Chapter 195 - Taking permission.

V, Ron, Tony and Shad rushed out towards the beast waves the moment they came in sight of it. The others also followed up and even those with a weapon were already running towards the beasts. Unlike before when they were facing a beast wave, one could see fear and worry all over their face, however, after undergoing the beating section in Nate and his hordes hand, they were no longer afraid of a beast as before, they felt excited as a matter of fact since most were about to test their power on a real beast that is out to kill them.

However, maybe someone was good at destroying one's mood because as they were rushing towards the beasts, a couple of spikes flew above them. It cast shadows over them and it eventually hit all the beasts, killing them on the spot.

"Who just did that?" everyone was left confused because initially, they were meant to kill all the beast and were wondering what just killing it.

Meanwhile, V walked up to one of the beasts and pulled out the spike. "That belongs to Lyon," Tony said as he recognized the spike as one that was produced by Lyon in his porcupine form.

"Then what is it doing here, why would he interrupt our training," Ron wasn't happy at the sudden development. It was understandable since he wants to get more experience fighting with his power.

V used his superstition eyesight to look for Lyon and soon found him flying towards them. "I know you all might be angry as to why I interrupted you all, but an emergency popped out and we need you all in your apex state to deal with the problem," Lyon said as he started leading them back to the base.

"Why do I have this strange feeling something big is coming," Tony muttered.

"What are you talking about, something big has always been coming and that's why we are training," Shad replied Tony.

Soon, they were all back at the base and one of the first things that were done to them was to replenish their energy even though they didn't use the one they already have. Seeing all this, V know something wasn't right.

"Where is Nate?" he asked Lyon.

Now standing in what seems like a watchtower, Nate with his horde member and Lily with her higher base members all have their eyes glued to a computer system that was set in front of them whereas Mark was running some code on it.

After a short period of typing in words and numbers into the computer, something different from cold writing software appeared on the computer screen.

It was footage of a group of people dressed in black tops and pants, on their chest has many words written on it but the one that stood out the most was the word "matrix".

Mark has just done connecting the computer server to the mothership's own and therefore has an assessment of the horde eye skill and they were currently watching as the group most likely the matrix was approaching their base.

Of course, this was able to be done all because Nate allowed it to happen.

"No doubt they are the people your guys are talking about?" Lily asked as she looked closely at the computer attempting to see more or maybe recognize anyone among them.

"They are quite large in number," Johnson commented.

"They are no were close to this the last time we faced them," Lyon said. Back in the Halloween town, Nate could still remember that it was only five people were stated as people sent by the matrix.

"Just how could they recruit such amount of men to work for them, do you somehow offend an entire nation or something," Tony lamented. The number of men they are seeing is just too much, if they should count it should outnumber their fighting men.

Looking deep, beside the corner, they could see a digital number written at the sideline. "What those this number means," Albert asked.

"That is their total number," Mark replied shocking the rest.

The number stated was "25500" and seeing, V looked at Nate and his group yet they were no single sign that shows they are worried. 'I nearly forgot they aren't humans anymore but this number is too much, as a high intelligence being they should at least be worried.

"25500, this is not people sent by the government or something of that sort but people that have fallen under the matrix control," Mark said zooming towards their hands and a ring was visible for the others to see.

"The matrix or whoever they are uses their blood to create this ring, once you wear them, automatically, you will lose control of your body and the worst thing about it is that will be conscious of what you're doing but will be doing it against your will," Bull explained since he has experienced how it felt to be under control by the matrix.

"last time I checked our base population total does not even reach 10,000 not to talk of above, even if everyone in our base fights, they will still outnumber us, just take a look at their firearms, no doubt this is a higher standard one," Albert said disheartened.

"That's the mean point here, I know you we had a deal but staying here will be more dangerous than you think, they exceeded what I expected," Nate being to speak.

"Where are you going with this?" Lily's face frowned.

"Those guys are coming for me and me alone they want, although I might have wanted to know who the matrix is it seems I will do it myself,"

Nate eventually shared his thoughts on a serious note concerning the matter. His intention has been made clear and everyone thought it was a stupid idea.

"I hope you weren't referring to us when you said to stay away because that is one order I will disobey if you are planning to face all those people by yourself," Lyon said and the rest of the horde agreed with what he said. There is no way they are letting Nate fight alone.

"Actually, I was talking to them," Nate corrected himself however more opposition popped out.

"Why would you do such a thing we have an agreement and you have done your side of it, let me do me," Lily opposed knowing Nate was referring to them.

"I can't, people are dangerous," Nate said.

"And how are they dangerous, you guys are strong, we now have multiple superhumans on our side I'm sure with proper preparation, we can win this fight," Lily said.

"They also have superhuman!" Nate said raising his voice a bit before calming down. "25500, they are all superhuman, how do you intend to fight people like that?" Nate confessed.

Meanwhile, Lily couldn't speak after hearing this. She was shocked just like the others. Having 25500 superhumans facing against three hundred superhumans, no doubt the winner has already been decided way before the fight started.

"How did you know they are superhuman?" Shad asked. At this point, they know things won't be easy as they think.

"It's a bit complicated, what you guys are seeing is live footage of my spy bird, and it is telling everything I need to know about them," Nate replied.

"No matter what, those guys are dangerous if it is so and they need to be eliminated," V said. "They have to be a way, at least a way to defend against them, no matter what, we have to help you, you have done a lot for us and we need to pay you back,"

Hearing this, Nate started to think back to any of his skills that can help against killing 25500 superhumans and his mind kept going to the atomic mark. If he was to repeat what happened in Halloween town now, it might be able to clear things but that will mean the others won't assist him else they might get hurt.

However that was when something popped into Nate's mind, and he looked at Lily. "There is a way to defend this base but for that, I will be taking your base under me for about a week or so," Nate said.

Nate's request seems a bit too much and it came as a shock to those who heard him, however, they were about to get more shocked by Lily's reply.

"Fine, as long as it will keep everyone safe, you can take it for a week,"

On getting this reply, notifications started to pop out in Nate's interface.
