3rd person Pov:
A young man was dragging six boys tied by a rope. The six boys had been beaten so badly that they were barely breathing. Yet he was still dragging them over the dirt, on the stairs, and through the gate. He finally brought them to what seemed like a clearing between many buildings. There were many young boys and girls in the same attire dressed were making a circle around them. They were murmuring among themselves. "Isn't that elder Nam's nephew and his followers? What is going on?" "Someone beat them up it seems." "Whoever it is, they must not value their life." "You're right. Fighting inside the sect is forbidden. Even Nam-dae doesn't openly bully other disciples yet someone had the nerve to do this to him and his followers. Who is it?"
There were several murmurings but the young man in question was not listening. He was still holding onto the rope. Then he untied the rope around them and made them sit on their legs. He then looked around and yelled, "These six are responsible for the death of disciple Wan-ho. I myself am the witness to their crime. Today they will be judged accordingly to the sect laws. Murderers are to be beheaded. And I will carry their sentence out."
Hearing the young man, there were more murmurings, "What! Is that true?" "I don't know. I mean I have seen Nam-dae and his goons bully Wan-ho, but I don't know anything about this." "They must have done it. After all, there are many rumors about them. One of them is that they assaulted a female disciple. The female disciple was not found again. Rumors say that it was elder Nam who buried the matter." "What? Really? This is the first time I am hearing about that." "Of course, you are. Elder Nam forbade this topic from being discussed."
The young man had finally taken his sword out and was about to swing it at the first victim when he heard an angry roar. "What are you doing? You heretic. How dare you do something like this on the sect's sacred grounds?" He saw an old man making his way toward him with an angry expression. "Oh no, it's elder Nam." Someone said from the crowd. The young man shifted his gaze to the old man but there was no panic in his eyes. The elder stopped some steps away from him and asked, "What is going on here? And if you don't have a valid reason for what you are doing, don't think it will end with simple punishment."
The young man just kept looking at him for some time and then he finally spoke, "Rape of a female disciple, drinking and hitting, beating an old man to death, assaulting a woman in front of her child, gambling, extorting money from innocents, and murder of Disciple Wan-ho. These are the crimes they have committed. And I will be carrying out the judgment for their crimes." The old man was shocked after listening to the list of crimes.
He wasn't shocked because he was listening to them for the first time, he was shocked because he had taken care of those crimes, so no one hears about them. Yet this young man knew of them. He had to do something about this before it gets out of hand. "Punishing them without any proof. Bring evidence and I will make sure they get judged according to the sect's laws. Now stop al-" but before the old man could finish what he had to say the young man interrupted, "They admitted to their crimes themselves. No need for evidence. And I am carrying out the judgment am I not? So don't interfere. If you do, according to the sect laws, accomplices will be punished too."
The old man exploded when he heard the young man say that. "What do you think you are saying? If they are guilty, I will punish them myself. Your actions right now are of great disrespect to a senior. Their punishment will come later but before that, you will be judged for your insolent actions." Saying that the old man unsheathed his sword and aimed it at the young man.
"Divine flower strike" he attacked the young man without any reservations. He had to silence him before other elders came. If that happened, then everything will be known, and he could not risk that. "So, you intend to interfere?" The young man did not back down or showed any panic or fear for the sword coming straight at his head. He also raised his sword and aimed it at the incoming elder and said, "You will be judged as well."
=====
In a large courtyard, there were many young boys and girls standing with terrified expressions. They were all looking at a young man kneeling on the ground and panting. What made to young man terrifying was his body covered in blood and the mangled dead bodies around him. There were about twenty dead bodies.
Among them, there was an old man known as Elder Nam, the six bullies, and many disciples who were under Elder Nam. They were brutally killed in various ways. Some were lucky to lose their heads and have a painless and swift death, while some were not. Those unlucky ones had lost many parts of their bodies first before losing their lives. And one of those unlucky ones was Elder Nam. His expression showed fear, pain, and despair. And the killer of all those was looking at them with emotionless eyes.
But this was not over yet. Many elders could be seen running towards the scene with their swords in their hands intending to apprehend the criminal. They did not know what the true story was, but they did not care. A disciple had killed an elder.
Regardless of the reason, they had to punish that disciple. Everything came later. The young man stared at them coming towards him but could not do anything. He wanted to fight them as well, but his body did not listen to him. He could not move so he just waited for them to do whatever they wanted to do. That was all he could do.
But the pain he had imagined never came. Instead, he felt someone's hand on his shoulder. He opened his eyes to see who it was. It was the old man from the morgue. He was looking at him. The young man turned his head to look at the elders in the distance. They had all stopped. Why did they stop was what the young man wondered but the answer never came.
Instead, he heard the old man say, "Jinn-ho, next time listen to your heart instead of the consequences. That would be doing justice to yourself. Now go somewhere secluded where you can be alone for some time. It must be hard taking a life for the first time even if they were sinners. Go. I will take care of things here." The old man said and stepped in front of the young man to issue orders to the elders but before he could do so he heard the young man say, "They are the sinners that I judged, and I will deliver punishment until the end." The young man had an expression that invoked fear in the eyes of everyone present. Today was the start of the legend of Kunlun. "I will cut them and feed them to the wolves myself."

\\\ And that was the end of the glimpse of Michael's past life. It might sound disappointing to some but combined with other glimpses in the future, I think you will really enjoy some short stories about his past.
