It took about ten minutes of continuous katana swings and slices for the three of them to land another blow against the opponent in front of them, which was the undead samurai. Rika knew that the old bones holding it together was brittle and that she could exploit it. She proceeded to tell Kuro and Mikoto to grab its attention as she snuck around back and kicked the fragile arms that it had, launching it into a scream.
Rika quickly mustered up all the strength that was left in her body to slice its head off, effectively ending its life and completing the mission. She fell down as she got helped up by Mikoto and Kuro. "I-Is it over?" she asked them as she had turned pale. "Y-You did it, Rika." Kuro said to her as the other survivors cheered on in celebration.
This was something new to Rika, something that she had never ever really felt for quite some time now. To be depended on by other people, no matter who it might be, just to be depended on like this was very heart warming for her, and nothing was going to change that. She did not even notice that a single tear had come down from her eyes because of how heart felt her feelings were.
"What's the matter, Rika? Were you injured anywhere at all?" Mikoto asked her but Rika simply shook her head. "No, not really. I do not know why I am crying, even." She said as she quickly wiped her face off of tears. "Thank you for saving us, miss!" a child who did not look like she could be older than thirteen hugged Rika as she gave her thanks and extended her gratitude for her strength and resolute nature in fighting that monster. She did not know how to react to such kindness, given that her life had always been cold and distant.
