{Capital of Western kingdom}
It was much livelier compared to the other cities he had visited. He went to a nearby tea shop and ordered some tea and cookies. While waiting for his order to be served, he observed his surroundings. He heard people whispering about his appearance.
"oh look at that noble man. He is a good-looking man but too bad that he is blind" The people nearby started whispering to each other.
From a distance, a fellow citizen arrogantly exclaimed, "So what if he is good-looking? He is still blind, isn't he?" Other people just stared at him in silence, neither agreeing nor disagreeing, which made him look awkward. His name was Pie Shu, known for his arrogance and rude behavior. There is a rumor about him being a young master, but because of his behavior, he was kicked out of his house. That's why he gets jealous whenever someone is good at something.
"Just wait for me to turn this blind guy's life into a mess" he began to walk towards the spirit boy but was stopped by his underlings.
"Boss don't do this, you might get in trouble" his underlings spoke.
"You think that I am afraid of getting in trouble"
"I know, boss, you're not afraid, but it's only been one day since your last punishment. If the boss finds out, he won't provide you with any more allowances." After hearing his subordinates, he paused to consider and stopped his actions.
"Hump, I will let go this time but next time I won't leave" he left as he finished speaking followed by his underlings.
"what a weirdo. Always talk no action" the crowds began to whisper again.
"How can I find information about him here? It will take me about two days or so to reach the south, but I need to know things about him. How should I ask them?" He thought as he sipped his tea.
"Hello, gentlemen, would you mind if we sit here? All the tables are taken, so if you don't mind," a tall man asked as he approached accompanied by two others.
"Sure I don't mind" he replied
They began to sit and chat with each other.
"Would you mind me asking where you are going?" the shorter one asked him.
"I am traveling south"
"oh south huh" he made a weird face.
"Why is there a problem?"
"No, I was just shocked that we have the same destiny. Our home country is south"
After engaging in a lengthy conversation, they reached a consensus to embark on a journey together. During their interaction, the young man noticed that one of the individuals remained completely silent. He was of considerable height, but not as tall as the first person. The first individual stood slightly taller than the silent one. The silent man had a robust build, a striking presence accentuated by a large cape that obscured his face, adding an air of mystery to his persona.
He wanted to start a conversation with the quiet guy but didn't know how, so he gave up.
Later that night, they decided to stay at the inn, but the boy couldn't fall asleep, so he went outside. The air was colder than inside, but it felt so refreshing. As he looked around, he saw the quiet guy on the roof. Without a second thought, he jumped up to the roof and started chatting with him.
"What are you doing here instead of sleeping?" as expected he got no response. "if you don't want to tell me that's fine" he looked at him and sat beside him.
"I don't know why but something about you makes me feel curious about you. if you don't want to talk then can I tell you about me" Once again it was a complete silence.
"I will take that as yes, so where should I begin umm yes let's begin with my mission. It's a secret so don't tell anyone. My mission is to find a -" he was cut off by the quiet boy.
"if it's a secret then you shouldn't be talking about it; now if you excuse me then I am going to sleep thank you"His voice was both harsh and soft at the same time, which made his harsh words somehow pleasant to listen to. He was in a daze as he didn't expect him to talk, let alone have such a good voice. Then something shining caught his attention - a beautiful, shining blue lotus jade. He wanted to give it to him, but the guy was long gone. He stayed there for another hour and then returned.
In the morning, he noticed that everyone was having breakfast except for the quiet guy. He approached the guy and handed him his jade.
"it is yours, isn't it?" he smiled as he said
"yes thank you" he spoke.
"He talked to me. I'm pretty sure we're friends now. I never realized making friends could feel this great."
"Let's go and eat with others"
"I am not hungry"
The atmosphere was serene until the persistent boy kept insisting, provoking the quiet guy and igniting his anger. As the stubbornness escalated, the quiet guy finally lashed out, causing all eyes to turn towards them.
"Don't don't don't look at me don't look at me" he murmured and was panicking as more people stared at them. The spirit boy wanted to comfort him but with sudden pain in his eyes, he couldn't do it.
The quiet man approached him and inquired about his well-being. The boy remained silent and then collapsed.
When he woke up, he saw the quiet guy looking at him, but the guy still had his cape on, so he couldn't see his face.
"What happened to you?" he asked
"It's the secret I wanted to tell you about I see images in my eyes that do not belong to me"
"What kind of image?"
"Sometimes I see places and sometimes people but this time it was a short period so I can't identify it"
"why are you telling me your secret so easily"
"I don't know either. It felt like I should tell you"
Upon hearing his response, he realized that he also felt the same thing when he saw him in pain and saved him as if it were his duty. Everything was clear, but he still felt doubtful.
They both feel like they have found their missing pieces but they also feel that something was not right.
"Sleep you need rest. I will go and bring you something to eat"
The boy watched him leave and then fall asleep.
