Without hesitation, Haruki nestled into the arms and let a small sigh of satisfaction before drifting off.

The amount of confidence Hiroshi had to pull Haruki deeper into his hug when they woke up the following morning was more of his heart taking action rather than his brain.
When Haruki opened his eyes and raised his head to look at Hiroshi, he felt a strong urge to stop whatever crazy act his boldness tempted him to do but he leaned closer and without giving himself the chance to back out, he pressed a gentle kiss on Haruki's forehead.
He half expected to get stabbed but Haruki only moved deeper into his arms before muttering sleepily, "I don't want to get up but we have to go to your brother's engagement party."
That reminded Hiroshi of his schedule for the day but he found himself wishing he could be absent at the wedding and not have his parents and his brother reporting him missing to the police. "Me too," Hiroshi voiced his agreement before pressing another kiss on Haruki's head.
"Ouch," he called due to a sharp pain on the side of his abdomen.
"Do you think you have a place to agree with me?" Haruki asked him a hint of anger in his voice as he pushed Hiroshi away from his body.
Hiroshi rubbed on the skin that had turned red from getting pinched by Haruki. It could be worse, knowing that, he could not hold back a smile. It seems he has won this time. Haruki was his, he was not sure for how long it would last but for the moment, the most beautiful being in the world was his and as Haruki moved, he could see the marks his kisses left on the man's skin.
Haruki who was without any clothing stood up from the bed exposing his toned body. Hiroshi's gaze followed every movement he made until he disappeared into the bathroom and the door was closed.
No knife this time, he was fine. He did not think Haruki had any intention to hurt him this time. He remembered all that happened last night and he could call it winning but there was something he could not completely ignore. Was it all physical?
The man he was infatuated with might simply consider him to be one of his many bed partners regardless of the position he took in the man's bed and what it cost him to get into that position. If it was all physical, he would never have his love reciprocated by the man he was in love with.
With a sigh, he stood up. After wearing a pair of briefs, he went downstairs to the guestroom to take his bath. The clothes he would wear to his brother's engagement party were at home and although the party was more than two hours away, he did not feel the urge to go back home, he did not want to leave Haruki.
He made breakfast after a quick morning routine and went upstairs when Haruki remained upstairs. Haruki was in his walk-in closet. He paused at the door staring at the back view of the man he had both unconsciously and consciously fallen in love with.
"Are you going to keep staring at me?" Haruki asked as he pulled out a wristwatch from the watch drawer.
"Yes, if time would allow me," he responded naturally before approaching the man who did not bother to turn to him. His hands easily went around the man's waist from behind before pulling him closer. When Haruki's back pressed against his chest, he tilted his head and kissed his neck.
"I thought you left," Haruki said his voice a bit cold.
Hiroshi hesitated but continued to hug Haruki. "No, I made breakfast. I think you will enjoy it although it is a bit simple," Hiroshi said confidently although the hardest thing for him to guess at that moment was what Haruki was thinking because Haruki did not stop him from hugging him.
"You aren't going to the engagement party?" Haruki asked as he began wearing the wristwatch.
"How could I miss it?" Hiroshi asked playfully as he released Haruki when he noticed the man's voice only got colder. When he faced Haruki, he requested, "Could you give me something to wear, I can't go to the party looking like this."
The man's eyes did not hold any warmth when Hiroshi faced him but he ignored that fact and smiled sheepishly when he met Haruki's cold gaze. It was as though he knew that one of the features of his face Haruki admired the most was his eyes.
Haruki moved his gaze to his wristwatch before walking to one of the closets. He could not conclude Haruki just avoided his gaze but he found that little action cute it caused his smile to further brighten. It might all be a delusion but he had chosen to believe what he would.
"Pick whatever would fit," Haruki opened the closet and told him. "I hate being tardy," Haruki added before walking out toward the entrance of the walk-in closet. Haruki stopped at the door of the closet and glanced at him.
Hiroshi only met his gaze for a few seconds before Haruki turned and walked out of the room. He thought of the wedding to take place at the temple and the engagement party to take place in a couple of hours but he never bothered to correct Haruki.
Faced with all sorts of decent tuxedos and suits, Hiroshi's attention moved to the suit Haruki wore on the day he met Haruki for the first time in a long time. It was a bit difficult to notice among other black suits but he could not move his attention to anything else.
He tried not to think about it much but deep down, the thought of others guessing he was wearing Haruki's suit was beautiful. He removed the suit among the many others and went in search of a pair of shoes to wear. When he got downstairs, Haruki was still eating the breakfast he made.
"Wear something on your wrist," Haruki said just before he could sit down to eat his breakfast. "Choose something appropriate," Haruki added when Hiroshi hesitated.
"Thanks," Hiroshi appreciated although what he wanted most at that moment was to eat his breakfast which might need to be reheated if he waited any longer.
"Hurry we are late," Haruki reminded him with indifference before he continued eating.
The doctor rushed upstairs. He was faced with more hundred luxury wristwatches and he scanned fast for the cheapest among them. As someone who also lived in luxury, he could estimate their prices and when he found that he wouldn't find any that wasn't expensive enough to buy his luxury car, he chose one that complemented his outfit.
He had taken more time than necessary and had to hurriedly eat his breakfast before they headed out. There were so many things now that would have people guessing what was going on or what he chose to believe was going on between them.
They drove to the engagement party together, he was wearing Haruki's suit, and they were both late for the engagement party, so many hints that were dear to him. He could not guess what Haruki was thinking but he was pleased nonetheless.
