This couple is Saeng's parents.
Saeng's mom tears up, seeing her daughter's message after all these years, they have spent alone without their daughter even though her daughter is living in the same city.
Saeng's dad has been staring at the message for a long, his eyes suddenly become glossy with tears filling in, and on teardrop falls upon the phone. They have been longing and waiting for her response for many years. They felt like they lost their daughter but this sudden message after so many years and this gif has returned hope and faith in their heart of getting their daughter back into their lives.
Saeng's mom wipes tears from her husband, and comforts him by patting his shoulders and hugging his arms, leaning her head on his shoulder, they close their eyes and pray to the higher source, for giving their daughter back and also thanking him for this miracle gift on this auspicious day.
Saeng's parents are gazing fondly at those gifts, given by their daughter. They notice that the packaged food item is one of their favorite dishes.
Saeng's mom speaks, "Saeng's dad, this is the most precious gift for us. This day is memorable for us, this day returned our hope, and maybe it will also bring our daughter back into her real home tonight. Our dear Saeng has sent these gifts for us. I am very happy, to at least see her, even though I couldn't see her face. You remember, when she used to be small kid, she always liked to eat dinner together every day, if we missed it one day, she used to give her rabbit plush, and asks us to apologize to the rabbit, for keeping him hungry as her rabbit becomes hungry whenever she feels sad. Now, her rabbit is forever hungry, resting on the bed in her bedroom, she left him here, and walked away from our life".
Then her mother's voice becomes heavy, and she sobs again, tears falling down her face, her heart aches in pain because they are unable to see or meet their daughter as she always tries to stay away from them.
Saeng's dad speaks in a sobbing tone, " I miss our daughter every day. I just wish for another miracle, and for our daughter again comes to eat dinner together with us. I am not angry with her for leaving us alone rather than that, I feel sad and worried that she is alone in this wide life. But, do not worry, Saeng's mom, she will surely return someday back to us. I feel that our daughter has not forgotten about us, she just wants to see us happy, and not feel burdened by her presence, and she assumed that she is the reason, we had to suffer people's gossip and taunts, but she doesn't know that she is not a burden, she is our happiness, her birth brought happiness in our lives, we were the happiest parents, but due to society, she was stolen away from us".
Saeng's parents were drinking tea and reminiscing about their daughter's childhood days, they were laughing as they remembered Saeng's cute antics, when she was a baby, while Saeng was just standing in front of their door and trying to hear them, then she starts walking away from the house, then Saeng's mom suddenly noticed a blur image reflection on the window.
Saeng's mom stood and rushed, and Saeng's dad followed her to the door with hope twinkling in their eyes of seeing their daughter again, but their hopes were crushed when they saw her walking away from them without visiting them.
Still, they felt a bit happy upon seeing these gifts given by their daughter after all these long years since her college time.
They also noticed the note attached to the food item, in which sentences like do not bother to call me and don't dry out your throat by calling my name whenever you see me, was written plainly in that note, which pained their heart, but still, they were happy to at least be able to have one glance of her and also to get gifts from her.
Saeng's mom unwraps the plastic package from the food items and heats it in the oven, then she serve the food items along with rice on their dinner plates, placed them on their tea table and sat down on the mat, and started eating with mixed feelings of sadness and happiness both reflecting in their glossy teary filled eyes.
After eating, they unwraps those two small gift boxes and they were again surprised upon seeing the material inside those gift boxes.
The scene changes and the time rewinds to when Saeng was walking away from her parent's house, her legs pacing faster and faster as she hears the sound of the door opening even from far as her ears are quite sensitive to sounds.
Saeng booked a taxi and waits for the taxi as due to the special day, there are only a few taxis available at that moment.
She somehow manages to find an available taxi, which is a little far away from her current location and might take almost 30 minutes for the taxi to reach her, so she just enters a nearby children's park and sits on a bench.
Then her sight falls upon a swing ride, which catches all her attention, she walks up to that ride and sits on the seat, and then swings slowly, and a bit relaxed expression spreads on her face.
The park was filled with bright golden lights, falling upon her pale skin and giving a golden moon glow to her, but this is witnessed by someone just passing by the park at that moment, that person is a boy in his early 20s, who is observing her from afar.
That boy wore a casual loose top and stylish pants, but his face was not visible because he was standing in the shadow of a huge tree inside the park.
But that boy is the same boy who was in college uniform, standing near a food stall on ' Sky road', while he was eating a street food item, he noticed her from the crowd because he felt her look and personality was different from the crowd.
Once again, he finds her, who is right now enjoying herself in this park, he thinks of talking to her but then his phone rings, then he rushes somewhere.
