The tranquil town of Lagoon, nestled on the outskirts of the bustling Cerulean City in the Kanto region, hummed with anticipation. It was a place where the waves of the nearby sea whispered tales of adventure, and dreams of becoming Pokemon trainers filled the hearts of its inhabitants. Today, Lagoon's charm was further amplified as we eagerly awaited the arrival of Professor Rowan, a renowned Pokemon Professor which hailed in Sinnoh Region.
The streets of Lagoon were lined with colorful houses, their roofs adorned with vibrant flowers that mirrored the town's cheerful atmosphere. The air was filled with a sense of excitement and possibility as families gathered outside their homes, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Professor Rowan.
In my cozy house, my parents and Kasumi's parents conversed animatedly in the living room. The sound of laughter and joyful chatter filled the air as they reminisced about their shared research and the adventures they had experienced in their own Pokemon journeys as Pokemon trainers and Pokemon Researchers.
"It feels like just yesterday when we set off on our own Pokemon journeys," my mom remarked, a wistful smile gracing her lips. "The thrill of encountering new Pokemon, the challenges we faced, and the friendships we forged along the way... It shaped us into who we are today."
"You remember that time when we traveled through the Johto region and encountered the legendary beasts?" my dad chuckled, his eyes twinkling with nostalgia. "Those were the days."
Kasumi's mom joined in, a smile tugging at her lips. "Oh, and the time we stumbled upon the secret gardens of Sinnoh! The beauty of the Pokemon we saw there was breathtaking. I still have the notes that day for our research back then."
Kasumi's dad nodded, his eyes gleaming with a mix of excitement and fondness. "Indeed, those were remarkable times. The battles, the victories, the discoveries... They ignited a fire within us that still burns bright."
As they exchanged stories, my parents and Kasumi's parents expressed their excitement about Professor Rowan's visit and the opportunity it presented for us to embark on our own Pokemon journeys. They had seen our passion for Pokemon grow over the years and understood the significance of this moment for both Kasumi and me.
Meanwhile, in the corner of the room, a little brown furball, which is Eevee, my trusted companion, frolicked playfully. With its fluffy fur and curious eyes, Eevee exuded an air of charm and innocence. I had been fortunate that my parents gave me this Eevee on my birthday, our bond had grown stronger with each passing day even though it's been just three days. Though I know that most of this bond was given by the system but I know that our bond is real and Eevee knows it as well.
Knowing that I already had a Pokemon partner in Eevee, my parents and Kasumi's parents and even us, engaged in a heartfelt discussion last night. It was decided that, instead of me receiving a Pokemon from Professor Rowan, I would just let Kasumi pick her first Pokemon and because of that, she's smiling foolishly last night and even now due to the excitement of getting her first Pokemon.
The conversation continued to flowed in the living room of my house, carried on waves of laughter and nostalgic tales. As our parents shared a lot of their stories about their own Pokemon journeys, the atmosphere brimmed with excitement and anticipation. Suddenly, a melodic chime resonated through the air, signaling the arrival of our esteemed guest.
The doorbell's cheerful melody danced through the hallway, its gentle notes reaching our ears with a tantalizing promise. The sound brought us to attention, our hearts skipping a beat in unison. Eagerly, we exchanged wide-eyed glances, knowing that the moment we had been waiting for had finally arrived.
Without hesitation, I sprang to my feet, the wooden floorboards creaking beneath my hurried steps. Racing towards the front door, the anticipation bubbled within me, making my palms tingle. As I reached the door, my hand trembled slightly, the doorknob cool against my fingertips. Taking a deep breath to steady myself, I turned the knob, allowing the door to swing open and reveal the figure standing on the threshold.
Professor Rowan stood on the threshold, his presence commanding attention and respect. He was a tall, distinguished figure with a scholarly air that exuded wisdom and experience. Professor Rowan has fair skin, blue eyes, and spiky white hair with sideburns and a mustache. He wears a gray lab coat over a white shirt paired with a light blue vest, a gray tie, dark teal pants, and gray shoes.
Dressed in a crisp lab coat, adorned with various pockets holding an assortment of tools and gadgets, Professor Rowan looked every bit the accomplished researcher he was known to be. The coat, slightly worn from countless expeditions and experiments, spoke of his dedication and the many adventures he had undertaken in the pursuit of Pokemon knowledge.
His eyes, a piercing shade of blue, shimmered with a mix of curiosity and kindness, as if harboring the secrets of countless Pokemon encounters. Behind those eyes, a spark of enthusiasm glimmered, hinting at the profound passion he had for understanding the mysteries of the Pokemon world.
A warm smile graced his lips, putting those in his presence at ease and instilling a sense of trust and reassurance. His actions were intended and precise, showing a reflection of the painstaking effort of his work. Every movement seemed natural, showing a great connection to the world of Pokemon and a true desire to share that knowledge with others.
