Chapter 18 - The Truth

Naruto

Dripping, Dripping, Dripping

Opening his eyes, Naruto found himself in a familiar place, the tubes around the walls, water reaching just below his knees. The feeling of malice suddenly hit him everywhere around his body; others would faint due to the amount of Killing Intent, but Naruto didn't back down; he needed answers; he would not just turn around with his tails between his legs like a scared dog.

His blue eyes almost pierced the tunnel's darkness in front of him; the growl reaching his ears didn't make him have doubts as he walked forward. The water warm, the walls dripping water, the blonde soon reached the end of the tunnel, greeted by the familiar cage, where the creatures inside him reside.

Naruto was met with nothing but silence; even inside the cage, there was nothing but darkness everywhere; at first, it looked like nothing was there, just a giant empty cage, but Naruto could feel the creature or spirit or whatever it was.

For so many years, Naruto had simply ignored his presence; in his eyes, the creature's presence changed nothing; therefore, Naruto had just acted as if nothing was happening. Of course, that all changed when he lost control, even going as far as to kill two people; Naruto cursed under his breath.

He was an Airbender; he was not supposed to be like this; Avatar Aang saved the world and never killed anyone, Maybe?! But as far as anyone knew, he had saved the world without spilling blood.

They said I'm no danger, but what if I lose control again? What if next time I harm Asami or anyone from my family? Naruto thought grimly; he wondered if there was any way he could get rid of the creature inside him.

Naruto knew his family tried to act normal towards him, but he knew nothing was the same anymore; they didn't show fear towards him, which really was a relief to Naruto; if they were afraid, Naruto didn't know what he would do.

His uncle hadn't explained much about the creature, only saying that grandpa Aang had felt the creature when he was born; Naruto wondered if his mother knew anything about it. Maybe Grandma Katara knows something; how much Naruto wished he could talk with grandpa Aang somehow, he knew someone like him would be able to answer every question.

"Uncle, can I talk to you in private?" Naruto asked calmly towards his uncle, who was writing something on a blank paper; they were both in his solar where Tenzin spent time doing his job as a councilman.

Tenzin usually was alone here unless when Pema walked inside to offer him tea or his children decided that they needed to annoy him to have fun. Still, mostly Tenzin spends the time here alone, which changed when he started giving Naruto more duties, hoping for him to take his place as Councilman of Airbenders after he retires. Tenzin had called Naruto to complete a few letters for him, something about building a new school for both Benders and Non-Benders to study in the same place since right now there were schools only for Benders and schools only for Non-benders.

Both Tenzin and Naruto had visited both schools to see their condition, how teaching goes, and everything else necessary when it came to studying. To say the difference between schools was big would be an understatement; the difference was like comparing night and day.

The non-benders didn't even have the basics things to study; in a class of thirty students, only five books for all of them to study, and the material they were reading wasn't exactly updated.

Books that hadn't changed for at least 20 years, no wonder many non-Benders simply were taught by their parents or some other way that involved stealing books and other things.

The sudden voice of his nephew caused Tenzin to stop writing before his eyes looked up at his nephew over the mountain of documents on his desk.

"What is it, Naruto?" Tenzin asked calmly with a soft tone.

"Uncle, you said my grandfather was able to see something strange inside me; I have seen it as well," Naruto said dreadfully.

This caused Tenzin to freeze; the pencil on his fingers fell from his hands before rolling to the edge of the desk until it fell, causing a sound to be heard in the silent room.

Tenzin looked directly at his nephew, but not with anger, fear, or wariness on his eyes, nothing of the sort, but only a hint of curiosity. Tenzin made a sound with his closed mouth, indicating for him to continue.

Naruto understood before straightening up slightly, his body suddenly feeling uncomfortable, hoping his uncle won't be angry with him for keeping a secret.

"When I was a kid, one night, after I fell asleep, I woke up in a strange place; at first, I thought I was simply dreaming, but everything felt real. I was in what looked like a sewer, something like that. I heard an animal growl and this malice feeling everywhere around me as if trying to suffocate me," Tenzin kept quiet and only listened to Naruto without asking, for now, something the young elemental bender appreciates it.

