Chapter 32 - The Old Madam’s Reasonings

Everyone hurriedly looked at Zhizhi in Han Li's arms.

Zhizhi was a little listless and laid on Han Li's shoulder, not looking at anyone else.

Han Li quickly helped her up and asked gently, "Zhizhi? Are you alright?"

Zhizhi gently shook her head and did not say anything.

Han Ze and Gu Yu did not expect Gu Zhen to start crying first. This way, they could no longer talk because no matter what they said, it would become them complaining.

"Auntie, Grandma," Han Ze said. "It's Gu Yu and I who did not take good care of our sister."

Han Li glared at them. "I knew you guys couldn't take good care of your little sister. Bai Ling, don't leave Zhizhi's side in the future. She's at an active age now, so you have to help me keep an eye on her."

"Yes, Madam. Don't worry," Bai Ling replied softly.

"That's enough," Shi Cui said. "Gu Zhen, don't cry anymore. I believe you didn't do it on purpose."

Gu Hao glanced at Gu Zhen, who was crying miserably and could not help but feel a headache.

"Gu Zhen, do you like Little Sister Zhizhi?" she asked with a smile.

Gu Zhen, who was sobbing, was stunned when she heard that. She looked at Gu Hao with a sincere expression. "I like her, Auntie. I like my little sister."

Gu Hao laughed. "Yes, Gu Zhen is really a sensible and good child. I also believe that you didn't do it on purpose. How bad and vicious must a child be to deliberately harm such a young sister? Don't you think so, Sister-in-law?"

Gu Zhen's face turned pale.

Li Dan tried her best to maintain her smile and replied, "That's right. Our Zhenzhen is a well-known kind child."

She rolled her eyes. "Speaking of which, our Zhenzhen and Zhizhi hit it off well. There aren't many girls in our family, and we don't have any sisters of such age. Zhenzhen, why don't you stay here for a few days and keep little sister Zhizhi company?"

"Sure, sure!" Gu Zhen clapped her hands.

She looked at Shi Cui. "Grandma, Auntie, I'll stay and play with Little Sister Zhizhi. She's so young, and my brothers are all boys. They don't know how to play the games that we girls play. I'll take care of Little Sister!"

Gu Hao did not expect Li Dan and her daughter to react so quickly. They were talking on their own and did not even need the consent of the main family.

Han Li's expression was very indifferent.

"That won't do," Shi Cui said lightly. "Gu Zhen is also a girl who is pampered. Now that Zhizhi is in the family, everyone is already in a mess. I'm afraid that they won't be able to take care of Gu Zhen."

"Grandma, I don't need anyone to take care of me. I'll take care of my younger sister!" Gu Zhen quickly said.

Li Dan's phone suddenly rang. She picked up the call and raised her voice, "What? Her mother-in-law was hospitalized? Aiya, what should I do? I, I, I'll go to the hospital immediately."

After she put down the phone, she said anxiously, "Zhenzhen! Your Grandma fell and is in the hospital. I have to take care of her and don't have the energy to take care of you."

Then, he turned to Shi Cui and the others. "Old Madam, I'm really sorry. I'll have to leave Gu Zhen here for a few days. I'll also have to ask you to take care of her for a few days. I'll have to go and look after my mother-in-law."

Then, without waiting for Shi Cui's reply, she turned around and left.

Gu Zhen said to Li Dan's back sensibly, "Mom, I'll be good!"

Han Li and Gu Hao looked at each other.

Shi Cui was expressionless. She said lightly, "Aunt Zhao, arrange a guest room for Miss Zhenzhen and send someone to take good care of her. Then, send someone to the hospital for a check-up."

"Yes, Old Madam!" Aunt Zhao responded.

"Miss Zhenzhen, let's go." Aunt Zhao went forward to invite Gu Zhen over.

Gu Zhen looked at Gu Zhi who was in Han Li's arms and said carefully, "I want to be with my sister."

Zhizhi wrapped her arms around Han Li's neck and turned her back to everyone.

Han Ze reached out and pinched her little face. "Zhizhi, do you want to sleep?"

Zhizhi did not say anything and gently closed her eyes.

Han Li ignored Gu Zhen's words and held Zhizhi in her arms. "Mom, I'll take Zhizhi to take an afternoon nap first. This child's sleeping patterns are still a little messy."

Shi Cui nodded. "Alright. Go ahead. Watch her well."

Han Ze and Gu Yu also expressed that they wanted to go out and play, so they were let go.

Aunt Zhao asked Gu Zhen to leave again.

Gu Hao looked at Gu Zhen's back and sighed. "I think Gu Zhen did it on purpose."

Shi Cui glanced at her daughter. "You're so straightforward. After all, we are still within the larger family. Although our family is the main branch, we still have to balance the power of each branch."

"Even if it's a balance, we can't let them do whatever they want, can we?" Gu Hao was displeased.
