Chapter 11 - Chapter 10 - Birds Die For Food, Men Die For Wealth

Fang Buhei snickered as he stared at LingYue, " I don't know how you did it, but I want to know how you could cultivate to the 2nd realm of the Body Tempering Stage and how the FUCK you grew back your arm!"

"You're going to tell me you're secrets, even if I have to dig them out of you, there's no way you should be able to cultivate blood qi, with the [Qi Limiting Shackles] placed on you!" He barked.

LingYue looked at the crazed Fang Buhei, as he looked at his shackles and then at the corpses of the two young disciples, they both similar in age to him. . .

"You all are all the same," LingYue remarked with a forlorn sigh.

Fang Buhei's eye went bloodshot as he watched LingYue, like a hunter watching his prey. . .

LingYue once again readied himself as he could feel the momentum of his opponent rising!

*BOOM!*

Fang Buhei launched himself, with his full potential brought to the fore as he flew towards LingYue like a starved ghost, flickering through the dark tunnels as the light of the wall lamps swayed with the flame.

*Pata Pata Pata Pata *

His feet hit against the ground with his arms outstretched as they trailed behind him, his sudden speed uncanny as he seemed to have flickered slightly.

LingYue leapt backwards as his toes pushed off the ground, as the wind made an eerie shrill where he once was due to a swipe made by his opponent.

Fang Buhei's right floor planted on the ground as he spun closing the distance between him and LingYue, his clothes billowing in the generated wind.

His hand reaching for LingYue's throat!

[Ghost Palm's First Movement: Savage Spectre Palm!]

Refusing to be passive LingYue countered with his own [Feral Crane's Agile Claw First Movement: Wind Catching Wing]!

He used his palm like a blade as he parried Fang Buhei's attack, then followed as his other hand struck back towards the opponent's face!

Fang Buhei turned his face to avoid the palm knife as it brushed his chin, slicing open the skin and drawing blood!

Upon being the first wounded Fang Buhei leapt backwards to place some distance but how could LingYue allow that?!

LingYue pressed forwards as his hands alternatively used palm knives as he swung and chopped, his heart racing as he felt the exhilaration of being able to fight back on somewhat even grounds with this outer sect disciple.

No longer would he have to cower, all the pressure up to this point, all the suffering felt, it was just for this moment; a weight lifting off his shoulders as he fought.

He began to feel free and uninhibited, his moves began to change from the [Feral Crane's Agile Claw First Movement: Wind Catching Wing] to the [Feral Crane's Agile Claw Second Movement: Flying Feral Claw], unknowingly his mastery of this martial movement, at this time had taken another step forward.

His movements became more erratic and unpredictable as he mixed in the Claw moves of the second movement!

One moment it's a graceful and swift, light and beautiful palm knife attacking and defending in tandem to another moment where it's erratic and quick, sharp and deadly like a crazed fiend.

Fang Buhei started to sweat, his opponent clearly having better control over his martial movements than him and being they were close in realms, his realm advantage was rendered useless.

He countered with his [Ghost Palm's Second Movement: Gorging Ghost] as they fought in close quarters, danger lingering around every corner.

The sounds of the blows reverberated within the tunnel as the sounds kept curious eyes at bay, no one even dared to go anywhere near such a fight!

It sounded like the battle of Gods and Ghosts within these tunnels as dust fell from the ceiling.

*****************

A palm strike was levied at LingYue's head but he blocked it with a palm strike of his own!

After guarding against that attack his hand snaked out with a claw grasping for the other's throat but Fang Buhei jumped to block the claw with a knee strike before they both separated.

Both panting and out of breath, Fang Buhei shook his arms as he made a claw gesture, "Remember the one who killed you is Fang Buhei!" he stated.

LingYue snapped back, "You talk to fuckin' much" as he made a clawed gesture with both his hands as well.

[Ghost Palm's Third Movement:Heart Shattering Palm!!]

[Feral Crane's Agile Claw Third Movement: Grand Severing Claw!!]

They both went all in as they rushed each other, it was either do or die!

Multiple blows were traded in the span of a few breaths, blood flying as clothes were torn, LingYue's claws leaving deep gashes on Fang Buhei's body and face.

The two were covered in blood, their bodies sore, a blow from Fang Buhei's Heart Shattering Palm had landed on the cuff around LingYue's neck, cracking it in several places, while claw marks were levied all around Fang Buhei's upper torso. . .

But it seemed the one with the most durability and stamina was still Fang Buhei, as he was within the 3rd Realm of the Body Tempering Stage.

As he snickered he looked at the tired and injured LingYue as slowly walked towards him, finally glad to have an advantage against this unnatural freak.

His claws were as sharp as spirit weapons, his teeth like fangs and his. . . wait a minute, a sudden thought occurred to him, as he stared in shock upon his realization.

This guy was a Fae!!!

His hatred reached new peaks as he felt humiliation like never before. If anyone knew he had such a hard time with a fae, he'd be a laughing stock!

In his anger, he lunged towards LingYue as he wanted to tear this fae lime from limb to hide his shame.

LingYue noticed the change in his opponent's eyes as he noticed the guy had probably figured out his secret.

LingYue's eyes gradually narrowed as killing intent blazed within his heart more strongly than ever before, his face turned stoic. . .

LingYue had no more time to play with him as he withdrew multiple of the new Jadeite Thorns and threw them.

Fang Buhei not knowing they were the new and improved ones, shielded only his vital areas, while some stabbed into his arms and thighs.

His arms lowered as he felt that this was his opponent's last-ditch attempt before dying, but as he took a step forward he coughed blood.

He looked down to see the blood he coughed on himself was a dark murky colour with a foul stench emanating from it.

He checked the Jadeite Thorns and noticed the skin around the wounded area had turned black. The impurities had become a deadly poison to mortals and as Fang Buhei stumbled about in the tunnel, he slumped to the side as his vision began to swim.

Even LingYue was surprised by how effective it was as he watched his opponent's skin slowly darken as the areas around the wound turned necrotic and spread across his body.

With a few tens of breaths, the poison had completely reaped Fang Buhei's life, leaving a rancid-smelling corpse with the flesh rotting and falling to the floor before melting into a mulch-like substance.

LingYue dropped to the ground panting as he stared at the ceiling before turning his head to look over at the small bags that were on the bodies of both the junior disciples. . .
