Alex stood beside me soon after and twisted the doorknob but it didn't budge, "I knew she'd lock it." He knocked a few times.
Then suddenly he held my hand and it felt cold against mine.
I sent him a questioning glance as u tried to wriggle my hands free.
"You're pretending to be my girlfriend remember? She'll be here anytime soon." He explained.
I calmed down and warmed up to his cold hands as the large brown door slowly creaked open to reveal a thirtyish stunning round faced young woman.
She was slightly taller than me, considering how I had to tilt my chin upward a bit to look at her. Her dark but warm brown eyes first graced her son's face, then mine before she caught on our entwined hands and that has to be the brightest smile I've ever seen in forever.
Not exaggerating.
"Um... Mom, meet my girlfriend, Te- Jenny."
