Chapter 11 - Bigger things

Jokingly, Natasha said, "Hey Robert, you look like you don't wanna do this job anymore, huh?"

"Oh it's you Natasha! That's not it. I love doing this job. It is fun and enjoyable. This may sound very rude, but I don't want to live in this village. I want to go out, live my life freely, discover new places, meet cool peoples like you, travel the world, become very strong. Its fun doing this job but it will get boring as time goes on."

"No, it's completely normal that you want to go on a marvellous journey. Everyone wants to do that but not everyone can do that. When are you going then?"

Somewhat hesitating, Robert said, "I actually don't want to go because of Tara."

Natasha teased him, "You want Tara as your girlfriend, huh?"

Robert sweated, " well, not really."

Robert: more like a granddaughter.

But Robert wouldn't say that loudly.

Natasha didn't have any problem if her daughter started dating.

He was good looking, gentle, considerate, kind, polite, amiable. He was also good at business.

Now Robert wasn't malnourished anymore, he was not very healthy, but also not very thin.

He was overall very likable. That is why he was very good boyfriend material.

Tara was now 17 years old but she hadn't even dated once. Natasha also wanted a very good partner for her daughter and Robert was very good as her daughter's partner.

But there was a big problem. That problem was Robert himself.

After some observations, she reached a conclusion that was-

Robert was either incapable or his sexual orientation was different.

Robert, a teenager, wasn't interested in any girl.

He was very close to Tara but he was not sexually attracted towards her.

He considered Tara as a family member. as a sister....? Or not?

She carefully asked, " what do you think about the relationship between you and Tara?"

Stumped for the moment, he answered, "Friends?"

Natasha narrowed her eyes,"Are you sure?"

Thinking quickly, Robert said," Then brother and sister."

Doubtfully, Natasha believed it. Yes, this must be it.

Humans are very good at self-deceiving.

Leaving that aside, Natasha actually wanted Robert to take her daughter to the outside world on the journey. She didn't want her daughter to live in this village all her life.

She wanted her daughter to be free as a bird.

As Robert said, this small village didn't have many facilities and her daughter would not be able to grow and her daughter would always be ignorant of the outside world.

That was very selfish of her, but she wanted the best for her daughter.

She was very concerned about her daughter's safety, so she never even thought of sending her daughter to the city.

But after meeting Robert, she once again started to think about her daughter's future.

Robert and Tara were close, so she wanted to ask Robert about this.

If Tara went with Robert she would be quite safe.

Natasha knew that Robert may not look healthy but he was very strong. He could lift heavy vegetable boxes very easily.

Natasha decided that she would ask him and even if he refused to bring Tara with him there was no loss to her.

She didn't want to regret not asking this in future.
