Chapter 68 - Ch.68

(Matt Pov)

'Hmm, you lack patience, though I would guess it is a combination of things for this attitude you have. From what I saw you and this woman did not sleep together. Like I said your morals are extremely rare amongst gods,' Urðr says to me.

"Good, good," I say releasing a heavy sigh. Victoria seems relieved as well, but somewhat sad too.

"Then how come I don't remember anything, did I really drink too much?" I ask Urðr, who remains silent.

'You wish for another answer, then payment is required,' Urðr says pointing to the well. Nodding, I summon a silver coin similar to the one Odin tossed in and throw it in the well. After a few more moments of silence, Urðr finally speaks.

'The next steps you take will lead many universes to destruction or long-lasting peace. Loki was responsible for disguising himself as one of the servants at the club and spiking your drink. Then tried to push you and this woman together, but he failed to see your extreme loyalty is incorruptible,' Urðr says to me and now my anger is rising quickly.

"I see, thanks Urðr," I say as the woman disappears as if she turned to dust.

"Matt what are–" Victoria is about to ask me. Though I interrupt her.

"Sorry, but I can't deal with you right now. I was hasty in bringing you here, but this will all be like a dream you had," I say tapping her forehead before she can react and knocking her unconscious. Erasing these last few conversations we had with Urðr and teleporting her to her room in the royal place in Sweden. When she wakes up it will be like a long dream she had.

With her gone, I teleport to where Loki is and he is currently talking with Freyja apologizing for hurting her in the throne room. Once I appear, before either can react I grab Loki by the face and teleport us both to my realm on Jotunheim. I can see the scared look on Freyja's face at my sudden appearance and abduction of Loki.

'I only have a few minutes before Odin and Heimdall come,' I think to myself after tossing Loki on the ground and restraining him with ice mandibles. I chose a place away from the city in case a fight does break out so my people don't suffer, plus they could not teleport directly into the city and would have to fight their way in.

"Why? Why risk a war between worlds and gods again? Are you really that upset I became a god and the new King of Jotunheim?" I ask Loki holding back my rage that wants to break him for almost ruining my marriage with Alice.

"Fuck you and why not, that's why!" Loki says with a crazed laugh.

"I do not see why your 'father' keeps a mad runt of a giant alive, you should have died the day you were abandoned, and then maybe peace could have been achieved sooner without your meddling," I say with a dark glare at him, while his crazed look in his eyes turns to pure hatred.

"YOU KNOW NOTHING! I WILL BE A THORN IN YOUR SIDE AS LONG AS I LIVE!" Loki screams in pure hatred at me, struggling against my chains.

"Are you suggesting I kill you? Because I feel I could talk Odin out of a war even with your head taken off from your body," I say walking over to him and grabbing his hair, while slowly pulling his head from his neck and he screams in pain.

"Hvítrnár! Wait don't kill my son!" I hear Odin yell at me as he and Heimdall appear a dozen feet away from us. As Loki is screaming in pain and I turn looking at them while still holding onto Loki.

"Odin, this foolish son of yours almost destroyed my marriage with Alice! I have turned a blind eye to him once, but he has gone too far now! If I let him go today, what is stopping him from continuing to annoy me? He even claimed to annoy me as long as he lives, I do not plan on having a crazed idiot running around pestering me every chance he can get," I say with an angry growl.

"He speaks the truth, my King," Heimdall says having seen the conversation we had before they arrived.

"I…..I can't let you kill my son, he may be a fool but he is my fool. The day I saved him, is the day he became my son, and should you kill him...we will be at war," Odin says with a nervous, but resolute statement.

"You would lose this war and you know it, I am much stronger than Ymir ever was," I say as I still grip Loki's head and he has a crazed smile on his face seeing this.

"Even still I will fight until I can no longer fight," Odin says to me with a determined look.

"What of Thor? He claims me as his brother, would he stand with you, me, or neither?" I say trying to get Odin to stand down.

"Whatever Thor chooses is up to him, but stand by my statement," Odin says getting into a battle stance, and Heimdall seeing the tension rise also gets into a battle stance since he is honor bound by his oath to Odin.

"Then war it is," I say as the tension rises, I am about to go through with tearing Loki's head off regardless of Odin's statement. However, before I could tear Loki's head off, a being stronger than me tears through my protected realm and grabs Loki from me through a portal opening up.

"Fuck!" I say immediately as we all recognize the power from one of the most ancient powers, Chaos, who goes by many names. But is commonly in her form of Eris, the greek version of chaos.

"NO LOKI!" Odin says seeing Loki get 'taken' by one of the two first things in existence, Chaos and the opposite Law, which is currently vacant with no god in its power. The last one disappeared millennials ago, from what I know without warning or cause.

