After making sure that the group of men dressed in military wear was out of sight, Nate proceeded with the current body lying on the table of the house they had just gone in while trying to avoid being noticed by the men passing.
Of course, the body that was lying on the table was Mia.
Nate was not foolish to leave such a thing behind, after all, they were still some small life coming out from the body.
That was not the only thing that Nate had taken with him.
[ Inventory ]
A status hologram appeared on Nate's interface with the selection of what he wanted to take out from his inventory.
[sword]
A small fog appeared on Nate's hand, the fog was not thick, shortly after the fog cleared out with a sword on Nate's hand.
Holding the sword in his left hand, Nate starts to swing the sword at a certain angle, and even at some point changes the hand in which he is using to hold the sword.
'This is not bad.
List with this if I should face that blood dog again, I'm more confident that it will be a lot easier than before. ' Nate thought as he swung the sword a few more times.
"Hakata"
Just then, Nate heard the sound of Peter zombie talk.
"ohhhh... I almost forgot,"
Nate went to the bag that Peter was carrying and brought out meat.
"This is the last of our mother, and we need it to recover the lost energy"
Nate tossed some parts of the meat to Peter who rushed to the meat that instant.
Though he was not able to catch the steak before it fell on the floor he still went after it and started eating the meat from the floor.
"This is strange"
Though Nate took all this as a game seeing Peter eating from the floor with no care, also the fact that he was eating human flesh their mum's own on that matter, Nate kind of found it strange but not for long because he too would also have to feast on the same flesh.
Nate stuffed the remaining flesh in his mouth with no remorse.
[EP = 100/100]
[HP = 100/100]
Having been through three battles straight, Nate had no time back to feed either himself or Peter during the fight, so this had left him and Peter's HP bar low.
Although it was not Nate's health that was low but the energy that he had used in hearing himself a couple of times in the fight.
After this Nate went on to check his status along with Peter's own.
[Host status]
[Name = Nate way]
[Age = 18]
[Race = undead]
[Class = zombie]
[Level = 4]
[Exp = 0/500]
[Horde members = 1]
[Strength = 7]
[Agility = 7]
[Endurance = 2]
[Intelligence = 2]
[Energy = 100/100]
[HP = 100/100]
[8 point attributes remaining]
Nate had noticed all the changes in his attributes, one was starting from his level.
Nate had not noticed that he was now on a great higher level than he was before.
This was because he was so preoccupied with the fact that he now had the inventory that he failed to notice the other changes that had just occurred.
Another was his strength and agility which were now two points ahead of what it was before.
Then they were the endurance and intelligence that had been at zero point but now we're two points each.
After this, there seemed to be nothing else except energy and health bars that were now filled up to 100%.
Just when Nate was about to switch to Peter, it was then that his eyes caught the 8 additional attribute points that were stuck at the bottom of the hologram screen.
'8 additional attribute points? How did I get all of that? I thought it was only two that I had. Nate decided to recheck that reward list.
[Instant levels up for you and your horde]
[horde member Peter is now on level one]
[Level up for host]
[Level up...]
[host is now in level four]
[One attribute point distributed to all horde members Peter's attribute status]
[Two attribute points distributed to all hosts attribute status]
[Two attribute points for horde member Peter]
[Six attribute points for host]
[New skill opened]
[Inventory]
[Level one]
[Another skill opened]
[inspector]
[Level one]
[Next Level up = 0/500 exp]
After a brief recheck of the rewards notification, Nate seemed to understand what had happened.
Nate did not forget that he already had an attribute point after completing his first quest and he is yet to distribute it to any of his statuses.
With that one gone, Nate switched to Peter's status.
[Name = Peter]
[Age = 16]
[Race = undead]
[Class = zombie horde]
[Level = 1]
[Attributes]
[Strength = 2]
[Agility = 3]
[Intelligence = 1]
[HP = 100/100]
Peter's status had always been simple, with just his identity and his attributes, unlike Nate who had a lot in his status.
Regardless of that, Nate still noticed one single change though that was not the only change.
One was Peter's level was now visible.
Nate could recall back the last time he checked, Peter had no level like him, which Nate did not think much about and only assumed that his horde might be working especially.
In a case where he the leader must be the one to evolve for his hordes to also evolve.
This theory came to be because Nate had played quite a lot of games that work that way.
After that, Nate also starts to analyze other things about Peter such as his intelligence which was at a zero point.
Nate does not know what the intelligence might be working on or how it might be getting them stronger.
With that aside, Nate got himself busy by cutting the dead body that was currently lying on the table.
He was using both hands and knives, and even the sword was put to work at some point where the body claims to be tough.
It didn't take much longer for Nate to divide the body into two parts and use the knives to cut them into different shapes.
Then after that, Nate stored the flesh in two bags.
It was a big waste bin bag, it was at least big enough to hold two people inside.
After all the packaging, Nate kept one of the bags in his inventory and handed over the other to Peter.
At this point, Nate was wondering how to command Peter to store the bag.
He had not thought this part through.
But in the end, it seems like there is still no need for him to do so because just in front of him, the fog mist starts to appear on Peter's hand and covers both his hand and the bag.
After the mist cleared out, Nate found out that the bag was no longer in Peter's hand.
'That's good of you.
"Now let's go find a clean cloth and maybe a new weapon" Nate muttered as he walked towards the door Following him was also Peter.
Not long after they left, a man who seemed to be old but his walking steps were saying something else.
The man has white-gray hair that probably was there because of old age.
The hair ran down to his back waist and one could see some vain wrinkles on his face.
"Those two... They don't smell like a human"
