On top of his hands, a large 40 cm translucent dark crystal can be seen. Dave started to study the mana crystal carefully. After a few moments, he concluded that there was nothing he can study about this mana crystal.
The only thing left was to test his theory before. And proving that his body is capable of absorbing mana crystal without any negative effect.
He first tried to let his mana flow into the mana crystal. As his mana began to flow, he can sense the boundless mana of this mana crystal. After all, mana crystal was supposed to be only about 20 cm large at most. The action he did just now was the first step of mana crystal absorption namely Mana Probe.
After he finished the first step, he began to breach the crystal's outer shell. To do this, he made mana slowly gather into one spot and then pushed it against the crystal's outer shell.

A cracking sound can be heard and a huge amount of mana started to flow out from the crystal. This step was called Shell Breaking.
When the mana flowed out, Dave started to shape his gathered mana into the shape of a funnel covering the whole hole he breached. Following the funnel, the mana flowed slowly into his body. Immediately after the crystal's mana gets inside his body, it flowed straight toward his chest and stopped right in the middle.
The step that Dave is doing right now is called Mana Funneling and it's the second last step of absorbing mana from a mana crystal. The last step of mana absorbing is the most crucial, he has to let the mana inside his mana core overflow and forcefully compress it.
Because of how much mana flowed inside him, Dave's puny mana core failed to accommodate it. Instead of letting his mana core break by forcefully holding the excess mana inside, Dave chooses to let the excess mana flow to his body.
A huge amount of unfiltered mana then began to flow inside his body out of the ethereal mana circuit. With this amount of unfiltered mana, it will start to destroy his body. But with his Immortality, this small amount of destruction is nothing as long as he didn't hold back the body's regeneration.
By letting his physical body take the burden of excess mana, Dave managed to compress his mana core. The moment his mana core was filled with the compressed mana, he can feel that his limit is expanding twice the size before. His problem didn't end with just that though.
Although he now managed to finish his first mana compression, he now had to deal with the excess mana. The excess mana kept on flowing from the crystal into his mana core. Since it's impossible to instantly start to compress his mana once more, he now has to throw this mana crystal.
The problem was, once a mana crystal breached with the Mana Absorption technique. It will explode the moment the mana inside it stopped flowing through the breacher's funnel. So Dave has to throw it away as far away from him as he can.
Although Dave is pretty much immortal, exploding into pieces was still excruciatingly painful. He then flexed his muscle and throw the mana crystal that started to glow with a black light to the sky. He didn't remember where he threw it to, all he knew was that it was thrown so far away considering how high his body level is.
After finishing his mana compression, Dave then moved toward the corpse of the feline monster. This time, he wants to try his devour ability. Based on what Satan told him, this ability looks like an extremely useful skill.
"Now, if this ability is like what Satan described, then I can become so much more powerful in a short amount of time," Dave muttered as he walked to the feline monster's corpse.
Staring at the monster corpse in front of him, Dave sighed and begin to skin it with his black sword. How could he not sigh? After all, the damn thing is bigger than an elephant. But then again, he could just cut a few pieces and start to eat them so he did just that.
Cutting the monster into little pieces, Dave then makes it into a skewer with a branch that he found all around him. He then started a fire and then start to cook. A few minutes later, the skewers were cooked and he started to eat.
Now that he remembers about it, this is the first time he ate something ever since he reincarnated. When he gulped the first piece of meat, he could feel that a small amount of something starts to flow into him. Curious, Dave looked at his Status window.

Just as expected, his mana purity stays 100% and that's proof that he is capable of taking all kinds of mana. His body level also managed to go up quite a bit. And looking at the fact that the dreadclaw he killed was titled Adult King, it means this area is safe for now.
He then moved his gaze to the latest notification. It says that he has to choose to accept it or not. It's weird though, why does a choice have to appear? According to the game, he played long in the past, if someone get a free ability it usually would just be automatically accepted.
Not thinking much about it, Dave choose yes with his thought. Right at that moment, a notification appeared again.

Right when Dave was trying his abilities, a conversation was happening in the dark world where Adam was. There, a blob of water and a gentleman wearing a tailcoat is looking at a projection.
"Hey, Satan did you give him a faulty gift?" Adam asked as he slapped one of his tentacles to Satan.
"Hmmmm, actually I wanted to explain the flaw of that gift but he used his last wish to make that stupid wish. So you can't blame me." Satan said as he dodged Adam's tentacle while shrugging.
"You are really.

So? How is it?" Adam sighed as he asked.
"How is it what? If it's about Gabriel you don't have to ask me if you can see this red mark on my cheek right?" Satan said as he pointed at the white part of the mask.
"You are wearing a f*cking mask! How can I see that red mark?" Adam said while feeling indignant. He then slapped his tentacle to Satan again.
"Anyway, since you already awakened a primordial human bloodline for him, there's no issue with my faulty gift right? Actually, isn't that adaptation ability of you primordial humans a bit too overpowered?" Satan said with a hint of envy in his voice.
"Well not actually, even with adaptation we are still pretty vulnerable. Anyway, you don't have any comment about me giving Dave immortality as a gift? A true one at that."
"Not really. I mean, even with true immortality it's still easy to take care of him right? Don't you remember your wife?" Satan said as he looked straight at Adam's floating body.
"Now that you say it, that's true. But well didn't she become like that because of you?" With a resigned voice, Adam moved away from Satan as he started to slap his tentacles everywhere. His mood turned worse.
Satan hurriedly ran to him and said
"Come on, don't be mad at me. That time I was just a bit envious of you. Just a bit okay."
"Hmph, whatever." Adam picked up his speed and disappeared into the distance.
Left alone, Satan started to mumble.
"How can I not be envious of you? I mean, the one I loved is in front of me but I can't even touch her without getting hurt." His voice filled with sadness.