Professor Rowan's attire and demeanor were a testament to his dedication to the study of Pokemon. As he stood there, a stern personality was seen in his face that makes him seem intimidating and mean, but I know from my parents that he is actually very kind and patient. They even said that Professor Rowan has a sweet tooth, as the refrigerator in his laboratory is full of nothing but sweets and candy. Funny, right?
Then he suddenly look at us and said, "Ah, Haru and Kasumi, it's a pleasure to meet you," Professor Rowan greeted us warmly. "Your parents have spoken highly of your dedication to Pokemon, and today, we embark on a remarkable journey together."
Kasumi's eyes sparkled with anticipation as the Professor turned his attention to the three gleaming Poke Balls in his bag. "Haru, it's time for you" ─ As before Professor Rowan finish his words, "Professor Rowan," I spoke up, my voice steady, "I have decided to forego my opportunity to choose a Pokemon due to me having already a Pokemon here with me. I would like Kasumi to have the chance to start her journey with a Pokemon from you."
The professor's eyes widened in surprise, but a warm smile graced his lips. "Haru, your selflessness speaks volumes. I admire your generosity and willingness to put others before yourself. Rest assured, I have something special in mind for you later."
And Professor Rowan looked at Kasumi and said, "Now, Kasumi, it's time for you to select your first partner, the Pokemon who will accompany you on your grand adventure."
Kasumi's gaze fixated on the Poke Balls, each containing a unique Pokemon. In the first Poke Ball, a playful Piplup, a Water-type Pokemon known for its charm and agility, awaited. Its blue feathers glistened, and a mischievous glint danced in its eyes. The second ball held a Turtwig, a steadfast Grass-type Pokemon admired for its resilience and loyalty. Its sturdy shell and determined expression radiated strength. And in the final Poke Ball resided a fiery Chimchar, a mischievous Fire-type Pokemon overflowing with boundless energy. Its flickering flame and spirited demeanor promised fiery battles to come.
As Kasumi is carefully looking at the three Pokemon, Professor Rowan offered insights into each Pokemon's characteristics and abilities. He described Piplup's exceptional swimming skills, Turtwig's ability to draw energy from the earth, and Chimchar's fiery passion that fueled its powerful attacks. Each Pokemon held its own unique charm and strengths.
Finally, Kasumi made her choice. With unwavering confidence, she reached for the Poke Ball housing Piplup, her decision made. The Professor nodded approvingly. "Excellent decision, Kasumi. Piplup will be a steadfast companion on your journey."
With a sense of excitement and camaraderie, Kasumi accepted Piplup into her arms, feeling an instant connection with his new partner. As the Pokemon chirped and eagerly nuzzled against her, their bond began to form, setting the stage for incredible adventures to come.
As Professor Rowan looked in my direction and Kasumi's, He began to think for a while and with a reassuring pat on my shoulder, Professor Rowan delved into his bag once more, revealing two sleek device. It was a Pokedex! a state of the art encyclopedia designed to catalog information about Pokemon encounters. He also presented both of us with a set of Poke Balls, ensuring that we would have the means to capture and train Pokemon in the future.
"Haru, Kasumi, my business here in Kanto is all about this Pokedex. Although it's still in its prototype version, I would love to give you two of these devices to help you both get information about Pokemon you meet in the wild."
As Professor Rowan prepared to bid us farewell, he turned to me with a smile. "Haru, your bond with Eevee is special. Nurture it, and remember that your support for Kasumi will be invaluable on both of your journey. Your role is just as important as that of a trainer. You have a mature aura within you and I know that with you on Kasumi's side, She will grow to a strong trainer just like your and her parents, maybe much stronger."
With a surprise reaction, I thought the Professor knows that I reincarnated twice but the system reassured me that no one knows that I reincarnated, even those legendary Pokemon knows nothing making me feel relieved. I looked at him with a renewed sense of purpose, I nodded, grateful for the Professor's words of encouragement. My journey would be one of friendship, guidance, and discovery alongside my faithful companion, Eevee and also my dear friend, Kasumi.
As we waved goodbye to Professor Rowan, his departing words lingered in our hearts. The journey ahead held endless possibilities, and our bond as friends and partners would be the driving force that propelled us forward. With Lagoon as our starting point and Cerulean City shimmering on the horizon, our grand adventure was about to begin, ready to unfold with surprises, challenges, and the forging of unbreakable friendships!
But before that.... I looked at Kasumi and said, "Kasumi you know what time it is?"
Kasumi looked at me deep in the eye and said, "it's time for a Pokemon Battle."
As the two of us look at each other, Professor Rowan who is in front of our house heard it and said, "Oh! What perfect timing, let me be the judge for this battle!" While taking out his diary, looking at us like experimental dummies, both of us shiver.
".....Th- Then, let's start the Pokemon Battle!"
