(Matt Pov)
"Matt, calm down. Your group texted me to meet you guys at the club. Then we both got really drunk and...well, I'm not too sure how far we went. The last thing I remember is us kissing in the bed and….getting a little handsy," Victoria says to me sitting next to me in nothing but a towel. Though I feel panic and force the hangover out of my body, unfortunately, only gods who can look back in time may know what happened here.
'I need to contact Urðr, she is the goddess of time and one of the fates, that may help me compared to the others with who I have no connection in any way,' I think to myself after clearing my hazy mind and forcing my turmoil of emotions to subside. From what I can tell Victoria is uncertain of what happened last night, just as much as me.
"Shit....don't take this the wrong way, as if anything did happen it is both our faults, but why come hang out with us, why accept my advances if I made any, or why make advances on me? Do you normally have one-night stands?" I say with a sigh trying to make any sense of how I could sleep with someone other than Alice, I may not be perfect but this is one of the worst mistakes I could make, especially a day before our wedding.
"You're right it does take two to make a mistake...…from what I remember neither you nor I made any passes on the other. I won't lie I find you attractive, but I wouldn't have slept with you knowing what I know about you. Thor, your brother was flirting with me a lot, but seeing he flirts with everyone I just shrugged it off. Then after turning down his latest attempt with me, I decided to sit next to you and I don't remember much after that," Victoria says to me and I can tell from reading her surface memories without forcing myself deep into her head that she is saying the truth.
"What do you know about gods?" I ask her after a few moments of silence as she goes back to the bathroom to change.
"Like from the mythologies or the Christian one?" Victoria asks me after coming back out of the bathroom.
"I don't have a lot of time and need a definite answer to what happened last night, as I'm going to tell Alice what happened. I won't keep this from her, so come with me and I'll explain the truth about the universe," I say opening a portal in the living room to Asgard. I can see the confusion and disbelief on her face at what is happening. Gently nudging her through the portal we step through and onto the rainbow bridge with Heimdall standing behind us.
"I was wondering when the new King of Jotunheim would come and visit us, though I was expecting you to be with Thor, your soon to be wife, or both," Heimdall says seeing me step through the portal with Victoria who is just standing there in confusion and awe at what she is seeing.
"You may be able to help me, if not I need to see Urðr as she can tell me what I did last night with this woman," I say turning to Heimdall, who raises an eyebrow at me, but then quickly understands why I am here.
"I apologize Hvítrnár, but I do not watch other gods too often unless the All-Father asks me to. It would take me a lot of effort to just peer at you and would alert you of my watchful gaze as your power outclasses us all in Asgard," Heimdall says to me with an apologetic look.
"I figured I would ask, is Urðr at her well?" I ask him and Victoria is now listening to our conversation after staring around at everything in awe.
"She should be, I can lead you there and we may want to stop at the All-Father on the way," Heimdall says, to which I nod my head gesturing to lead the way. On the way to the palace in the distance, I answer all of Victoria's questions about gods and the universe. Even after we reached the entrance to the palace, which resembles the looks of Asgard in the Marvel movies from my other life, Victoria still had many questions which were to be expected.
"King Hvítrnár, I am surprised you visited us so soon and randomly," Odin says after we enter the main hall, seeing Odin sitting on his throne and his wife Freyja sitting next to him on a similar throne.
"I too thought my first visit would be on official business, but this is a personal matter and I need the help of Urðr," I say with an angry sigh at myself.
"Hmm, would seem so, who is this human? I assume this business involves her?" Odin says to me and I can see Freyja eyeing us both while giving me a slightly disapproving look. Being the goddess of marriage it would make sense for her to disapprove of me sleeping with someone other than the person I will marry if I did sleep with Victoria.
"Aye, we both got very drunk and may have gotten intimate with one another. I wish to know if I truly made this mistake and give Alice the truth about what happened," I say with another sigh and Odin gives me an understanding look, as Freyja gives me a harder glare. But I can see approval in her eyes for me wanting to admit my mistake.
"Seems some people, even 'all powerful' elder gods make heinous mistakes. I wonder how your soon to be wife will respond to your infidelity. Maybe I should inform her for you?" I hear a familiar voice of a certain god of mischief, Loki. Hearing his suggestion angers me deeply.
"Watch your tongue runt of a giant or even your adopted father will not be able to save you from a lashing," I say with deep venom in my voice, as Loki glares at me in anger, and before he can respond Freyja speaks up.
