I ruined the moment, and his upheaval of emotions triggered the time to stop again and I got to watch the trap dive face-first into his large box.
