Scarlett didn't know how long she had been unconscious. However, her body felt very light, as if she was floating above the clouds.
"Scarlett, why are you here?" a soft voice from a woman made Scarlett open her eyes.
Scarlett widened her eyes when she saw that she was in a room that looked familiar. A thunderstorm sounded from outside, and flashes of lightning lit up the completely dark room.
"This must be a dream," Scarlett whispered to herself.
She couldn't believe that the scene in front of her was real.
The room that Scarlett now occupied was her late mother's room.
Scarlett was standing in front of the bed, staring at her mother's body which was hanging from the ceiling. Her mother's eyes were bulging, showing the blood vessels that had popped up due to the rope pressing her neck.
Blood was pouring from her mother's eyes, ears, and nose, but the woman still managed to ask Scarlett, "What are you doing here?"
"Mother?"
