A/N: English ain't my first Lang, yo. It's actually the third language I've managed to learn. So expect grammar errors and such.

"Thank you again." Hecate said, sincerely.
Persephone waved her hand and said. " Yhea, Yhea. Now get out of here. I can see you want nothing more than to teleport to your cave and return to your students."
Hecate huffed.

Six Moon's tun later
Hecate clapped her hands to get her students attention when they looked at her and abandoned their magic Tomes to pay attention, she cleared her throat.
"Now, Icarus. You're at least proficient with Sorcery now. I want to teach y'all something." Hecate looked Icarus with pride in her eyes. 'He's my greatest invention yet.' Hecate thought. She banished that thought and continued. "You see, legends can become an anchor when crafting your own spell."
Medea interrupted. "What do you mean by legends, master?" She asked confused, tilting her head as she does so.
Hecate was about to respond before Icarus beat her to the punch. "I think she means the achievements of notable characters in the past." Icarus looked at his teacher before continuing. " Am I right, master?"
"Correct." Hecate responded, looking amused. " For an example, you can craft a spell with the legend of Atlas in mind. His legendary Stamina, Constitution and Strength. Your spell must correspond with the legend or otherwise.." Hecate's face darkened as she left the threat hanging.
"Doing this, you take a concept about their beings and you bring it into reality. You take their legends and modify it into a spell. You can only do so only when a certain part of their legend is known. If people didn't know Atlas Strength and Stamina, crafting a spell with this certain aspects won't work."
Hecate stopped explaining and waited for her students to digest the information she gave. Medea —Her second student after circe— was the first one to understand what she's trying to convey. It wasn't a suprise though as Medea is a Magical genius herself. Even surpassing her grand aunt in all magical aspects other than that Medea was a human— a human with a divine ancestry but a human nonetheless— while circe was a goddess.
While Icarus took a second longer to understand it. One thing that hinders Icarus behind from learning Sorcery and realizing his potential is that he's trying to rationalize magic. To Hecate that's a stupid thing to do but she expected it because he's a human. Humans doesn't have strong mental capacities and everytime they see something out of their norm, they try to comprehend it and rationalize it. But Icarus potential in Sorcery suprised her, after all she was waiting for her hunch to be incorrect. Gods and those of divine ancestry are the only ones that can touch upon her weaves. They're the only ones that can interact intimately with magic.
And of course those who she blesses but those don't count as, as soon as she blessed them their fate starts to change.
"Y'all understand?" When Hecate seen that they understood her information she continued. "Let me give me y'all an a assignment to do to show that you understood."
Medea began to bounce in her place. "Oh~ what are we going to do?" she inquired agog.
Hecate smiled at the easily excited young girl, and she saw Icarus at the edge of her peripheral also smile ruefully at the bluenette.
"You're going to craft a defensive spell with the legend of Kronos and Rhea as your spell's concept."
Medea's smile dimmed and laughed nervously. " This will be easy right, Icarus?" Medea looked at Icarus for support while Icarus had a look of ' don't involve me' across his face.
"Right? Right?!!" Medea was practically crying at this point.
"R-Right. Master is going to have mercy on us." Icarus tried to placate the poor girl.
Hecate just crackled. "Oh. I'm going to have mercy alright."
Hecate can't help but to feel pity on this poor sods.
They don't know who she really is.

