A semi-developed human was laughing maniacally at Kaede. He has his eyes all over the boy, and he can see through his body the ball of energy that would complete him as Dybbuk.
"That shaman has led you to my trap, human," he said before dancing and laughing again.
Even though he started to feel scared, Kaede took backward steps away from the humanoid. If he shows fear, he'll be dead meat.
"The moment you set your feet in my territory, I felt your hidden power, boy," he said. "Let me guess, you must be a carrier," he added.
"Carrier? What the hell is a carrier?"
"A carrier is a human pouch. A carrier carries an immense power that will attract undeveloped Dybbuk like me. It's like you are the missing piece of me. And according to what I see, you have it. No, you have a lot of it, so much that if I eat you, I will become a Diablo," he answered and looked at him hungrily. "Now, shall I start preparing my food?"
Before Kaede could even blink his eyes, the humanoid disappeared from his eyesight and suddenly appeared in front of him, giving him a back slap that sent him flying away. The slap was so strong that it almost dislocated Kaede's jaw.
"Damn it!" Kaede curse. In his mind, was this a test that Asahi had been telling him? If so, he'd like to punch him in his square jaw because this is not a test! This is suicide!
The pain exploded in Kaede's face, not to mention his back was aching, colliding into a hard wall or some sort of if.
He vomits blood from his mouth. His body wasn't used to this kind of pain. It is too much to bear.
He has been physically hurt a lot of times, but nothing can compare to the pain he is currently in.
"What's wrong, boy? Do you want to die already? Sorry for not granting your wish yet, but I need the energy from you to awaken to its full potential. I guess I have to play a little more to you," the humanoid told him, appearing on his left side, giving him a sidekick, and hitting his abdomen.
More blood came from Kaede's mouth, and he started breathing with difficult. He has to catch his breath despite the unbearable pain he had already suffered earlier from the humanoid's slap. Kaede's lungs are screaming at him, telling him to breathe or he will have a massive organ failure. But he couldn't think straight anymore. His brain has sent him a distress message to run away, to escape from this monster. But he can't. His strength has been used up to ease the pain from the first blow he received.
Kaede isn't a pro nor has proper training as a shaman.
"Damn it," he cursed again, trying to stand up and wipe the blood from his lips.
He had flown a few meters away from the humanoid and still had time to find the polearm he dropped when he was slapped. He saw it near the humanoid.
"What's wrong? Are you hurt?" the humanoid said, mocking him. "I only gave you two blows, and you became like that?"
Kaede looked at the humanoid with blurry vision.
In his blurred vision, he saw the humanoid picking his sister's weapon, and before he could even take a step to get the weapon back, he felt it piercing his chest to where his heart was located.
"So this is how I end?" Kaede whispered to himself when he saw his chest is pierced. "So this is how low-level shaman is? Kuso! Is this how weak I am? I didn't even have the chance to defend myself."
Kaede slowly held the polearm, trying to get it out from his chest, but to no avail; he suddenly dropped down.
"It's time to eat. Itadakimasu."
He heard the humanoid voice before he closed his eyes.
On the other hand, Asahi is panicking; he can see everything happening inside the Realm that the semi-dybbuk has created to avoid him coming inside. He can even see how he effortlessly beat Kaede like he was some rag doll.
Asahi fought a dybbuk many times but with his exorcist partner, not a freshman who doesn't know anything.
He immediately called a backup. Although he is advanced among others, he can't come in yet, and it is required to be the third year before he'll learn how to evade another realm.
"Asahi how-"
"Code red, Sensei! A semi-dybbuk locked Kaede in his Realm and pierced him with his weapon on his chest. Send help quickly!" Asahi shouted at his Sensei, who told him to bring Kaede in the first place because it was safe. "He will die in there!"
"Backup will come!" Hiro suddenly answered him.
"Kae, kae."
In his weakened state, Kaede opened his eyes. He looked around and saw Minami's face smiling at him.
"S-sis?" Kaede smiled at her. "Sorry if you see me beat up and about to die," Kaede said, smiling. "Did you come here to take me with you?"
Minami smiled at his brother.
"I can't, Kae," her sister squatted to help him stand up.
"Why?"
"Because it's not your time yet. You have a lot of work to do, brother," she said, smiling at him.
"But I can't. I don't have anything. I don't even have my father's ability or power. I am just a human, sis."
"There is brother, inside your heart. Call it, and it will help you."
"Who? Who should I call?"
"The one that has been with you. Remember your friend's name, and it will answer you. Goodbye, brother. Please do not stray along the way. Always remember that I am proud of you. I always was. Kaede, be careful."
Minami disappeared, and a hooded figure appeared.
Kaede stared at the hooded figure. He remembered it. It was the one who helped him escape from the one who killed his parents when he was six years old. He remembered playing with him and that he was the one who gave a name to that figure. It was his imaginary friend.
"Fin," Kaede said his given name to the hooded figure. "I remember your name. You are my Fin. You are my best friend," he added. "You were the one who-"
Kaede coughs blood.
"Help me," He whispered and held onto Fin's floating cloak.
For the hooded figure, this is the time it was waiting to bond with the boy who gave it a home.
"Quickly, boy," the hooded figure whispered to Kaede's ear, although Kaede was now almost unconscious because of the massive blood loss, and the humanoid started to eat his life form and Fin's energy. It waited so long to share the boy's body finally. And it wanted to eat.
Kaede's body started self-heal. He then removed his polearm from his chest as the tribal tattoo from his left shoulder appeared, slowly moving down to his arm and ending up in the circle seal-like on the back of his left hand. Kaede's left eye became black. His black hair suddenly changed into gray.
The humanoid jumps backward from Kaede's body, and he feels something from the boy with wide eyes.
"You are-"
Before the humanoid can finish his sentence, he is sent flying away from Kaede.
"You will pay for what you have done to us, pest. Now it's my turn," Kaede said, with Fin, the hooded figure taking his body. "You will die with that brat!" pointing at Asahi, worried outside the humanoids realm.