"Loki leave–" Freyja begins to say but is interrupted as Loki gets punched in the back of his head much to his annoyance by Thor who appeared.
"Brother, do not insult a guest of ours or my other brother! Especially when he could destroy us all if he wanted!" Thor says after punching Loki who turns to Thor with an angry glare.
"Oh, so father cheated again on mother too, spawning this creature, what frost giant caught his eye?" Loki says insulting pretty much everyone in this room at the same time. Freyja looks hurt, which seems Loki realized his mistake and gives only her an apologetic look.
"Loki leave now, or be escorted out," Odin says in with an authoritative voice, leaving no room for discussion. Snorting at his father, Loki leaves but first only apologizes to Freyja.
"I should show you around brother–" Thor says, but then registers Victoria who has been standing next to me awkwardly the whole time.
"Shit! Why is she here? Wait….did you two...oh shit!" Thor says seeing Victoria get red-faced and hiding behind me slightly from everyone's look. While Odin is rubbing his forehead in annoyance at what has been happening and Freyja is still upset with what happened with Loki.
"Thor…..just...you need to learn the room," I say with an annoyed sigh and he laughs it off with an embarrassed chuckle.
"Ok, enough of this. Hvítrnár, Victoria, follow me, I will take you to Urðr's well. There we can call her and she can help you figure out what truly transpired," Odin says as we follow him, outside the palace.
"Brother, I tell everyone that you had something to do and will meet us back at the clan grounds! Try to come back soon or I'm not sure what Alice may threaten me with," Thor says before he leaves with Heimdall to go back to earth. I just nod my head and wave goodbye to Thor.
On the way to the well, it was an awkward silence for the first few minutes until Victoria continued with her questions. This time Odin and I answered them all. After eventually arriving at the well Victoria seemed to be satisfied with all the answers she received and had no more questions for us. Looking at this well reminded me of the well that I once had inside my mindscape before I absorbed it all, ascending to godhood. Odin took out a Lunar, the silver coin currency used in Asgard, and tossed one into the well while calling for Urðr. After a few moments woman figure appeared before us, wearing a black gown and a black veil covering her face entirely. The woman had a crown of branches on her head as well, showing she was one of the interpretations of fate, the Norse version.
'Being in her presence alone is disturbing as if she could cut a string and I'd disappear from existence or knows everything about me, even things I don't know yet,' I think to myself after meeting fate for the first time. I can see my uneasiness is felt by Odin too and Victoria who is now standing behind me peeking from behind me at the woman.
'Odin, you called? What is it the 'All-Father' wishes to know?' Urðr says I can hear the sarcasm when she says All-Father since even Odin does not know everything like the fates do. She is also not speaking from her mouth as only hisses come out, but we all hear the voice in our minds.
"I am not here for any information, only getting your attention for the new King of Jotunheim, Hvítrnár," Odin says gesturing to me and then gives me a nod before leaving quickly to not be around her anymore.
'Ah the new elder god, what can I do for you young one?' Urðr says to me turning her whole body to look at me as if she is floating.
"I wish to know if I had any sexual relations with the woman beside me. I would like to tell my soon to be wife the truth," I say to Urðr still feeling uneasy, my question seems to have surprised her, but then I hear an eerie laughing come from her.
'You are not the first to ask us about romance, but I find it amusing you would seek us for something most would consider a minor inconvenience. Though I suppose that is what makes you better morally than most other gods. Do not lose your morals, as time changes everything, but only those with a strong will can change fate,' Urðr says after laughing and approaching us. I stand still but still feel unease at her closeness to me, Victoria becomes even tenser.
After circling me and Victoria who is now clinging to me from behind, Urðr walks over to me and takes a hair from us both. Then walks back over to the well, once there she mutters some magic ritual and drops our hairs into the well. The hairs glow and fall into the well. After a few moments of silence Urðr is still standing over the well but then turns back to us.
'You are the most interesting god we fates have ever gotten to know, I expect many great and disastrous things from you. We will be watching you with increased interest from now on,' Urðr says and from her voice, I feel she is smiling at me, which sends shivers down my back.
"You didn't answer my question, did I and Victoria have an intimate moment last night," I say getting annoyed with being around her presence.
'Hmm, you lack patience, though I would guess it is a combination of things for this attitude you have. From what I saw you and this woman–" Urðr says to me.

AN: 'Evil laugh' enjoy the cliffhanger! I wonder if Matt and Victoria have a lot to explain or nothing really?
