"Men..! Am tired of someone popping out from nowhere," Lyon complained getting ready to fight.
"Wait... He's not a threat," Nate stopped Lyon before facing Leo.
"What do you mean by that question?" Nate asked Leo.
Leo looked at the others demanding privacy.
"Let's just talk somewhere else," Nate suggested as he leads Leo away from the others...
Entering one of the demolished buildings, Nate asked again. "What do you want.."
Leo's face frowned. "What are you doing... Why haven't you made a move into the government settlement?" Leo asked.
"Hey...I have my problems to attend to, and besides, why are you so much in a hurry, I still have plenty of time," Nate replied.
Leo couldn't help but face-palm himself in disappointment. Sighing, Leo continued to ask. "Then what about the two options I gave you, which one have you chosen?" Leo asked again.
Hearing this, Nate became confused. "Two options? Did you ever give me any option?" Nate asked confused.
Leo couldn't have been more embarrassed at this moment. "I mean you the option of killing the matrix and the option of getting rid of all the zombies in existence," Leo listed out.
It was only at this moment did Nate recall one of the decisions he had with Leo.
"What's with that, I haven't made up my mind yet, not like I know where the matrix is and am not planning to go hunting for them," Nate answered.
"So that means you picked the second option?" Leo asked.
Nate didn't answer immediately, he thought about it for a moment. "I don't know, I haven't made up my mind yet and besides, there is no hurry, we still have some time to think this through, " Nate eventually gave his response and just as expected, it was not something Leo liked.
"What do you mean we have time...more of those whitebonez are being created by the day. Their population are rising, if you want to get rid of all the zombies then you have to find who is creating those zombies and stop him...!" Leo warned.
Nate was surprised to hear that the whitebonez population are raising, Nate did not know if this was a threat to him.
Initially, he never thought big about the person behind the creation of the Whitebonez zombie, and the reason for this was that Forever Winter Island was just too far from Panama City.
However, if the population of the Whitebonez were to raise, it means in no time, they will start seeking food outside their territory.
"Well, at least the matrix is no longer a problem for now?" Nate said.
"Is that what you think...they are making their move towards forever winter island as well, " Leo announced.
Of course, Nate did not believe Leo. "Haha..are you saying all this to push me into action, if so, nice try," Nate said to Leo.
"I don't care if you believe me or not, all I am telling you is that the enemy are striving, you also need to strive," Leo said.
"So you came here to warn me about the matrix and the whitebonez, that's all?" Nate asked angrily.
"Well...you have the right to ignore one and follow the other, but remember, the reason the system was created in the first place was to stop the zombie population from spreading," Leo said.
"What if I decided to go for the two...?" Nate asked.
"I can't say if it is possible but it will be hard, very hard... Just a small tip for you, the matrix is now with the zombie hunters and are heading towards the winter land," Leo said.
'Joined the zombie hunters, is that why the old man came for me, was he sent by the matrix? ' Nate wondered.
'No...if so, the system would have alerted me about the matrix presence, ' Nate thought...
Regardless, there was one thing Nate was clear about. 'The matrix being what they are will surely try to take over the hunter association and then use them to hunt me down, but why are they heading towards the winter land, is that where their base is located,' Nate has so many questions running through his mind and if he was to ask Leo the latter will demand something in return.
"I will think about my choice," Nate said to Leo and was ready to walk back to the others.
"I hope to see you soon on the other side," with that said, Leo disappeared leaving Nate wondering what to do next.
'Should I just forget about the matrix and force on capturing all the zombies in the world?' Nate asked himself but soon shook the thought off.
By the time Nate will arrive at the others, they have already finished taking all the zombies into the mothership.
Rather than taking them to the space prepared for the zombies, all the zombies were taken to Mark's lab where the latter was running a few tests on the zombies.
"It's useless, the vaccine won't work," Nate said announcing his presence to the others.
"Who was that guy?" lyon asked.
"Well, he was the one that took me away after the fight with the matrix," Nate answered not bothering to explain more about Leo, he have already told them about Leo it was just that they haven't met him in person.
Meanwhile, Nate went on to watch what Mark was doing.
"I know this might be stupid for me to do but I think there is a theory that is trying to test out," Mark explained to Nate.
"Go on...!" Nate gestured to him to explain.
"When someone is bitten by a zombie, the time it will take for them to turn into zombies depends on where they were bitten,"
"For instance, someone bitten on the neck will mutate fast than someone bitten on the arm or legs,"
"Reason for this is because for the virus to turn someone into a zombie, the virus first has to reach the brain," Mark explained.
What Mark was saying was a fact Nate was already aware of, however, looking at it again, Nate seems to have an idea of what Mark was thinking.
"So you think the zombie virus is some sort of mental illness?" Nate asked not letting Mark finish his explanation since he had already figured it out.
"Not really but something of that sort. If this vaccine can kill the virus before they become a zombie, then there is a chance it can kill the virus in their brain," Mark suggested.
"All I have to do is to make the vaccines more powerful than before," Mark said as he brought another syringe. This time, rather than injecting it into the zombie's neck, Mark was aiming for the head.
Both Bull and Lyon seem to be understanding what was going on and Bull soon found out that there is still hope for his men.
"Your theory might turn out to be correct but you are missing something," Nate stopped Mark from injecting the syringe.
"As a zombie, we are already dead, our body organs are all dead but only one is still alive and that is our brain,"
"There is a reason why our brain is still alive and that is because of the virus. The virus is keeping our brain alive, then imagine if you were to cure the virus then what, the brain will die just like the rest of our body since it has nothing else to keep it alive," Nate explained.
Hearing this, the light on Bull's face fades. Just when he thought there is hope, it turned out that it was useless.
