"Gerald are you awake?" a knock came at his door.
He sat up from his bed drowsy turning to the door.
"Yes, what is it?" he asked.
"Can I come in?" she asked
"Yeah," he said.
Liana walked in to see Gerald with a frown on his face his eyes glaring at her.
She chuckled climbing into his bed, "Sorry I woke you "
"What's wrong now, you have been doing this since we came here and it's starting to bother me," he said.
"But you're the only one I can run to"
"What did he do this time?" he asked yawning.
"Nothing, he seems to be conflicted about his feeling for me & his life here. We had a chat and I realized that his just Avel, not the Xavier I loved " she said
"But he's still the same person, whether he does remember you or not. His just figuring out what to do with the feelings he has for you now, you can't give up now " Gerald yawned again.
"I thought I was strong enough for us both but I can't do it anymore and it wasn't the reason I came here," she said.
Gerald sighed giving her a tired look, "If it's not about you and Xavier then what made you wake up this late"
"My tummy has been aching all evening, I thought it was the food I ate but it keeps hurting more and more " she rubbed her abdomen.
Gerald sat up straight, "Liana, is it the baby? is something wrong "he got off the bed.
Liana shook her head, " Am not sure Gerald . The pain is not severe I just keep getting weak " she said.
Gently he helped her off the bed, "Let go back to your back so you can lay down " he said.
After she was back in bed, Gerald sat beside her.
"If the pain upgrades let me know," he said.
Liana closed her eyes and went to sleep. She woke up to voices in her room, her body hot and sweaty.
A sharp sound vibrated in her head making her flinch in pain.
"Mmm, Xavier, what are you doing here?" she murmured after noticing his voice within the noise.
"Lay down, mother will be here soon " he whispered.
She felt the cold touch of the towel on her head as the maid helped clean and calm her body.
Without warning, a jerking pain attacked her abdomen. She moaned moving her hands to her belly.
"Why does it hurt so much now " she cried.
"Calm down my Lady " the maid held her down.
She breathed and stopped moving, her eyes opened as tears followed down, dampening her pillow.
She could the warm fluid flow from within her to her thighs, wetting her dress and sheets under her.
"She's gone " she muttered between her sobs.
Xavier's hand slid in her clenched one relaxing it. She held him tightly, "our baby girl is gone "cried, Liana.
Xavier felt his eyes tear up while holding her hand, the door opened and his mother walked in.
Liana closed her eyes letting the pain travel through her body draining the little energy she had.
Xavier and Gerald left the room after Liana fainted. His mother and the two maids attended to her.
"Stay with her until she wakes, I think having someone she loves will lessen her pain and lose," his mother said getting out of the room.
Xavier nodded and walked in.
