Chapter 6 - 006. Encounter [I]

Donald's POV

As Frisco doze off on the highway like a drunkard. I was pissed. With a hand, I dragged him into the back seat.

All through the drive, I was wondering about that girl. She held me curious and I wouldn't let off until I learn about her.

I shoved out my phone and forward the picture to Edward, —the Shark Wing Researcher for Mexico Branch, and in one shot, I gave him a dial.

"Edward, look into that feminine in the picture and give me a report on every damn thing about her!" I said in one breath.

"Copy!" Edward ended the call after his reply.

That daughter of a bitch dares toy with me. Although, I wasn't pissed by her, but rather by this as$hole who couldn't do anything.

He disappointed me badly!

I could have just let her off since I got all I need to track her but I was getting obsessed with her mode of driving. Perhaps she thought I was following her. She drives crazily like a Stunt.

Was she a racer as well? Another round of furor sparked up in me.

A huge laugh escaped my lips. I was enthralled that I banged my hands on the steering merrily. I felt satisfied with the commotion she caused on the road.

Adversely, I stepped on the speed and follow her. The happiness in me was the challenge she was throwing at me. After a long time, I felt energized by every step she took. Hence, I raced along with her.

"La...la..la...laaaaa!"

"Lo...lo..lo...loooo!"

I ratified on the soothing vibe I was deriving from the psychic melody that my head was showering me.

"Oh f*ck!" I cursed as she roughed the drive into a busy street of people.

My speed was high, not minding how those people flare and flee the road.

I had followed her for a long time before it occurred to me that she might be on a mission. For a lady with that deadly aura to dress in such a trench coat should have clued me she was on a disguised mission.

Well, I've followed her this far before I realize it. "Goddamnit! I have to back off."

However, the street was a narrow lane and I had to drive to the end or find the means to reverse.

If this girl was an assassin, then, it would just take a matter of time before we cross paths again.

I retreated and head back to the venue.

I was about to enter the Elevator when Reverend Thomson's call caught my attention. He was the oldest Reverend in the care of the orphanage home. He spoke first as soon as I pick up.

"Mr. Donald, some investors have arrived and the meeting was about to start. However, an also important guest was yet to arrive including you, Sir. Will you make it to this annual conference?" His tone held disappointment.

"Father, I'm almost at the venue. The meeting can start." I replied.

Even though other investors were around but it couldn't start since I was their top investor. I knew it would be difficult for the management to commence the meeting in my absence.

Not when I don't send a note of absence.

Besides, I always visit the Estate's Home every weekend to play with those kids. Hence, my absence today must means something to them and perhaps made them worry.

Light smiles were felt in his voice as he respond, "You are welcome, my son."

I like that familiarity when he refers me to as his Son. I pictured the old man's smiley face and it coaxed a contented smile out of my stoic face.

That girl still gives me a lot of goosebumps.

As soon as I entered the Elevator. Out of nowhere, a panic breath drew my attention and before I knew it, a leg stopped the elevator from closing.

My eyes narrowed and a hard frown plastered in between my brows. However, I was constrained when a dashing yet compelling fragrance of a Lady engulfed my nostrils.

As I sutured to the leg, her fleshy spotless skin glowed at me. I could not but help scan her from the leg that bore an expensive black stripe heel up to the opened side of her thigh. With how her leg hooked in the elevator, the flare of her dress already swirled off, revealing the freshness of her succulent thigh.

I shuddered backward and pressed my lips to form a thin line. I averted my gaze immediately and pressed the button to open the door for her.

Behold, my irresistible eyes revealed the perfection in her within a moment.

Goddam it! She was that crazy girl! That f*cking... assassin!

_____________

Melissa's POV

I arrived at the S.A.O conference venue late. I ought to have arrived 20 minutes before the speculated time but I was 20 minutes late.

I did not plan to get there late but what would I have done to escape the wrath of that scumbag?

When the devil calls, just avoid him...smartly.

That was the best option to conquer that demonic whisper in my head or else I would have taught him a really big lesson.

"Unforgettable one!" I hissed.

I was overwhelmed by the chaos that happened out there until I saw the Elevator almost close.

"F*ck!" I uttered profanity as I shoved one of my legs inside.

The pain was chronic. I was carried away that I don't know when I do that. My eyes flared around, seeming like I need help but I could deal with this since it wasn't my first time. But this time, it was too late for my body to smuggle inside.

I restrict my leg as I usually do and turn around to see the next elevator but a tiny whistle caught my ear.

"You... can... come in." A soft tenor-like voice mumbled but a little bit fidgetted. Then, he gestured at me to come inside.

I formed a fake smile as I was a little edgy from what I had done. I curtsied to him politely and walked in. Well, elegantly and I refused to let go of that angelic face even though I felt awkward.

What would this man think of me? My hand clenched with my dress as I rub on it.

I swallowed hard, feeling embarrassed and sheepish. But outwardly, my elegance was intact.

Right on this spot, I must put aside that attitude and conform responsibly for the sake of those kids. Besides, first impressions last longer, and whatever I do would be in their heart forever.

After I pressed the button to my destination, I mouthed to the man who I was too embarrassed to look at.

"Thank you." Curtsied slightly, but didn't bother for his response.

What more to expect when I did that in front of a man?

I must have looked scary to him.
