Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 Training session

The training started off with a bang. No seriously, Rias told us to immediately to get to beating each other silly in the name of training while she and Akeno went to train their magical skills in high-intensity draining exercises just pouring their various magical abilities into the ground to train the density and depths of their mana pool.

While Ei and Artoria trained with Kiba in swordsmanship and just generally weapon handling I got saddled with Koneko and had quickly proven my mettle against the petite cat girl as she simply couldn't get past my cheat unicorn abilities.

I was able to heal myself and drain the bruiser trying to pummel me by using the seasonal spring and Autumn magical fields I could put out using my unicorn heritage and there was nothing more demoralizing than trying to fight an opponent that only got stronger as you got weaker as my Autumn withering effect was both weaker and stronger in the long run than even Divine Dividing.

Instead of cutting someone's power from around a hundred to fifty and then twenty-five, like Divine Dividing did, and possibly harming the wielder by taking in too much power at once. My Autum Withering however took a single base percent of their life force every ten or so seconds that wouldn't cause me any issues even if I was surrounded by a hoard of enemies.

While I could use the spring enrichment aura to expel the excess lifeforce in healing allies or to temporarily strengthen myself.

I mean sure Koneko had more experience in actual fist fighting but she didn't have experience in the arm she grabbed and attempted to slam me onto the ground with, just morphing into a razor-sharp gauntlet of keratin that could cut through her Rook-boosted durability due to my body being boosted by the Boosted Gear on my right arm.

With the infinite biology nonsense, I could pull just from normal nature Koneko was in for a terrible time as our fighting ended when she began going to for nut shots to put me down, as she couldn't get past my healing any of the wounds in sprains or otherwise fractured bones, she gave me and seeing the cheating cat girl going for such terrible blows I morphed my entire arm into a reversed sort of hammer.

"Ever seen a mantis shrimp?" I asked Koneko as she dashed toward me to put me back on the defensive as she couldn't wait around with me actively draining her life force.

"No. Shut it, Geh!" She deadpanned before being all but clotheslined as the heavily contracted arm violently shot forward and with my body already having been boosted several times, I was able to very clearly overpower her quickly braced arms and my punch sent her through a couple trees.

"You good?" I called out and I saw Koneko who was just staring up into the sky while lying against one of the trees she knocked over just shakily raise up a thumbs up.

"Tsk, tsk Jake, you are so rough with your junior. Are you going to be so rough with us as well?" I heard Akeno speak as she walked out from behind the tree cover behind me.

"Going for nut shots is a big no-no," I said giving Koneko a pointed eye as she staggered to her feet, and I saw as was per usual in this universe her clothes were kind of shredded due to our fight leading to her pink bra being exposed.

"Don't stare," Koneko grumbled as she walked over to us, and I rolled my eyes.

"A chunk of your very white clothes has a bright pink patch, and you are cute so forgive me for getting lost in thought." I snarked and Koneko scoffed but rather than trying to break my shin like she would if Issei said... actually Issei would have just been drooling over seeing a bit of cleavage if he could even fight Koneko to begin with.

"Hmm are you going to tear off my own clothes in the heat of the moment?" Akeno teased me putting her arms beneath her large chest and hefting it up as she demurred in a fake shy moment.

"Ha! More like you will lead me around, but how is Klee's magic training going anyway?" I asked sitting down on a nearby tree trunk we knocked over during the days fighting and Akeno's wide teasing smile faded into a more natural fond one as she chuckled.

"Haha, that little adorable Klee has already begun calling me her big sister and has shown a pretty good talent and a fascination for fire magic, so I have been helping her get started on that," Akeno said and I couldn't help but feel a bead of sweat go down the back of my neck as I couldn't help but wonder if just like Klee having a connection to fire magic, would Ei be conceptually incapable of cooking?

"And how is Ei, and Artoria handling the training?" I continued as Akeno sat down beside me with a sigh.

"Oh, they are both so dutiful... But I have to ask, will they become uhm more independent I suppose?" Akeno asked kind of awkwardly, and I nodded as admittedly despite Artoria and Ei's generally great intelligence, they simply didn't have the wisdom of prior experiences to carry them through social situations.

"Yeah... They have their issues but in time they will grow into more independent people, especially with more life experience that will define them as a person." I explained as confidently as I could, as I wasn't all too sure honestly.

Honestly, physically I was greater than both Kiba and Koneko in their fields, but I definitely needed actual combat experience as my whole one-poke-to-death biokinetic nonsense won't be worth shit if I can't actually land a blow and keep my hand attached to their actual flesh for the few seconds it would take me to scan their bodies and hijack it.

So that's what I and the rest of the peerage had been doing. Just getting my combat skills up to snuff
