Scarlett breathed in the night air as Dante pushed her wheelchair into the hospital garden. The leaves on the trees were starting to turn yellow because Weisant had entered autumn, and the air temperature felt chilling, so Scarlett had to wear a thick jacket.
Because Scarlett went to the garden at night, there were no other patients in the hospital garden. Besides the fact that the nurses forbade the patients to leave the room at night, the patients were also afraid to wander around in the dark of night.
However, the darkness of night wasn't something Scarlett or Dante feared. They were used to moving around at night, so walking in the park without lights didn't scare them at all.
"There's nothing for you to see here," Dante said as he put a restraint on Scarlett's wheelchair.
Dante led Scarlett in front of a fountain that seemed to glisten because of the light at the bottom of the fountain.