"I walked forward only to find a cage at the end of a tunnel, it was a giant cage, inside it two giant red eyes suddenly opened looking at me. At first, I thought it was some strange spirit, but he said he was no spirit. He said he was Kyuubi, the Nine-Tails Fox. Over the years, I have met him only one more time; sometimes he talks, but nothing else," Naruto finished, waiting for the shouting to keep something like that hidden. Instead, his uncle looked deep in thought, his gaze lowering, looking at the desk in front of him.

Silence took over again, only the sound of their breathing that stopped when Tenzin looked up at his nephew.

"This Kyuubi, did he ever try to- tell you to do something for him?" Tenzin asked nervously, hoping the creature hadn't tried to manipulate him, but Naruto quickly shook his head in denial.

Breathing again, he sighed in relief, 'Kyuubi?! What is this? Father never said anything about any nine tails fox! Just where did he come from??'

"What else can you tell me?" Tenzin asked; Naruto simply said that the fox was much larger than him, simply looking at it.

"Why did you never said anything?" Tenzin finally asked something that had been eating at him since Naruto said that he knew of the creature; for a moment, Tenzin wondered if his nephew didn't trust him, but quickly shook that idea away; his nephew might have different beliefs when it came to airbending, and they might have some discussions every now and then about how an Airbender should act. However, he knew his nephew still saw him as someone he could trust.

Naruto flinched slightly where he sat, his body moving uncomfortably, not being able to meet his uncle's eyes; he knew this question would come the moment he decided to tell him everything.

Finally having the courage, Naruto looked up at his uncle, his blue eyes meeting his uncle's brown eyes.

"I didn't know what to think at first. I was afraid that you, my mother, and everyone would look at me differently, maybe even afraid of me. I didn't know what to think, and it didn't change anything until three days ago. Nothing unusual happened, so I just thought to keep it a secret," Naruto explained, his voice sounding a bit desperate at the end.

Tenzin frowned slightly, not because of Naruto, but because three days ago wasn't exactly the only time he lost control; Tenzin still remembered that night seven years ago with dread.

His body shudders slightly at the unpleasant memory.

"Uncle?" Naruto asked, seeing his strange reaction.

Tenzin stood up from his seat before walking over to Naruto, putting a hand on his shoulder followed by an encouraging smile.

"You're the same to me, Naruto. The creature inside you doesn't change that you're still my nephew," Tenzin stated with a smile; Naruto smiled in return before standing up and hugging his uncle.

"Thank You, Uncle Ten," earning a chuckle from Tenzin; it has been over ten years since Naruto called him that.

Escaping his thoughts, a determined look on his face. Naruto knew what he needed to do.

"Kyuubi, Come out. It would help if you answered some questions," Naruto demanded; as soon as he said those words, a loud growl was heard from the other side before three giant claws tried to reach through the small openings of the cage.

Naruto didn't even flinch from the sharp claw bigger than him, only a meter away from his body.

"You think you can demand anything from me, boy? You seem to forget that my power far accedes that of even your puny Avatar," Kyuubi growled at the brat, his figure slowly appearing in front of Naruto, whose eyes didn't show fear in front of the giant creature, despite being inside him, Naruto could tell from how small his own body compared to Kyuubi that the giant fox was over eighty meters.

"That night that I killed them, what happened?" Naruto asked slowly, his voice firm.

Kyuubi narrowed his eyes at the brat; he was brave; he had to give it to him, but in the end, he was only a human who only knew war and greed.

Not mentioning the bloody Sharingan, he didn't know how the brat had it, but he knew there must be a reason. As far as he knew, Kushina had no Uchiha blood, and neither did the Namazaki brat.

"You know what happened; you allowed yourself to be controlled by your anger, accessing some of my power," Kyuubi answered, wondering where the brat was going with this.

Naruto didn't say anything; he knew what had happened; he wondered if Kyuubi could influence him only when he was angry?

