This story revolves around the value and rights of women.
These rights include the right to live free from violence, slavery, and discrimination, to be educated, to own property, to have political participation, and dignity, and to earn wages. As the saying goes, "Women's rights are human rights". Women are entitled to all these rights. Women's rights are fundamental human rights that were enshrined by the United Nations for every human being on the planet nearly 70 years ago.
Despite great strides made by the International Women's Rights Movement over many years, women and girls around the world are still married as children or forced to obey and leave according to how society wants them to. Issues commonly associated with notions of women's rights include the right to bodily autonomy, to be free from sexual violence, to vote, etc.
Some laws protect women and their rights. These laws include The Prohibition of Child Marriage Act 2006. Special Marriage Act, 1954. Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961(Amended in 1986). Indian Divorce Act, 1969. The Immoral Traffic(Prevention) Act, 1956. Etc.
I based this novel on India, after watching a Bollywood movie titled 'The Heir'. Those who know the movie know what am talking about.
It inspired me to bring to the world notice what women in some parts of some countries go through because their rights were never given to them. I hope can recreate the movie through this novel.