A Sennight later
One week later Icarus and his fellow student Medea stood before their Teacher with tired expressions on their faces. Their clothes have burn marks that suggested that more than one spell has blown in their faces. Their teacher had no look of remorse on her face whatsoever, a look of amusement passed over her face but Icarus caught it.
But their teacher wouldn't find their miserable forms funny, right?
...
Right?!!
Yes, she wouldn't. Icarus was tired, maybe he saw wrong and their teacher actually feel guilty.
...
...
yhea,no. Icarus was not convinced, even by his own thoughts.
Icarus rubbed his eyes, one week of not sleeping was catching up to him. But..he thought that it was thought it.
"Now, have you completed the spells?" Their teacher said.
Icarus and Medea nodded tiredly.
"Alright, then. Face against each other and use the spells you crafted. I'll interven if things get out of control."
Their teacher is absolutely a demon.
This thought ran through Medea and Icarus. Couldn't their teacher see that they're tired?! And also their Mana reserves are low at this moment.
A demon from hell.
'Wait. Doesn't teacher literally live in hell?'
Icarus tired mind keep going out of direction. Hey! he's tired, okay? try not to sleep for a week and see if your mind will work properly.
Nevertheless Icarus and Medea stood away from each and waited to use the spells they crafted. Medea was the one to start using hers first.
"He sits on the Throne of the universe
And look down upon all
He drinks and eat
he devours and churn
His greed has no equal
He's hunger for power is unchallenged!
Devour!— Kronosagia"
A magic circle appeared before Medea and produced a dense black hole that sucked anything into it's path.
Yes, it devours alright. Icarus tired mind supplied.
A genius in her own right. Icarus even saw their teacher preparing to interven for his sake. Icarus felt the gravity in the area disappear, he was lifted from the ground and pulled towards the now massive black hole that can definitely suck an a entire mountain and still be greedy.
With haste, Icarus was prepared to cast his own spell too. Because he's tired and his mana is low, and also the fact that he didn't master the spell, he closed his eyes to focused on casting the spell. Trusting Hecate to protect him.
With a soft sigh, he chanted with his incomplete High-Speed Divine Words.
" A mother's love against Time
shall protect you against all odds
protect your child—
Koureterhea! " [1]
Icarus opened his eyes and held his hand before him. With that a projection of of mighty rivers and great mountains was projected before him. The rivers swirled and a whirlpool like formation and formed a water barrier so gigantic that it may as well be an Island. It really didn't help that the giant mountain stood deep rooted infront on him either.
The pull of the Black hole stopped and Icarus, with the help of Hecate, slowly floated to the ground.
A few minutes went by before both Medea and Icarus ran out of Mana and their spells collapsed before them.
Icarus spell was inspired by the Legend of Rhea, The mother of the Six pillars—olympians— and the Kouretes (Curetes) — The mountain and river Gods—
Rhea's legendary protectiveness was well known in the world. The spells concept come from that. The Kouretes protected Rhea when she escaped Kronos and fleed to the Island of crete and Rhea divine domains are Fertility, Motherhood, Comfort, Ease and Protection. So, Icarus Aria combined with Rheas Domains and her legend made his spell successful and have strong defensive properties.
Not only that, Rhea protected Zeus from big bad Kronos from devouring him. Rhea gave Kronos a rock coverd in swaddling clothing, that swaddling clothing is another concept that Icarus pulled when he crafted the spell.
So, it goes without saying that Icarus spell is strong, almost strong enough to protect him from lesser Gods attacks. Although it remain to be seen if there's any truth to that statement but Icarus would take his chances.
After the spells collapse Icarus felt drowsy, his vision was tainted black as he fell down and slipped into unconsciousness.

Medea is a simple girl, well at least she thought so. She likes almost anything! And she's at good at Witchcraft, if the words of her teacher can be believed.
Ever since her teacher brought a new student to her cave, Medea was delighted.
Underworld is a dreadful place to grow in, she can't understand how her grand aunt and teacher decided to live in a place like this. But now that she had Icarus living without her life started to be a little more exciting and 'awesome' if she used the words of Icarus.
So, it suprised her when her teacher gave her and Icarus a spell crafting assignment. When Hecate started training her in the arts of witchcraft it took several years before her teacher allowed her to craft her own spells. Icarus started learning Sorcery for six Moon's tun but Hecate included him in crafting their own spell.
Medea doesn't mind about that. She's happy as long as Icarus is happy. She loves talking to him. He's funny and clever! He makes her laugh more often than not. A-And he's beautiful!
Medea knows she can't describe a male as 'beautiful' but Icarus really fit that role like a gaulent.
...
...
Medea was exhausted. She didn't really think that crafting a spell with the concepts of the Titans King can be this tiring.
Medea learnt from Hecate that the stronger the person is, the harder it'll be to balance a spell that has some of their concepts in it. So it was a little understandable for her to be this exhausted but it doesn't mean she has to like it! And Icarus is tired too. Medea doesn't like that but they had to suprise their teacher with their own spells, so she can't do anything about that.
Her own spell is inveted with Kronos in mind. The legend say that Kronos was the most power hungry Titan among his siblings and He devoured his own children! How cruel can that be?!
The Gods that came out of his stomach exclaimed that his stomach was like a black hole that swallows all.
And thus the spell devouring properties.
...
...
After Using her own spell she saw Icarus using his own too.
Icarus had told her about his spell concepts and properties, that's why she doesn't fear to hurt him. But that'll be awful! Medea doesn't want to hurt Icarus!
When both spells collapsed, so did Medea.
The spell demanded a huge amount of mana that she currently didn't have. Spending a Sennight not sleeping has left some effects on her.
Medea lifted her head to look at her teacher. She wanted to tell her to protect Icarus but her mouth refused to move.
She wanted to know if Icarus was impressed by her knew spell.
The last thing she heard was her teacher chuckling.
Hecate looked at the two children and shook her head in amusement.
With a wave of her hand, both Icarus and Medea were teleported to her cave.
Seeing Medea concerned about Icarus health was amusing to watch.
Watching both children treat each other like a married couple was a sign that her plan is coming to together.
Hecate wanted an offspring of the children, of course they're both children now but when they matured Hecate will push the idea of marrying and mating in their heads.
Hecate sighed happily and teleported to her cave too.
'Now, let's let the fate play it's course'
A/N: Wassup! you good?! a'ight. anyway about this chapter. You see first I wanted to make Icarus spell Rho Aias but I scrapped that idea as the legend of the shield is based is Alexja (or whatever his name is) The Great. Who is going to participate in the Trojan war along with Achilles.
Onto the other stuff. Medea perspective feels... wrong. Like I did her wrong. I mean I wrote her POV tired, that's why her pov is full of 'telling' and not 'showing' like the two first povs. I'll dif explain what Hecate's plan is and what made it to reality. I didn't explain anything as I feel tired. I'll clear some things out on the next chapter.
bear with me, folk!