"Where do you come from? You said you are no Spirit, so where do you come from? You said you were sealed inside me; how and who sealed you?" Naruto asked all the questions he wanted to know, his teeth clenching, his fingers slowly piercing the skin of his palms.

"Do you really want to know that? Are you sure that's what you want? If you want, I will tell you, but once I start, I Won't Stop," Kyuubi spoke. At first, he thought to ignore the brat but knew there was no point hiding that piece of information, not mentioning if he was lucky, Naruto could get very angry.

Naruto thought of it; he heard his words and wondered what he meant as if knowing the truth would change everything. His mind went to his family, mother, Asami, Uncle Tenzin, and everyone smiling at him.

Looking back at the giant fox, he slowly nodded his head with determination, he was here to get answers, and he would have them one way or another.

"Yes"

"Very well"

The Past

Uzumaki Kushina was crying out in pain as she began to deliver the baby which she carried. All the while, she was struggling to keep the Kyuubi, which she had sealed inside her, in check. If there was any night where the Kyuubi could escape, it was tonight. The seal on her had weakened over the past few months as her energy was more focused on developing the child within her womb than it was on the great demon sealed within her. Thankfully, she had help.

Her husband, Namikaze Minato, and the Yondaime Hokage was doing everything in his power to keep the Kyuubi's seal in check and to help his wife through the trials of childbirth.

"I can see the head! Just a little more, Kushina!" shouted Biwoku, the midwife responsible for delivering Kushina's child.

"Naruto! Come out!" shouted Minato. "Kyuubi, you stay in!"

Kushina gritted her teeth one last time and gave one more push. Suddenly, the sounds of the room were filled with that of a crying child. Kushina tried to regain her breath as she began to cry as Biwoku wrapped the newly born boy in a blanket.

"Naruto," Minato said, smiling, approaching Biwoku, who was holding the newborn baby; he was about to take him in his arms.

"Not you; the mother should see him first," Biwoku said strictly at him before walking towards Kushina, who was smiling, as the other woman put Naruto next to her, still crying, "He's perfect," Kushina said smiling, she felt something new, now looking at her child, she knew she would do anything to keep him safe. He was her and Minato's flesh and blood, the most beautiful child.

Surprisingly Naruto stopped crying, hearing his mother's voice, before a smile slowly was visible on his chubby and cute face.

"We will take him now; you should rest, Kushina," The older woman said; she carefully grabbed Naruto, Kushina still looking at him, before Minato approached her.

"Now to secure the seal," Minato said, ready to secure the seal.

Suddenly a cry was heard, two bodies fell dead on the ground, and a masked man came out holding Naruto in his arms, causing both Minato and Kushina to turn their heads.

"Fourth Hokage. Back away from the Jinchuriki, or your son dies at the ripe old age of one minute." A man wearing a mask said darkly as he held a crying newborn in his arm.

Minato was in shock as he stared at the two people that helped deliver his son into the world, dead on the ground, while his wife, lying on the bed, screamed in agony as the seal of the Nine-Tail fox was breaking. A minute ago, his wife finally gave birth, and everything seemed perfect. They were supposed to start a warm, loving family, but everything turned upside down. A masked man appeared from out of nowhere, killed the people that helped them, and was now holding his son... the son that he hadn't had a chance to hold himself with his own two hands.

The masked man pulled out a kunai, directing it to the crying baby.

"Back away from the Jinchuriki... or don't you care if your son dies?" the masked man asked in his cold, dark voice.

Minato finally snapped from his thoughts and uprightly raised a hand to him.

"Hold it! J-Just calm down!" he yelled as his heart raced.

"You should take your own advice, Minato. I'm perfectly calm." He said, smiling behind his mask before throwing Naruto into the air, rushing towards him, ready to slice him in half.

His kunai only hit the air as Minato saved him at the last second.

"Minato," Kushina cried out in panic; Minato detected the paper bombs on Naruto, quickly throwing them away. He escaped the house just as it exploded, throwing debris everywhere.

