"Little kid it's time to eat"
"I am coming" the boy ran toward his uncle. "Uncle, I'm over 100 years old and taller than you. Why are you still calling me little kid."
"Hahaha even if you are taller or older you are still a little kid to me and if you still think that's not fair then I can change my shape for you" His physical appearance changed twice larger than it was originally. "How is it?" "ok ok I get it"
~~~~~~~
"Brother, why aren't you eating anything?" the little spirit taped her brother's shoulder. "Is today's lunch not tasty??" The little spirit signals others in the room that something might be wrong with her brother. Other spirits then gradually began to question him.
"Sorry for worrying you guys, but nothing is wrong with me. I am fine, it's just a little tiredness." he hurriedly ate his lunch and prepared to leave.
"You are seeing the image, aren't you?" he stopped and turned to see who was speaking. "What are you talking about? What image grandma?" "Honey don't you lie to me. I know everything about you. Why do you think nobody asked about your sudden change?" she slowly pulled him close and took him in front of the mirror. He looked pale and weak. "Even though you are training, your body is not cultivating. That's why I think you should tell us what's going on inside your mind. Can you tell us?" hearing them worrying for him he couldn't resist anymore. He nodded and began to tell them everything.
"I kept it to myself for 100 years, so I won't be bothering you, and tried many things for the past 30 years and more to know about the images that I have been seeing. I tried meditating and tried many other things to keep myself busy and forget about it but I couldn't get rid of this and it hurts knowing that how hard I try, there are still the things that I failed to achieve " he burst into tears and all the spirits hugged him. "We are your family and we will always be your family. Even if you were joking we would still answer your silly question. So, don't think you would be a burden to us okay?" "But what if I became a monster just like they say?" he panicked "You won't be a monster. The villagers are saying that because they don't have beautiful red eyes as you do," she assured him.
He was a fair white skin boy with white hair and a very handsome face but nobody knows why such an angelic face has a demonic red eye. Everyone was scared of him so, none of them tried to know him or even talk to him. Though he could change his appearance his eyes and his scent couldn't be changed. So, he began to talk less and solve everything on his own. He was awkward with people because they would be scared of his eyes and run away before he could even speak. That's why he doesn't know how to behave around people. He was raised by spirits from birth until now. Only with spirits, he would behave however he wanted. The spirits played with him, taught him, and gave him their power as gifts.
"My child you should go and see my youngest sister. I think she knows about the images that you have been seeing. You can find her in the south." the elder one in the spirit group said. "How much time would it take to reach there?" he asked awkwardly. "For you, it would take three days maybe" "Three days?" everyone gasped. "Elder I think three days is too long. Do you want him to die? How can he eat and travel on his own" Everyone began to argue with him. "Hey guys, Are you forgetting something?" they stopped and turned towards him. "I'm not some little kid I'm already 100 years old" he pointed to himself and said awkwardly but in everyone's eyes, he was just 3yrs little kid. Even the elder found him a cute 3-year-old kid. "You know what you are right," he said to others and made a bubble of messages and sent it flying continuously. "What are you doing elder?" everyone asked him curiously. The Elder smiled and said softly "You will see" he kept on sending messages.
'why is it taking so long?' the elder thought. To make it look cool he even asked others to help him throw the message bubble in the south direction. He was laughing and throwing bubbles when the other spirits suddenly protected the boy while the Elder was still unaware of the dark angry figure behind his back. Seeing other reactions he knew who was behind him and said "Oh it's here. Guys don't be scared. She is very friendly and kind. You finally came-" he was cut off by a heavy slap on his back and a punch on his stomach. Taking a punch from his little sister he quickly disappeared but was caught again. She was about to hit him when suddenly the boy appeared and stopped her. Other spirits were shocked to see that the boy they were protecting was not behind them but instead in front of them stopping the woman from beating her brother.
"Please don't be angry. I apologized for my elder's behavior. Could you please let go of him and talk?" he said nervously. She looked at him from top to bottom and released her brother. After a moment, she said, "You do not belong here."
The room was dead silent by her comment. The confusion was written clearly on their faces.
They knew that he was different from them and he didn't belong here, but having said by the elder's youngest sister it felt like they were caught red-handed.
"Elder sister, why don't you rest for a moment, and then we can talk about this matter," Judie said calmly.
Judie was the 10th eldest spirit and the most reliable one among them.
"Ok, I'll listen to you. But don't call me elder sister; it makes me feel old. Call me spirit princess instead" she said while smirking.
"You're old even if they call you that. So, I think that name is not the problem here." Elder said mockingly circling his youngest sister. Her anger began to rise slowly.
Getting hit by his sisters was not enough for him that he wanted a second round.
" Why don't you name yourself arrogant lady instead? It suits you well-" "Don't make me hit you again," the elder sister said while punching him in his face.
'But you just did' everyone thought.
She smiled at everyone and said "Just call me senior sister okay " In response everyone nodded.
She sat down took a sip of her tea and sighed. After some moments she began "Your destiny belongs to the SouthernPath. He is waiting for you to come and recognize him. Only after you recognize him; you will remember and know every answer to your question".
"Do you mean the picture I have seen is another person's vision?" the spirit boy asked
"Yes and now you have to find the person who has been giving you these images"
He looked at her with lots of questions.
The answer he had been searching for was not far but in his sight the images. He felt stupid for not thinking about it sooner. Well nobody was there to educate him about the image so he had no clue. After the sudden meeting with the elder's youngest sister finding the meaning of the image was shocking for him. And now that he realizes he had to go on a journey somewhere southern: which he didn't know where exactly it was.
He was pretty good at acting since everyone was over dramatic when there was something about him. Even though he was scared, he never let them know.
He glanced at her and was about to say something but got cut off by her.
"You are probably wondering who that person is, why he is sending you images and where exactly you need to go to meet that person right?" She glanced at him and he nodded in reply.
She smiled "Well I don't know a thing but I do know something thing. I know that the person who is sending you this image knows your origin and can tell you everything you want to know"
His eyes lit up as she was talking. Many things began to run through his mind as he imagined answers to what that could mean.
He asked "How can I get there ... I mean how do I get him? I mean how shall I find him?"
He began to wonder about all the possible solutions to the mission.
She explained to him as long as he followed the images it would get to him with no problem and that she just knew that the journey would be easier when he reached the south but he shouldn't ignore the clues in images.
He understood and began to plan his journey. The spirits were worried for him to go alone but the senior sister insisted that he should go alone. In the end, they gave him a communication mirror and lots of their special lucky charms which contained protecting jades and a pouch that had dimensional space containing lots of fortunes.
After two days he started his journey. He said goodbye and walked away. The spirits were all crying as they saw their youngest start his journey all alone and realized that he had grown up. They began to remember how they had raised him and how they played, ate, and laughed with each other side by side.
Little Spirit Boy being far enough to not be able to see his family pulled out a white ribbon with the sky printed on it and covered his eyes in order not to stand out in the crowd. He knew that this piece of ribbon could solve one of the tiny problems but back home everyone forced him to not wear it saying he shouldn't be ashamed of his eyes and calling it pretty. Even though they meant well for him to accept himself for now he just wants to try new. He was gifted by the spirits so he was talented in many things and in those little things it also contained him being able to know the presence of things as if he could see them with his eyes closed.
He smiled "Thank you for everything and I promise to return to you"
