Chapter 1 - Central Academy

Samui a young man, who just turned 16 had left his home and now stood outside of the gates of the academy he had many dreams and big ambitions that most had at his age.

"Everyone please come inside and touch the crystal by putting your hand on it, it goes from different colours from black, grey, violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, red and white. The requirements to pass are grey and above."

A smooth and pleasing voice that seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere said.

Just like that everyone started to put their hands on the crystal with it remaining white for most people. Soon it was my Samui's turn he looked at the giant orb which looked to be 3 meters in size, and so he put his hand on the crystal as he touched it he felt like it cold.

Soon it let out a dark black glow making everything seem darker before it went to grey and finally violet. It went from grey then violet 3 times before finally stopping at grey.

An indication that one was at the peak of being a Practitioner. The world had divided the ranks with each colour being an indication for how far one was.

Samui walked to the next door where the next test would be held before stopping and deciding to watch everyone else before going through the door.

He saw that almost everyone had shown the colour grey when touching the orb, with only 3 being violet and 2 going from violet to indigo but still landing on the colour violet.

One carried a smile with him and and walked confidently while the other carried the smell of blood and had eyes that looked like they had been through a lot.

The other 3 were people he knew, they were referred to as the talents of the future. Pope candidate Maxilliam Alexander, the first princess Sofia Eldaron of the Empire of the Sun, the heir to the dukedom of swords Hajin Sooth.

Soon the last person followed and so did Samui after making sure there was no one else. The next test was said wasn't even a test just a way to rank us among each other.

They took a bit of our blood and were given a card, like those at the adventures guild.

Title:

Name: Samui

Rank: Practitioner

Blessing: Cold

Magic: Wind, Fire and Water

Skills:[],[],[],[],[]

Race: Human

Innate: All in

Rank: 234

He looked at his rank while hoping that they ranked randomly because being that low really wouldn't be worth it.

Everyone seemed to be hiding their cards so he ended up leaving as he could tell he wasn't getting anywhere by staying with them.

"Everyone the final test will tomorrow so make sure to rest well or get to know each other, also keep in mind the doors wont open until its time for the final test."

The same voice said before going as fast as it came.

The next door they went through led them to a long corridor full of doors which were one meter apart. Most started talking among each other well others opened the doors only to see a room that was 10 meters large with nothing but a bed, a large mirror and food inside.

A few entered, while most talked among themselves in order to form a teams.

He wasn't that great when it came to people, nor was he what people would call sane as he always liked to say what was on mind even under the worst circumstances.

So he went into the room and as he stepped in the door immediatly shut by themselves.

He looked around and noticed that everything was the same as the rooms he had seen.

He moved to the mirror looked at his reflection. He looked at a young man who looked to be 16, long hair put into a pony tail with grey and strands in his black hair, eyes that were a dark shade of blue and seemed like they were missing something, a lean build, with skin that was snow and was wearing all black and a black robe.

He hit the door with speed that seemed too fast for someone of his rank, instantly breaking the mirror then he checked under the bed tried to open the door before going sleep.

After all he knew that if the first tests were that easy then last one was going to be the hardest especially with only 200 people being able to go the school, and there being what looked like over 1000 people there.

'Who knows how all of this is going to go.'

He thought to himself as he went to sleep.