Minato quickly checked on Naruto to see him still crying and well. "You're safe, my son," The fourth Hokage said before noticing a small piece of wood had pierced his leg; pulling it out, he threw it in the air as he disappeared away.

After making sure that Naruto was alright, Minato saved Kushina as Kyuubi tried to stomp on her. Teleporting her where Naruto was, after making sure both Kushina and Naruto were fine.

Minato teleported to the Hokage monuments, which seemed to have grabbed Kyuubi's attention; as he quickly launched a Tailed Beast Bomb, Minato quickly teleported it far away.

Before he knew it, he felt a presence behind him. Minato took one of his kunai and swung at the masked man, who had suddenly appeared behind him. The knife passed through the man as if he were a ghost. As soon as the knife passed through, the man grabbed Minato by the shoulder and tried to suck him into a vortex thing. But Minato was able to flash away again, taking the masked man with him. They appeared outside the Namikaze estate as the two foes stared at each other.

He was wearing a long black coat and a white mask with ripples in the design, and a hole for one eye- God, was that a Sharingan?

"Who are you?"

"Me? I'm Tobi. Nice to meet you, Hokage-san."

"I know as well as you that the name you just gave me is fake. Who are you really? What do you want?"

"Oh? I thought the Yondaime-Hokage of Konoha was supposed to be a genius at deduction? Surely you can tell my identity with a look? Do that trick of yours now. Deduce who I am." Tobi's voice seemed falsely cheerful.

Minato sighed- he really didn't have the time for this.

"At first glance, I'd say that you're an Uchiha. But you're not. If you were, you'd be a missing-nin, except for the fact that there has been no Uchiha missing-nin in the last seven years," The masked man twitched.

"Therefore, you're not an Uchiha. And you look young...I'd say you are about seventeen, eighteen. That leaves us with only one alternative. Seeing as you have chosen to reveal only one Sharingan eye and the fact that your wear a mask to cover your face, I'd say you found an Uchiha in battle, killed him, and took his eye for yourself," Tobi took a step closer to Minato. The look in the masked man's eye told him he was wrong. Was the man...angry?

"I see that I was wrong about that. Ah well. But, you seem to know me- I can see the recognition in your eyes," The masked man twitched again. "and you're angry. I could go on, but I don't really have the time to squabble with a kid right now. I suggest you go back to wherever you came from before getting hurt."

The masked man started laughing. It was a burst of maniacal, insane laughter- the laugh of someone who has lost everything.

"Very well done, Hokage-san. You're still the same as ever. I am the tiniest bit disappointed, however. I thought, of all people, you would recognize me. I guess I've changed a lot more than I thought I had," said Tobi, sighing.

At that moment, they both attacked each other. Minato, however, was even faster than Tobi.

The technique Tobi was using was definitely a space-time jutsu. He knew it would be hard to fight against this strange jutsu, but he'd observed that Tobi needed about two seconds before performing the technique again. And that opening was all he needed.

The two shinobi clashed, and this time Minato managed to use the opening- the tri-pronged kunai made its way into his hands as quick as a bolt of lightning as he slashed Tobi's arm in the two-second window before he could use the technique again.

When they separated, Tobi was bleeding.

For a moment, the fight stopped as Tobi inspected the nick on his arm. "It seems that I underestimated you, Hokage-san. You've only grown better with the passing of years."

Minato's lips turned upwards as he began running. Again the two clashed, and again, and again. It wasn't until ten minutes had passed –lasting ten minutes against the fastest ninja in the world was a feat in and of itself- that Minato was able to find an opening to use again.

He threw the kunai, both of them close, and his Rasengan passed through his shoulder.

"I Won"

Suddenly Minato disappeared, grabbing the kunai in mid-air before he slammed his Rasengan on his back, causing an enormous crater. Minato looked around to see Tobi clenching his right arm before it started falling to the ground, and instead of blood, white blood came out of it.

The masked man was about to run away when Minato teleported in front of him and slammed his hand on his chest.

