1st person Pov:
I ignored everyone's views about me. since I was still standing close to the entrance I walked back and arrived near the cake. There was still some left. I put two slices on a plate and walked back to the Children's area. And again, everyone directed their gazes at me. except for Alice. Her gaze was on the cake. I ignored everyone and put the plate on the table near me. then I walked up to my cousin Yven to greet him. "It is nice to meet you for the first time." It's not like I wanted to greet him, but I had to. This guy will be an important card in the future to use against Andreas. I can use him very easily as his attributes are not of a very wise person. He greeted me back but not with a smile but a smug one. "It is nice to meet you too for the first time cousin." That's all he said but it was enough for me to know that he was not smart like Andreas. He was openly looking down on me. This could very well make me mad and my view of the Heraiz family could drop. Andreas would never make such a mistake. He would favor me so that I will think well of the Heraiz family. In other words, Yven's an idiot. He will be easier to use.
There was no more exchange of words between us. Just as he was about to say something I moved on without even saying anything. This irritated him but he didn't do anything.
Next, I walked up to Steven and Alice. I didn't forget to pick up the plate of Cake though. "It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Michael von Revstein. I am very happy and honored that you are here to attend my ceremony Mr. Steven and Miss Alice." Steven looked at me from head to toe and greeted me back with a passive expression on his face. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Michael." That was all he said.
Alice also greeted me while looking at the cake in my hands. "It is a pleasure to meet you as well Mr. Michael." She was practically drooling while greeting me. She really does like sweets. I pushed the plate towards her, "Forgive me as I don't have anything for such a lovely lady like you. But please accept this cake as my gesture of appreciation." As soon as I finished my sentence, she practically snatched the plate from my hands like she was waiting for me to say just that. "Thanks, Mr. Michael for the compliment. You are a very lovely person yourself." Well, I guess it didn't take much to get on her good side. "Well, then I will see you later," I said to them as I walked away. I had one more person to greet right now.
I made my way toward Sierra. Those surrounding her opened up the path for me. "It is a pleasure to meet you miss Sierra. I am honored that you came to my party." I simply greeted her. She looked at me from head to toe. It was like she was making a decision about whether to buy me or not. "Sure, it is nice to meet you too as well, but do you mind if I ask you a question?" Wow, she has some attitude. Not only did she not reply to my greeting the correct way, but she was also asking questions in return as well.
But still, "Sure go ahead. I would be happy to answer your queries." I spoke. "How do you know my name?" she asked me a simple question. But she's sharp. She wasn't with Blake when he greeted me nor was, she in a hall. This is the first time I was seeing her, so it doesn't make any sense for me to know her name. anyway, I have to reply to her, or she will get suspicious. "Well, that is because...". "There are too many people here. We won't be able to have a peaceful conversation. How about we go over there?". But before I could answer she interrupted me and suggested moving to another location while extending her hand toward me. I looked at her hand briefly and held it. We both walked to a corner of the room. As soon as we were away from eavesdroppers she asked, "Well how did you?"
"Well, that is because Sir Blake mentioned you. And when I came here, I could easily tell who was from the duke's noble houses from the flock around them. I already saw those three but not you, so I concluded you were from Messiah house." I gave her a reason even the adults would find reasonable. "What do you think about me?" Instead of commenting on my answer, she asked me another question instead. Well, that was a weird question to ask but I answered anyway. "I think you are a very lovely and beautiful person." I relayed my thoughts to her. I wasn't honest about the lovely part, but the beauty part was true.
After my answer, she just stared at me but sometime later she asked again. "I had my awakening ceremony a week ago. My talent is assumed to be mana lord level." Wow, that is nice. Wait, is she boasting? Doesn't seem like it.
Michael: "Oh. Then Congratulations are in order."
Sierra: "The King asked for me to be betrothed to the third prince who also has the talent of Archmage."
Michael: "Oh I see. That is even more Amazing. You do deserve the best after all."
Sierra: "But that is not all. Since my talent was announced, in the last 4 days, many prominent sect masters are trying to make me their disciple. And many families are trying to ask for my hand in marriage for them. What do you think of that?"
This brat! She is definitely boasting. "Well, my answer is the same as before. You deserve the best. I am happy for you."