"He wasn't taken, she saved him and he seems to be a servant of hers. Loki wanted a war, and almost got it too, but it seems Eris was not ready for war just yet. There is going to be a war of worlds soon and I need to speed up my plan of uniting the pantheons," I say having seen Loki's face that was all smile and joy as she took away.

"I…..What…..Shit! I thought my son was not that foolish! He wants to end all things! The prophecy that Urðr spoke of is true then, I had hoped to avoid it," Odin says with a heavy sigh and now I look at him with a curious glance.

"Explain," I say leaving no room for argument.

"When I gave my eye for unlimited knowledge, I caught a glimpse of the true end of the universe and multiverses. It took me much to piece together, and many visits to Urðr for me to understand her prophecy. From what I gathered when a new primordial came to power, they would be the catalyst to our end or our salvation," Odin says and now I understand what Urðr's eerie words were from before.

"That means I must quickly end this stupid farse with the Volturi and begin my plans of a united city," I say seeing this war approaching.

"We still allies?" I say giving Odin a sideways glance while making adjustments to my plans.

"Yes, I am sorry for the way I acted, it would seem Chaos was helping manipulate our emotions," Odin says and he is right it seems Loki was able to subtly manipulate our emotions through his connection with Eris.

"I will kill Loki on sight now, I hope you understand," I say to Odin with a look of conviction.

"Aye, I understand. Though I won't be able to kill my son, I will inform you should he return to Asgard and you can....you can collect him," Odin says with a heavy sigh. I just nod my head, as Heimdall returns them both to Asgard.

Turning to my true form I increase the magic protecting my realm and return to the city calling my generals to the palace. Teleporting there I sit on the throne as they all rush in and kneel before me.

"I have grave news, war is coming, one of the hardest we will face. War with Chaos, I will try to gather as many allies for this war, but start increasing the soldiers we have and make sure they are fully prepared for this war," I say with a grave tone and dismiss them.

"You will be done, our King," Sarnald says as they all leave to carry out my orders. With that, I teleport back to earth and my clan's town.

'For now, I'll just enjoy my time on earth, which will end shortly,' I think to myself as I make my way to my grandparent's home. Walking inside I can see Alice berating Thor about my whereabouts and Thor just sitting there taking it without saying anything. Seeing me enter they both turn to me, Thor with a look of relief and Alice with a mixture of anger, worry, and confusion.

"Matt, where were you?" Alice says walking over to me and giving me a hug, rubbering her face into my chest too. Seeing no one else in the room, I whisper only for her to hear just in case.

"Some godly business came up and I'll explain it when we are alone," I say to her returning the hug and kissing her head.

"Fine, I'm just glad you came back. The other guys are still recovering from the night out and Thor was not saying anything, but now I get why," Alice says with a chuckle and shoots Thor a small glare, he just shrugs and drinks from his flask.

"I could you a relaxing bath, want to join and I'll explain what happened?" I ask Alice as she smiles at me grabbing my hand and leading me up to our bathroom.

Once we are in the bathtub together, I explained everything that happened last night and what just happened in my realm. Hearing everything Alice was very quiet and that was unlike her, but I continued explaining everything to her.

"You're very quiet, what are you thinking?" I say to her somewhat worried that she is upset with me.

"Just my plans for revenge on Loki, now too, and how much more crazy our lives are going to be soon," Alice says with an evil smile on her face talking about Loki, but then fades to a worried look about what the future might hold. I hold her closer to me and she relaxes into my chest.

"You're not upset with me or Victoria?" I say somewhat surprised since I do feel slightly guilty still as there was a lot on my mind.

"No, why would I, like you said the fate lady said your honor and morals are the best amongst the gods. I already knew that, plus I know you would never cheat on me, I have you wrapped around my finger," Alice says with a smile at me and turns to me with a smirk at the end. Then kiss me very passionately. The next few hours we did not leave the bathroom until we were both satisfied.

By the time we came out, if it wasn't for us being not human we'd be extremely pruney. The rest of the day was us helping do the final touch-ups for the wedding tomorrow. That night everyone didn't let us see each other until the wedding tomorrow, so unfortunately I had to say in a room with Emmett.

"Hey don't worry we can spoon if you want, that way you don't miss Alice too much," Emmett says while lying on the bed with his hand on his hip and the other hand holding his head up. He then winks and makes kisses at me.

"Are you sure it's not because you miss Rosalie? Either way, I don't need to sleep you fucking weirdo," I say with a sigh and he just laughs.

AN: The number of people upset yesterday was slightly funny. Though you all need to learn to relax and read what happens next without freaking out. I am not someone who likes reading or writing about harems, so you never really have to worry about that with something I write.