"Contract Seal"

Back on the Battlefield, Kyuubi was finishing his tailed beast bomb when the Sharingan in his eyes slowly disappeared. Before the bomb was launched at the village, a giant toad suddenly slammed right into him, keeping him down.

Kyuubi tried to stand up as the toad slammed his leg on his face, "Stand down, you overgrown Dog," he shouted, but before Kyuubi could use his tails to kill him, he along with Minato disappeared, leaving only the giant toad behind.

Hiruzen watched as Minato left with the Kyuubi; he knew he needed to hurry before something terrible happened.

"waaa...waaa..." a cry of a baby was heard. Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage of the village Hidden in the Leaves, looked at Kyuubi, the nine-tailed beast, straight in the eye. Ready to seal him while Kushina held the demon fox with her Chakra Chains.

"Minato, isn't there anything we can do anything to avoid this?" Kushina pleaded with tear-filled eyes. She did not want her son to suffer the same pain she had to go through as the Kyuubi's Jinchuuriki, a human sacrifice.

"Kushina, you know just as well as I do that is impossible. I can't ask another parent to sacrifice their child if I myself can't do that, and I can't destroy the beast. We need the beast to maintain the balance between the five great nations, and it's impossible to seal so much chakra away", Minato reasoned.

Minato started to make the hand seals for the S rank forbidden sealing technique, Death Reaper Seal. Kushina cried, seeing that her son would have to suffer for the rest of his life, not to mention that he would never have the love of a father. Her heart fell unwillingly; one of her chakra chains came loose. Giving the demon fox the opening to use his claw to kill the child along with his parents. He lifted his paw, his claw rushing towards the baby.

The claw pierced right through Minato and Kushina, who used their bodies to protect Naruto; the claw stopped just before reaching Naruto, and a single drop of blood fell on Naruto's face.

Kushina kept looking at Naruto; she didn't want to believe that their time was limited; how much she wished that she and Mina-kun could stay with Naruto forever. "Kushi-kun, we need to say our goodbye," she suddenly heard Minato's voice. She slowly nodded her head; she looked down at Naruto again, his eyes slowly opened to reveal ocean blue eyes like Minato, she smiled at her treasure, and Naruto smiled a little. He Recognises us, Kushina thought.

"Naruto, my baby boy, I know you will have a hard time without us, but you should know Mina-kun and I love you more than life itself. You will eventually grow up and, with the time, will come naturally to like girls; choose a girl who loves you, who's always there for your happiest times and your lowest points. And you will soon meet Jiraiya, don't become like him, but he's still a good man who will take care of you. I love you. My Sochi," Kushina said, tears streaming down her cheek.

Minato smiled at Naruto, and his son smiled back. "Naruto, I want you to become what you want, do something that brings you happiness; Kakashi will be there for you as well, I know it. Please, if you become a shinobi, be strong and take care of your loved ones, and as your mother told you, choose a girl that loves you and is a bit hothead."

Soon with the help of Reaper Death Seal, half of Kyuubi was sealed inside Naruto. Minato died the moment the other half was sealed inside Naruto.

*****

Everything was on fire; the smoke had filled the air, no starts could be seen despite being a clear night with no clouds, and even the moon was hidden behind the smoke; the village of the Hidden Leaf was on fire after the battle with Kyuubi, the Demon Fox with Nine Tails.

Outside the village, far from the smoke, a woman was leaning against a rock, the blood leaking from a massive gash across her stomach; the ground and dirt had turned red from the blood.

Her eyes were half-closed, and to her right was the dead body of Minato, who looked peaceful; the only thing keeping Kushina from dying was the crying of her baby, holding closely in her arms, it was a cold night, and Naruto didn't have anything to cover him, Kushina used a part of her clothes to cover him who kept on crying, a Seal on his tummy.

She felt everything going away, her legs weren't hurting anymore, but she kept herself alive; she wanted to make sure that someone would find her baby before she left; she prayed Hiruzen would come soon. Naruto...