She felt like someone is watching her, she looks around and finds no one, she feels her body tired but the taxi has not reached yet, so she keeps on waiting.
Unconsciously, she notices a plant, which was quite rare to find in this city except in these particular areas as these areas harvest and grow only in these areas as these flowers originated from this area.
Then another flashback pops into Saeng's mind, The scene plays, where children playing and laughing voices can be heard, and their parents gossiping and talking with each other.
But among that crowd, one family looked like outcasts but they looked happy, and that family was Saeng's family, and Saeng's parents were present in the same park nearby her parent's house.
Her parents are shown happily teaching Saeng about each plant present inside that park to her by doing funny imitations to make it a fun lesson for Saeng.
Although she had a neutral expression on her face, her parents were able to notice a bright glint of curiosity reflecting through her eyes, which made them happy to know their daughter is eager to learn.
But there was a particular plant, which was close to their hearts, which was the Saeng-sacho flower plant, and her name was given this flower name as during Saeng's birth, Saeng was almost dead but due to some miracle, she survived and returned to them from almost death.
And, this flower is a rare purple flower, which is called is called Pyrenean violet. This flower has a legend saying that this purple flower has the power to bring back the dead to life.
They always reminded her that they love her just the way she is, and they also always advised her that they don't want her to cause trouble to others by hurting others' feelings to which Saeng always used to reply that, it's better, to be honest.
The scene changes into a more tension-filled scene, where muffled sob sounds can be heard, and all parents present in the same park were laughing mockingly at someone, that was a sobbing small Saeng, who was hugging a rabbit close to her body, and talking with that rabbit, that scene made the people laugh at her and some kids were trying to steal the rabbit away from Saeng, so she pushed those kids away and ran inside her house.
Then, Saeng's parents came out of their house and gave a scolding to those people, who were mocking their dear daughter, and then her parents apologized on behalf of their daughter to those kids, who were pushed to the ground by Saeng.
Saeng's parents walked inside their house at a fast pace.
When they walked upstairs to Saeng's bedroom, they saw their beautiful Saeng sitting on her bed cooped up in a blanket, holding the rabbit close to her and talking to that rabbit in a soft tone.
Saeng's parents were shocked by hearing her soft tone and also seeing the fond expression on her face for that rabbit because she showed emotion for the first time, they were happy and sad at the same time as they wanted their daughter to feel emotions but didn't want Saeng to feel pain/sad.
They walked up to her bed and then sat beside her and placed their hand upon her head and comforted her and called her name in a soft tone.
Saeng's mom caresses her hair, then she notices them and bursts out in anger, and asks them, " Why they were laughing at me? Why they were hurting my accomplice? Why do people behave like this?".
Saeng's dad held her both hands, kissed her hands, and speaks in a soft tone, " Saeng-a, humans behave unpredictable at times, even if they don't realize what they are doing or saying, but that doesn't mean, we should always behave with an unpredictable nature".
Then, Saeng's parents placed a plant pot in front of her and that plant was Saeng-sacho, which is a rare purple flower.
They also explained the symbolism and other things about the flowering plant, which made her realize something, and she hugged her mom and dad on her own for the first and last time.
At that moment, small Saeng felt something warm inside her heart, but it only lasted for a few seconds, and her neutral expression reappeared on her face, and then she was just neutral like this as years passed by until she came to the age of 18, she left her house with leaving a note for her parents.
Then she was back to reality, when she hears the honking sound of a taxi, the taxi was standing in front of the park, she enters inside the vehicle and then the vehicle rides away from that place.
The scene is again changed back to inside her parent's house, they were shocked seeing the gift and they observe it, and after a few minutes, they hear a bell ring.
Then Saeng's mom immediately runs and opens the door and, finds Saeng standing in front of them with an intense dull gaze staring back at them.
Saeng enters without waiting for them to welcome her inside, her parents are shocked by her visit, they felt happy inside. Saeng's mom followed her daughter inside.
Then Saeng's dad closed the door and walks into the hall room, Saeng's mom already sat down near her daughter on the floor, then Saeng's dad to sits down on the floor, next to Saeng.
Saeng, then speaks in a neutral tone, " I have come here because I want to take back something precious of mine, which is present in my bedroom. And, I thought as today is a special day, so, I should at least visit my parents because I felt like doing it but there is no other reason behind it, or, maybe that Saeng sacho plant led me here".
They were happy that Saeng is going to stay in her home for at least some more minutes, and they once again arranged the dinner plates with light food items as they had still enough amount of food dish servings left for all of them to eat dinner together tonight.