Suddenly she felt the wind changing direction; she took everything she had to look up; her eyes widened seeing the air close to her, changing, slowly the masked Uchiha appeared in front of her.

She clenched her teeth at the man who destroyed everything; No, she wanted to shout; he would not have her Naruto.

A dark chuckle escaped his lips; despite the pain in his stomach and right arm, he still smiled.

"So you're still alive, I'm impressed; after everything, you're still keeping yourself alive," The masked man spoke smugly as he slowly approached Kushina, who could hardly move.

"This is even better. The last thing you will see is me taking your son, knowing you couldn't do anything," He spoke, almost reaching Kushina.

Kushina suddenly grabbed a scroll from her pouch, slamming it on the ground; before the masked man could act, she activated the scroll with the last bit of chakra she had left, causing marks to spread around her and Naruto.

"NO"

Aang stood on top of Appa as he flew towards Kya's home; Katara told him that something had gone wrong; the old Avatar immediately had left everything he was doing and rushed towards his daughter's home.

As he flew closer, the wind and snow almost blocked the entire view; he could hardly see ten meters away, the wind echoing in his ears as if trying to speak.

The snowy ground below him, as Aang knew he was getting closer, suddenly a huge wind flew towards him and Appa, causing both of them to almost fall to the ground.

"Come on, Appa," he shouted before coughing.

Gaining the balance again, Aang prepared to keep flying towards where he was going when he heard a small sound; moving his reins, Appa changed direction towards the sound; Aang looked around closely at the ground below, hearing the slight sound getting louder.

Getting closer, he heard like a cry before his eyes widened at seeing someone down there, "Hurry, Appa," he shouted, immediately landing close.

Aang jumped from the bison, only now seeing it was a woman but the woman was as pale as snow, but his eyes widened at the baby she was holding closely; he immediately created a windshield around him, stopping the snow and the cold wind, with his left hand creating a fire.

Looking closer, he saw the woman's hair was red like blood; he had never seen that kind of hair color; Aang slowly put his arm around the crying baby, knowing he couldn't do anything for the woman, but if he hurried, he could potentially save an innocent baby.

As he tried to grab him, the woman's arm didn't budge, still holding the baby close.

Aang decided to use a bit more force; when the woman's eyes suddenly opened, his eyes widened, only now noticing the huge gash across her stomach; Aang couldn't fathom how she was still alive, despite not breathing or doing anything to indicate that she was alive.

Kushina saw a strange bald man, an arrow tattooed around his forehead; she didn't know who he was; she just prayed he wouldn't harm her Naruto.

"Pl-plea-please, ta-take c-ca-care," she tried to speak, her eyes lowering, focusing on Naruto again; Aang had heard her plead.

"I will, my lady, I will take care of your child," he promised, hearing his words; only then Aang was able to get the baby from her arms, feeling bad that he would need to leave her here for now, he knew the baby himself wasn't in the best condition.

"Na-naa-Nar-Naruto..." her voice stopped as her body stopped struggling, slowly falling against the snow; Aang felt his eyes welling, taking a huge breath.

"Naruto," he whispered, figuring out must be the name of the baby; holding him close, he wasted no time returning to Appa.

Katara

Tragedy had hit Aang's family. It had been one day now, but her daughter kept crying and not stopping; she had closed her door shut, not wanting to see anyone right now except Katara, who was standing close to her, not knowing herself what to do to ease her pain.

No parent should ever feel the pain of losing their children, Katara thought; she herself felt terrible; the only thing keeping her from crying was her daughter; she needed to be there for her.

Her daughter had been in labor for four hours. Everything had been going very well until everything changed; when the baby was born, Katara could only stare; the baby had been born dead.

Katara still didn't know what had gone so wrong, her arm around her daughter as she kept sobbing, not accepting any food or water; Katara had immediately sent a message to Bumi, Tenzin, and Aang to come here as soon as possible.

Suddenly they both heard the door slam open, footsteps rushing in before she could tell whoever came inside where they were.

"Katara, Katara, I need your Help Now," her husband shouted, causing Katara to rush towards the main room, leaving her daughter's room; she was met with Aang, who was holding a baby in his arms.

She was about to ask what was going on and who the baby was. "Katara, Help him; he's Very Cold," he pleaded, walking closer. Katara grabbed the baby, touching his forehead; it was as cold as ice.

Wasting no time, she told Aang to keep the fire going; she covered the baby with sheets, but not too many; his body was cold, and suddenly going from very cold to very warm might just kill him.

Slowly and using her healing water, the color returned on his little face, only now Katara noticed blonde hair; much to her surprise, she had never seen blonde hair before.

"How is he?" Aang asked behind her, hoping he hadn't been too late.

"He's fine; he will live," Katara finally said, facing her husband, who breathed a huge sigh of relief.

Right now, as the tense air slowly disappeared, Katara opened her mouth to ask who the baby was; when they heard the baby start crying, turning around, she wondered if she could take him to a nearby woman to feed him when the door of her daughter's room opened.

Inside came walking Kya, whose eyes immediately focused on the bundle crying.

"Wh-who's he?" Kya asked, her voice almost a whisper from crying, her eyes red, bags under her eyes as she slowly approached the baby.

"Kya," Aang said, walking closer; from the almost death of Naruto, only now Aang remembered that something had gone wrong with his daughter's child.

He was about to ask what had happened when Katara gestured for him to leave the room. Soon they closed the door after arriving in their old room.

Sitting down on their bed, Aang waited for Katara to explain everything.

"H-he did not survive," Katara spoke, breaking the silence; Aang felt tears rolling down his cheek as he hung his face down in despair and anger.

"I-I should have been here," He spoke, sitting down on their bed, holding his face in his hands, feeling pain in his chest; Katara hugged him close.

"We can't do anything, Aang. All we can do is be there for her," Katara spoke; Aang said nothing but nodded his head, knowing she was right, slowly standing up. He suddenly coughed but ignored it.

Aang almost rushed to reach the main room, ready to confront his daughter, but opening the door, he saw Kya holding Naruto close and feeding him.

She looked at him with the same eyes that Katara looked at their children.

"He's very beautiful," Kya spoke softly, touching his cheek; much to their surprise, Naruto smiled at Kya, who returned the smile tenfold.

Katara knew what her daughter was thinking, losing her husband Koji first, and then losing her child next, and this child coming out of nowhere.

"What's his name?" Kya suddenly asked, looking up at her father with curiosity, herself not knowing where her father had found this beautiful child.

Aang glanced at Katara before they sat close to their daughter, who was playing with Naruto. Aang cleared his throat

Aang explained everything that happened after receiving the message from Katara, finding the woman on the snow and Naruto.

Kya looked at Naruto with even more love and sadness, feeling bad for the woman but at the same time feeling respect.

"Who could she have been?" Katara asked, not knowing of any woman with red hair from the water tribe; hell, she never had seen any woman anywhere with red hair.

"I don't know, but I promised that I would take care of Naruto, and that's what I will do," Aang spoke firmly, letting them know he wouldn't send Naruto to be raised by someone they barely knew or not know at all.

"I can raise him," Kya suddenly spoke; she looked at her parents with determination, showing she wouldn't change her mind.

Katara sighed, knowing this would come. "Kya, he wouldn't..." but stopped when Kya glared at her.

"I know That; I know he won't be Akiun; he can't replace him, but..." she stopped looking at Naruto, who was smiling at her.

"He will need a mother, and I can be that mother," she spoke, caressing his cheek, causing Naruto to leave out a cute giggle.

Katara nodded in understanding and turned to look at Aang, who coughed but immediately turned his eyes at Kya again.

Aang wondered about it. Was this truly what his daughter needed?

"Very well, He's yours," Aang finally spoke; Kya smiled brightly at him before hugging Naruto close to her face.

Looking at his beautiful face, Kya kissed his face. "My son. No matter what happens from now on. No matter what. I will love you always, Naruto."

Fun Fact: (Kurama is actually 100 meters tall, Juubi is one kilometer tall)
